Anyone else in the TWW and want to keep each other sane?

It's happens when it happens! @Chaosonthehorizon this is my first time TTC and I'm learning so much, I'm due on Saturday 29th according to Flo app so tempted to test with an FRER on Thursday but then might just wait til AF to let me know, really disappointing when it's a BFN! Xx

Raizelrea · 23/09/2019 17:43

Thankfully I'm too early on to symptom spot 😄

@Chaosonthehorizon That's got to be stressful, try not to think about that too much, if you put all this extra pressure on yourself about age gaps and time of the year it will just put your body under more stress and make it all the harder!

Chaosonthehorizon · 23/09/2019 16:42

Am symptom spotting but so far all symptoms I have had over past few months and turned out to be BFN. Actually no symptoms really so far, boobs have stopped hurting so assume I am out. Af due 30th/1st so I fear we are almost at the end of ttc 3 for age gap and time of year reasons 😓. How are all the other threebies going? Obviously I know I am really really lucky to have two

AliSxo · 23/09/2019 14:07

Hey ladies, how's the TWW treating you? I'm symptom spotting which I'm going to try and snap out of, sore boobs mainly but I had that last month with AF arrival. I'm due AF on Saturday, tempted to test on Wednesday with a FRER, I'll see how I feel 😂 xxx

Raizelrea · 23/09/2019 08:51

@Blossomingflower94 Ooh definitely a nice way to spend the TWW. Maybe bring one with you just so that you don't have to storm local pharmacies 😆 Have a fab time on your hols!

Blossomingflower94 · 23/09/2019 08:40

I hope this TWW flies by for you.

Because I've pretty much ruled out this month the tww is going pretty quickly. I go on holiday tomorrow morning and come back Sunday. I am tempted to take a test with me to do on Saturday but I may just wait until AF this month.
My BBT doesn't match my OPK's so I'm a bit confused about it all!!

Officially in TWW now. Will try to symptom spot less this time around for sure. I have noticed that I get nauseous around ovulation which is interesting - apparently it's to do with the progesterone rise.

Only one week to go for you @Blossomingflower94 - are you testing at the weekend?

Blossomingflower94 · 22/09/2019 05:41

Wahoo!! Get busy!! 😂

Raizelrea · 21/09/2019 23:08

Aaah I took a test in the afternoon and it was still flashing but just got a static now!!!!

Blossomingflower94 · 21/09/2019 15:40

Let's hope tomorrow is the day for the static smiley.
I had that issue with the cheapies as I drink loads throughout the day and I'm not willing to get dehydrated just to get a super + OPK.

good luck ☺️

Raizelrea · 21/09/2019 08:42

@Blossomingflower94 That's reassuring, my cheapie lines are really faint so it feels like I'll never ovulate - but to be fair I do drink a lot of water so the results will probably always be diluted when not using FMU (I've been doing CB in the morning and cheapie in the afternoon). Day 5 of flashing smileys today. Yay.

Blossomingflower94 · 21/09/2019 04:46

Yes 6 DPO now I think. I'm trying not to count the days.

I had 6 flashing in the end. Got the static in the afternoon of my 6th day. My cheapies go from nothing to dark within a few hours so I am glad I tested again!

Raizelrea · 20/09/2019 20:33

@Blossomingflower94 I'm the worst with looking up when the due date would be if we catch on each month. It's riddiculous 😁

How many days of flashing smileys did you have? I'm on day 4 of flashing smileys and I know you had a pretty long stint, so hard to gauge anything! I've started doing cheapies in the afternoon but they seem pretty faint.

Don't count yourself out till you're out, you never know! Are you 5 DPO at the moment?

Blossomingflower94 · 20/09/2019 18:36

Hypotheticals are driving me crazy. I'm trying to ignore them as last month it was all 'if I'm pregnant this date will be this' or 'maybe this person will have a baby too' 🙄

98% sure I'm out this month as my BBT has been a bit weird compared to last month. Don't think my temp has raised enough to be pregnant ... That and we didnt BD at the right time 😂

@Blossomingflower94 Wow kudos, don't think I could go completely caffeine free - I'm not necessarily that bothered by the caffeine itself but I love the taste of coffee.

Aww that sucks - I don't have many friends with babies or who are expecting (though one of my close friends is due imminently). That being said my husband's significantly younger sister is apparently planning to start trying in December which could prove interesting. I'm trying to think it's good because my child will have a cousin close in age. Ah the hypotheticals...

Blossomingflower94 · 20/09/2019 09:08

Yes caffeine free for 4 months now 😁 I was having way too much and I cant seem to have it in moderation.

Another family friend announced her pregnancy this morning ... Happy for her but also 😭 feels like everyone is pregnant but me at the moment!

@Blossomingflower94 Sounds like you're making the most of it! I'm also more chill this month but watch this space when I get to the TWW haha! Have you gone completely caffeine free? I've mostly switched to decaff and green tea (which both still have caffeine of course) and ocassionally do still have a real coffee, don't know if I could fully give it up!

Blossomingflower94 · 20/09/2019 07:57

It's crazy how many symptoms you ignore when your not TTC. That's why I'll only get excited if I have sore boobs 😂

Currently 4 DPO so just trying to chill and enjoy my time off rather than wishing it all away.

Still saying no to caffeine and we went for dinner last night and I had the 'pregnancy safe' option (no liver or rare steak for me) just in case by some miracle we have conceived this month.

@AliSxo Thank you lovely! Due AF on 5 October (or around then anyway). So not DPO yet, should any day now though. What about you - you must be nearly a week into your TWW now? Not long to go! ☺️

AliSxo · 19/09/2019 23:00

@Raizelrea it's so confusing as AF symptoms are so similar to pregnancy!! Wish you lots of baby dust, when are you due AF? Xx

Chaosonthehorizon · 19/09/2019 15:16

Going to try and hold out for AF but do keep thinking that the symptoms I am feeling are the same as the last few months so assuming not happening but who knows. Read awful things about c section scarring and PCO in older women recently too. Am sure DH wouldn’t countenance any assistance for a third baby as he thinks that either way is great (so sticking with 2 or having 3)

Raizelrea · 19/09/2019 07:33

You are.both so right about symptom spotting. I found a website called Countdown to Pregnancy, which shows statistics of various symptoms women felt each DPO and whether that resulted in a pregnancy, and it really shows that the vast majority of symptoms can be experienced by women at that point of their cycle regardless of whether they're pregnant or not. Especially with early symptom spotting there seemed to be second to none that were a clear indicator of pregnancy. I've found it helpful to look at!

AliSxo · 18/09/2019 22:58

Hey I've not been as obsessed with it all this month, last month was the first one off the pill and I was symptom spotting and testing so early but this month I've only done 3 OPK tests so not sure when I exactly ovulated. Flo app is predicting me at 4DPO so fingers crossed for a BFP this month, I don't want to test this month and let AF let me know so we'll see if that lasts xxxx

Blossomingflower94 · 18/09/2019 21:22

I hope its good things that have taken your mind off TTC!

I'm feeling a lot more chilled out this month. Not symptom spotting. I've told myself that the only symptom that will make me think i'm pregnant is sore boobs because i've never had them before! Everything else is just a normal cycle for me apparently.

I said this last month but I think im going to wait for AF. I go on holiday soon and won't be back till the 28th so there is no point testing before then anyway. I'm definitely not taking tests away with me and were staying super remote so wont be able to buy any. That combined with the fact that I don't think we DTD at the right time this month is probably why i'm chilled. haha.

How about you? When are you planning on testing?

OP posts:
Chaosonthehorizon · 18/09/2019 21:15

Blossomingflower94 better I think thanks. Have had some other stuff to deal with so has taken my mind off ttc. Let’s see, when are you testing or waiting until AF? How are you doing?
