Hello!

So after breastfeeding for 10months and not having a period since beau fell pregnant with my first baby (11.5months old) my period finally came back 16th Aug...11months after my daughter was born.
We had been trying for baby number 2 for a while but honestly it was so hard not knowing where I stood re ovulation and period. So I couldn't properly get into the swing of it lol.
Since my period returned, I have kept tracked using the ovia app, and we gave it a good jolly go all of last week when it said I should be ovulating (poor hubby didn't know what hit him hahahahah)!
I'm not expecting to be one of those lucky few (you know the ones who fall preg the first time!) but, thought it'd be nice to have some support from women going through the same journeys.

Ps, i don't know what all the abbreviations are in other threads I've seen so I may need help!

@eleanor1985 @vialarooski thank you! Completely unexpected to be honest and I'm slightly concerned that it isn't a darker line but there's no denying there's a line there (and on the other 2 I've taken this afternoon 😂)

Vialarooski · 03/02/2020 21:00

@whambam89 oh my god I almost messaged today to ask how your were getting on but didn't want to poke my nose in. That's incredible news!!! Congratulations 🥳

@whambam89 congratulations 🎉 amazing news so pleased for you.

whambam89 · 03/02/2020 15:19

So this happened this afternoon... I don't know why but I just had a feeling to test again even though I had what I thought was AF last week, I'm guessing now that it was implantation??

@vialarooski I remember when I was pregnant with my little girl I somehow got away without an increase in trips to the bathroom until the last couple of weeks. I have friends that started weeing more pretty much straight away so I suppose everyone is different!

Have had cramps on and off all day today so either AF is going to show any minute or it could be implantation I suppose? Is it possible to get symptoms before implantation??

Eleanor1984 · 22/01/2020 16:25

@vialarooski not weeing more but more urgency defo

Vialarooski · 22/01/2020 16:01

Also, can i ask, is everyone, noticeably, weeing more? I just don't feel like my toilet habits have changed much and they say that's one of the first signs: weeing more...

Thanks @vialarooski will give them a try!

@eleanor1984 so sorry to hear about your dad, it's a horrible thing to go through but so happy you've got your bfp! I lost my dad a few years ago and my little girls due date was his birthday - I cried when she didn't arrive "on time" 😂🙈 sending you lots of love x

Eleanor1984 · 22/01/2020 11:58

@Vialarooski thank you, its lovely to have something good happen and predicted due date is 2 days after dads birthday, almost feels like it's meant to be

Vialarooski · 22/01/2020 11:47

@Eleanor1984 oh I'm so so sorry to hear about your dear dad. How awful for you and your family. 💐 sending you love. Amoungst the sadness, it's lovely to hear your BFP! Congratulations, it will give you all something happy to focus on x

@vialarooski congratulations, really pleased for you. Hope you are feeling well.
We have had a really rubbish time since I last posted, my dad was diagnosed with lukeamia at the beginning of October and died 6 weeks later! Everything has been a blur and Christmas was horrendous, hence why I haven't been posting much. As you can imagine TTC was the last thing on our minds so imagine my surprise when we got a positive, 6 weeks in!

@whambam89 oh im sorry! Perhaps its still too early? Its so easy to feel deflated, TTC is so stressful, its the one thing we have no control over really. But keep positive, maybe next month will be your month. I read a blog by Louisa Zuissman about TTC and she was recommending these tablets, so i ordered some and started taking them in Nov, and the next month i fell preg! Ill send the link over...

@vialarooski no second line this morning so looks like a false positive / evap 😭 feeling very deflated!

Vialarooski · 21/01/2020 20:30

I can see a line!!! 🎉❤️🤞🏻

@vialarooski It's really hard to photograph but much clearer in real life. It's only a cheapie which is what makes me dubious but it came up so quickly so who knows! AF isn't due until Saturday so I know it's not likely to be a strong line

Vialarooski · 21/01/2020 20:13

@whambam89 If there's a line then it's defo a positive! Have you got a pic?
When I did my test the line came up almost straight away and was quite strong, I tested on the day my period was due. I was certain it would be a BFN but I wanted to make sure (being the day before NYE, wanted to know if I could drink or not)!

@vialarooski I will do, trying not to get my hopes up but I swear my boobs have never hurt this much in my life haha. The line came up so quickly as well despite it being in the evening so 🤞 my other half is away until tomorrow so would be nice to surprise him with it if it is a bfp!

Vialarooski · 21/01/2020 20:06

@whambam89 thank you :)
And how exciting for you!!! Please let us know what the test says in the morning?!! 🎉

Congrats @vialarooski ❤️
Sorry to hear about your mum!
I've taken a cheapie this evening after the most painful boobs for about 3 days and almost sure I can see a line but going to test again in the morning (only 10dpo and AF not due until Saturday so still early days)
Hope everyone else is getting on ok x

Sprintfinish · 07/01/2020 04:23

Congratulations @Vialarooski! What good news to end the year with, and something positive for your family to focus on in such a tough time. Hope all well for you xx

Wrigleys123 · 31/12/2019 10:14

@vialarooski that's great news, congratulations! So sorry to hear about your Mum Flowers nice to have some good news though as you say! Exciting times!

I'm under the care of the hospital now after confirming pcos but not sure they will be much help. Also not sure if I want another anymore as DD is nearly 4 and this whole thing has kind of jaded me!

Vialarooski · 30/12/2019 20:04

Hello everyone!
Did you have a lovely Xmas? Any special presents (BFP?)

I got a positive result this morning!!!!! And after convincing myself I wasn't, it was a really amazing surprise! All my symptoms have been the same as I usually get before my period. The only new one was hot flashes but i discounted that because of the weather and how high our heating is lol!

My beautiful mum got diagnosed with lung cancer at the beginning of the month and so my mind has been elsewhere which is why I was so surprised to get a BFP. It's nice to have and share some happy news with my family whilst the C word lingers over us all.
I'm praying for a healthy pregnancy 💕

Happy new year everyone! X

@vialarooski think of the positives - you can enjoy a gin on your birthday! Although don't rule it out until AF shows - it's so frustrating isn't it, especially when it happens so quickly the first time round. I'm really having to stop myself buying a test because I know I'll just be disappointed with a negative again
