@Sophieb15 I hope so... there was a gap of dtd from CD9 to CD14 so I'm worried if I did ov early that I didn't catch it.
I've got some twinges today but no cm. I don't know whether to test again this evening or just leave it until tomorrow fmu.

Keeping everything crossed for you and @mrssunshinexxx x

mrssunshinexxx · 03/09/2019 12:42

Fingers crossed !! Xxx @Sophieb15

@mrssunshinexxx If you do tonight you have done 4 times in your fertile window so your def covered this month. All we can do is be positive every month.

Hopefully we will both be loading our BFP's this month. So if O day is today if you haven't got AF this day 2 weeks time you have a great chance of getting a BFP. Smile xx

mrssunshinexxx · 03/09/2019 12:32

@Sophieb15 I am sill trying to be positive if we can do tonight which I am confident we will I think we have done well compared to the last 5 months.

Can't wait til we are uploading BFPs!!!!

@Tamalama You have DTD loads anyway so you should be covered.

@mrssunshinexxx Tell him it has to happen tonight and in the morning egg stays around for 24 hours so if you released this morning that will be another 2 BD's done in your FW. Smile

When we are not TTC we are like a once a week kinda couple Smile so this is a lot for us too xx

mrssunshinexxx · 03/09/2019 12:10

@Tamalama @Sophieb15 yes I've text him to let him know it's happening tonight whether he likes it or not Grin
He will be leaving in the morning so can try to do then to but I doubt it

I'm barely in the mood for it most of time but I make myself cos I want us to start a family and when I get going o enjoy it !

We have never dtd this much in the run up so I'm hoping some swimmers are up there ready and waiting for the egg had a few pains in the night and early this morn so thinking I could of released one xx

@MrsD0147 @Fredthespider Thank you ladies, it's so confusing isn't it?

@mrssunshinexxx I'm sorry DH was acting that way, but it's great that he apologised and you're definitely in a with a shot regarding ov!

@Sophieb15 When I ran out of test sticks I threw the holder away, I guess it's now just like starting from scratch again 🤦‍♀️ having said that, lines on the clearblue test I took yesterday evening and this morning were so faint, as was the line on the cheapie I did too so I reckon if I did ov its been and gone v early... I'll still stick to my dtd plan though. As of Friday I won't see DH until 14th sept...

Sophieb15 · 03/09/2019 10:30

@mrssunshinexxx Static yesterday means O day is roughly today so DTD tonight if you can and you should be covered. Is he there tomorrow too? Maybe you could too tomorrow too? SMEP says to DTD the 3 days from when you get your static!! Men are so clueless I went through a month or 2 at the start where I used actually get angry with him over it. You actually have to sit them down and explain it so they understand. I had to do that with my OH the start of last month and in fairness we did everything we could. He has started off this month great too so far.

I caved and got the CB O sticks they arrive Thursday which will be CD 12. My plan was not to test with O sticks and do CD 7,9,11,13,14,15,16,17,18 and cd 20 for luck but thought that was a bit excessive so prefer to do SMEP do every 2nd day until my static take a break and one for luck. 6 days together i just can't do LOL

@Tamalama do you still have the holder you got your flashing on? Use that one don't use the new one!

@Sunflower2019 It does get stressful try not to argue about it though I've learned that in the last 8 months!

Sophieb15 · 03/09/2019 10:03

@Lauralozzle Congrats on the job Smile I'm doing SMEP too but I'm doing it on the odd days instead to change it up. CD7 and CD 9 done so far.

mrssunshinexxx · 03/09/2019 09:58

@MrsD0147

@Fredthespider thanks so much he has sent me a text this morning apologising saying he is stressed with work we will hopefully get a quickie in tonight before he leave and I only got my static yesterday it says you due to ovulate anytime within 48 hours so might be ok xx

MrsD0147 · 03/09/2019 09:35

@Tamalama i agree just stick to your original plan as there could have been a fault on the sticks or anything, Ignorance is bliss i think but that is easy to say as when you are trying to TTC i think you think about and analyse everything. I apparently ovulated 5 days ago wwhich would have been early so don't know what my body is doing but we will see in a couple of weeks.

@mrssunshinexxx i know exactly what you mean - my DH doesn't actually understand that there is a small window you can get pregnant in i think he just thinks every time you have sex might the time...they must have skipped biology i think !!

Fredthespider · 03/09/2019 09:35

@Tamalama sorry to hear it's all a bit confusing for you, but good to stick to your DTD plan and try not to get disheartened.

@Lauralozzle congratulations! That's so exciting :)

@mrssunshinexxx massive hugs, I know you were really excited about this month. I hope you manage to find time to DTD soon x

Sunflower2019 · 03/09/2019 09:29

This is prob tmi but my partner always gets worried about me hurting him when we are dtd.. I was lubricated and he kept saying it doesn’t feel right 🙄 he snapped his thingy years ago and it seems to be an issue.. anyway so I got in a grump and he did and ended up just going to sleep 🤦🏽‍♀️ This whole process has been a lot more stressful than I was intending x

mrssunshinexxx · 03/09/2019 08:06

@Tamalama sorry I'm not sure what to suggest I'm really not that clued up on it there's an ovulation corner thread on the conception board the op really knows what they are talking about may be worth asking there advise ? I think try to keep positive dtd like you say until dh goes away and cross your fingers it's all any of us can do it's so shit see my post below I'm pissed off with my husband he definitely is NOT understanding this small window and to not dtd the day I get the static when he's home has really fucked me off

@Lauralozzle congrats on the new job!

Tamalama · 03/09/2019 07:56

I think I'm out already 😕 we dtd CD7, 9, 15 & 16 and got flashing smiley on CD15. I then ran out of tests but I caved yesterday and bought a new box of clearblue. I know that using a new test holder gives a low reading for the first test so I wasn't surprised by that yesterday evening, but I've just done an fmu and it's still low. Now I'm wondering if I've ov at all this month. I actually had more some cm and twinges last week when I kept getting low readings and the blue lines were stronger than what they've been the last few days, even when I got the flashing smiley. So now I'm confused that maybe I did ov last week with low readings due to the other symptoms or that I haven't ov this month... either way, I'm still sticking to my dtd plan. Just wish I hadn't bought any more tests, sometimes ignorance is bliss 🙄

mrssunshinexxx · 03/09/2019 07:48

Congrats @Lauralozzle

Well we didn't dtd last night or this morn I tried but he said he was too stressed I feel so gutted I wonder if we can manage tonight whether I still have any chance.

Oh wow, been away from mumsnet for a few days, will catch up later.

CD8 was yesterday so SMEP started all over again. I get a day off today :) DTD CD 8 ✅

Oh, and that job I applied for- I got it! Don’t know when I start yet, but I’m well chuffed!

Tamalama · 02/09/2019 17:23

@mrssunshinexxx Well I only started using clearblue opks last month and I went straight from low to static, so I've never had a flashing smiley before until this month. X

Sunflower2019 · 02/09/2019 14:29

Hey everyone,

So been a little M.I.A finished AF and not near ovulation day as yet so didn’t feel the need, currently on cycle day 8.. so from about cycle day 13 I can dtd as it’s in my fertile window, last month got a positive opk on cd15... so maybe I’ll be fertile sooner this month, who knows!!
AF due 25th.... I’m gonna be super upset if it’s another month with nothing.. my dp is getting a sperm test done as he has twisted veins in his **lls but I’m sure we are both fine for fertility so a waiting game ❤️

How’s everyone? Xx

mrssunshinexxx · 02/09/2019 13:43

@Tamalama I think by Friday you will have this month done and dusted I really do.
In previous months how many flashing days do you get before a static ?

@Sophieb15 god I couldn't say that to him he would just say no 😂 I am gunna get inventive tonight tho!! Grin

OP posts:
Tamalama · 02/09/2019 13:32

@mrssunshinexxx Yeah I agree the more expensive ones are better but I ran out of clearblue sticks yesterday and couldn't really afford to buy anymore this month. I'm just going to test every morning and evening with cheapies until Thursday. Good luck for this month 😊 I think it's a good thing you've not told your other half about the static smiley.

@Sophieb15 Yep just going to dtd tonight, Tuesday and Thursday and just hope I ovulate at some point in between! I've had cramping off and on today but no cm whatsoever, even though I got flashing smiley yesterday.

I guess it's out of my hands this week with DH going away for 9 days as of Friday...

Sophieb15 · 02/09/2019 12:46

I've just told my OH we have to do every day if possible from CD 12 on wards Smile xx
