Anyone else in the TWW and want to keep each other sane?

Got dome brown spotting when I wiped so I think AF is on her way too.

I think it's easy to get carried away during the first TTC cycle as it's all so new and you're suddenly looking for all these things you never paid attention to. Hopefully things will get easier/less insane in the next cycle, I tend to get obsessed with things at the best of times...

flossy12 · 03/09/2019 13:03

@AliSxo @itssquidstella I'm sorry to hear that 😣 hope your both okay x

I'm 8dpo today, and nearly caved and tested but I held out 💪🏻 not many symptoms at all but suppose until AF shows you never know

Nic555 · 03/09/2019 12:47

Just wrote a long post the disappeared. I'm making some changes this month as well. Going to stop the ovia app ,stop Googling a millions things and stop checking my cervical fluid and cervix position as I have the OPK anyway so it's pointless and it just stresses me out.

I am tempted to try something to shorten cycle but don't want to mess anything up. I have had a 37 and 43 day cycle after ending BC.

Also tempted to try preseed as never notice watery cervical fluid and want to give the sperm the best chance

I have a tilted cervix but Google tells me it should make no difference sperm will find there way.

I may exercise more as well although I am a normal weight. I am definitely not symptom spotting. This month I thought I might have got my BFP as had no symptoms of AF and got my hopes up but she still came. I am concerned my periods are really light make some worry my womb lining won't be thick enough for implantation. It helps to know other people are in similar position. I thought I'd be chilled about it for the first few months but looks like I'm not 🙈

november90 · 03/09/2019 10:45

I got a BFN yesterday at 12 dpo so I know I'm out! It's ok though, I'm expecting it!

I'm considering taking soy isoflavones next month as my cycles are so long and I'm really not convinced that I'm ovulating. Apparently it's really good to help bring ovulation forward and improve the quality of the egg that's being released! I have suspected PCOS (never had a diagnosis but i have been told i have cysts on my ovaries, I have some darker facial hair(which I bleach thank god!!) and my cycles are horrendous... ranging from 36-42 days :(! ). Has anyone ever heard of these/ tried them?
I'm also gonna add some primrose oil tablets into the mix as I've read some good things about them too :)

mrsc1987 · 03/09/2019 10:05

Still no af 15dpo, did a frer and bfn so i have no idea whats going on but I'm classing it as im out and not pregnant as I'm more than sure it would have a faint line at least by now. Hate this waiting game!

Raizelrea · 03/09/2019 09:37

Sorry to hear about all the AF arrivals!

I love your list @Blossomingflower94 it sounds like the best approach to TTC. Great way of looking at it all, this month was necessary for you to learn more about yourself, both body and mind.

I also had a chat with my mum just yesterday, I always knew her and my dad had issues with conceiving but I never knew what exactly it was caused by (other than vague "compatibility issues"), she now told me that apparently she has a tilted uterus while my dad had lazy sperm, it's good to know that it's nothing that should affect me thankfully. Was nice to chat to her about it all.

My AF us not due till Friday or Saturday, but definitely agree that next month I will try to avoid early testing. I was tempted to test this morning but decided against it, will test on Friday morning before we attend wedding number two.

What's everyone doing supplement wise?

itssquidstella · 03/09/2019 09:23

AF has just shown up for me too. @Blossomingflower94 that's an excellent list and I'm going to try not to symptom spot either next month - it's driven me mad!

MrsMc2019 · 03/09/2019 08:36

Currently 13dpo. AF due tomorrow, I can already feel the dull ache in my lower back so I think I can safely say we're out this month.

Trying to be positive with the thought that our next fertile week is actually our wedding week so lots of excuses to BD!

Blossomingflower94 · 03/09/2019 08:28

Day 2 of AF today for me. Deciding to try something a little different. Maybe a way of keeping positive. If AF has recently arrived for you feel free to add a comment doing the same.

5 Things I learned this cycle:

  1. I get cramps throughout the whole cycle - no point symptoms spotting these
  2. Apparently I get constipation during the TWW even if not pregnant
  3. I need to chill out, getting worked up about when and obsessing over OPK's is not going to help my fertility
  4. I've learned loads about my nutrition and health - my diet is (was) awful
  5. I have a great relationship with my mum and asking her loads of questions has only brought us closer

3 things I WONT be doing this month:

  1. Symptom spotting - there is really no point. Although these two weeks felt like an eternity i'm sure that I made it 100 times worse
  2. Testing every day from 9DPO - when AF arrives, she arrives.
  3. Constantly logging every cramp or bit of gas on Ovia. Talk about going crazy!

3 things I WILL be doing this month:

  1. Exercise - I didn't do much (other than walking the dog) last month. I'm going to do some gentle running or go on my bike more often. Will help with distressing too.
  2. Enjoy the time me and DP have together, go out more and spent quality time together.
  3. Staying positive!!

hope you ladies can relate and maybe want to post your own points!

Take care all

Hey girls I'm out AF has arrived, best of luck to all of you! It's my first cycle trying so I can't be too disheartened but still fed up xx

itssquidstella · 03/09/2019 07:12

*crampy not crappy!

itssquidstella · 03/09/2019 07:11

@MrsMeow2019 bless your cat, that's really sweet!

After a bit of spotting yesterday I felt super bloated and a bit crappy so I was convinced I'd wake up to AF this morning, but she's not here yet so I suppose I'm still in the game. I bet she shows up halfway through my first Y7 lesson when I can't escape 😂

MrsMeow2019 · 02/09/2019 22:30

@AliSxo I'm 24-27 days so similar boat, we're in the normal range yay! If I'm having a 24 day month I'm due AF tomorrow....I do wish she'd email me at the beginning of the month and let me know when she's arriving, rude really!

@mrsc1987 True, it's really tough isn't it, bleeding is so common in early pregnancy as well, I think our bodies are definitely trying to confuse us all!

My cat just came to sit with me , she never does that ever, she's very independent and aloof. I think she knows I'm stressed lol

Bring on Friday ladies!

Hi everyone!
So glad to have found this thread, hope you don’t mind me joining in. It’s so nice to not feel alone in the waiting!
I’m 10 dpo, did a test yesterday and it was bfn, got very upset but someone said that was too early to test so maybe all hope is not lost this month 🤞🏻
TTC for around 8 months now and still getting used to all the tracking and symptom spotting. I’ve been diagnosed with PCOS and not ovulating every month, so feels like the pressure is on even more at the moment! No idea when AF is due as I’m so irregular, so think I will wait until the weekend (15 dpo) before testing again.
Sending lots of positive vibes to you all ❤️ x

mrsc1987 · 02/09/2019 22:25

@Mrsmeow2019 i used the clearblue digital advance had my static smiley on 18th so ovulation was predicted to be the 19th according to the app, im surely too late for implantation, tested saturday 12dpo and was bfn, guess i will see what tomorrow brings. Unless ovulated slightly later than predicted, we dtd up to the 20th

Nic555 · 02/09/2019 22:20

@AliSxo
25 days is completely normal not long and you can try again

AliSxo · 02/09/2019 22:08

Apologies 25 day cycle. X

AliSxo · 02/09/2019 22:04

If my AF has arrived tonight then looks like I'm having 21 day cycles which isn't too bad but not sure if this effects fertility x feeling fed up tonight x

Nic555 · 02/09/2019 21:47

@MrsMeow2019
I would definitely recommend. Others you could be timing it completely wrong. I'm not very good at looking for other signs like cervical mucus. This month I'm just gonna scrap symptom spotting and wait for my stick to change. The clear blue show high and peak ovulation so you get a few days notice. I've deleted my app for this month as well as spend far too much time on it. I'm hoping relaxing will help. Easier said than done though x

MrsMeow2019 · 02/09/2019 21:47

Omg ignore me, I've confused myself and clearly need to go to bed!

Night ladies, hope Tuesday is a more positive day for everyone x

@Blossomingflower94 me too actually as my next AF will be due 29th September, maybe this thread can be kept alive! Seems a shame to start all over again :(

MrsMeow2019 · 02/09/2019 21:43

@Blossomingflower94 Sorry to hear AF has arrived, it's pants isn't it. But you can focus on the next cycle, do you have any new strategies to try or changes you think you'll make ? I'm already thinking I'm gonna get rid of the tests as it's just caused me more stress than necessary! And maybe look at doing SMEP.

@Nic555 Maybe I need to try the clear blue ones, FMU would be so much easier for me , may follow your recommendation , they just seem so expensive. It must be nice t know you ovulated, I'm not sure I did which means it's so difficult to work out what DPO you are :(

Nic555 · 02/09/2019 21:42

@Blossomingflower94
They are so much easier. Trying to last 4 hours to do an OPK is so hard 😂 they are more expensive though so I think I'll use my cheap ones as well. I wish my cycle was shorter another 28 days to wait before I'm even in my fertile week is so annoying. Puts more pressure on us to get the BFP x

Blossomingflower94 · 02/09/2019 21:39

@nic555 i've ordered some clear blue for this month. Found it super difficult with the cheap opk's because of shifts. Hopefully the october bus will give us a good month.

Only + of AF making an appearance now is that I have another shot at a Sept BFP as my cycles are only 27 days (well this one was 25!)
