Thought the old one was getting a bit full so I'd start a new one. I'll attempt tagging as many as I can

Hey ladies, we are very active today. I like it!
Welcome @timswifey you've come to the right place!

@Anny27 sorry to here your temps are still high and you may need surgery. Thinking of you.

I am going to try SMEP this month we usually do not far off anyway but I really want to be pregnant before Xmas. Like @Lozzlepop though I ovulate cd 17-19 so SMEP is a long old slog.

I'm also going to try not to test unless AF is late. I wasted two FRERs last cycle. So I'm sick of seeing a lonesome line and literally pissing money away.

I have my first acupuncture session tomorrow night so I'm excited about that and feeling that I'm hopefully improving my chances. I've got to do something - now cycle 11.

Lozzlepop · 05/11/2019 11:15

Morning ladies,

@Anny27 Not feeling as bad today thankfully! Yes we have been told we are not allowed to try at present (which is harder than it sounds lol) as there are certain tests they cant do if you are pregnant. How are you feeling this week? Are you resting up? I took the medication the first time - is that an option for you? So sorry you are experiencing this, sending lots of love your way.

@Kiza yes I called a couple of weeks ago now, I was originally told 6-8 weeks for the letter but we are now at week 9 so if it doesn't come this week I am going to call them as I am off the last week in November and will need to tell work if I need time additional off (hospital is a 70 mile round trip from work) Have you had your appointment yet?

@whatsthecraic91ah the same as me although I didn't feel so bad on Sunday but yesterday was rubbish, good excuse to eat chocolate though! Thanks lovely, I hope so too 🤞🏻

@timswifey hello and welcome, you are in safe hands here the ladies on this thread are lovely and supportive and remember there is no such thing as TMI lol!

Welcome @SunnyFlover sorry for the super late hello ☺️ I have had cramping whilst pregnant before, you do end up just second guessing your symptoms though so I try not to test until AF is officially late.

@MIW01 I keep not receiving notifications which is super frustrating. I definitely found SMEP tiring, i Think if you OV quite early on then its fine but I am usually day 18-19 so its a fair old slog lol!

Hows everyone else doing today?

@ValidUser how are you?

timswifey · 05/11/2019 10:53

Thank you for the welcome @MIW01 and @Anny27 Smile

It's so weird that I've not felt broody or anything before and then it's literally like a switch being flipped and I want a baby. Now. Lol.

Ladies who have been on this journey for a while, I take my hat off to you. You are so strong.

Anny27 · 05/11/2019 09:41

@whatsthecraic91 i dont know if you need a specific type of thermometer but i do know it needs to be double digits e.g. measures to 36.36 and not 36.4 as thats more accurate! I have the femometer one which syncs to my femometer app via bluetooth so really quick and easy :)

@MIW01 i think its the pressure of "having" to dtd at certain times that gets me. But SMEP worked for us last time so we'll give it a go again :)

@timswifey welcome :) an exciting time to start ttc! Good luck with your journey:)

@kiza yes deffo give temping another go next month:)

I took my temp this morning for first time since bfp in September and my temps are still high so doesnt seem like natural miscarroage will happen anytime soon and i'll probably need the surgery :/

MIW01 · 05/11/2019 09:09

Oh my goodness MN is driving me nuts! Isn't showing me the latest posts and losing posts I write! Angry

Welcome @timswifey a lovely bunch of ladies here and a mixed bag really! I'm 34, cycle 5 TTC, no BFP s yet. DP is 33. We both been diagnosed with minor fertility issues. I've got low progesterone and he has sluggish swimmers.

Fingers crossed you get a BFP soon!

Sorry to hear some of you find SMEP so exhausting. Makes me feel very grateful it's quite natural for us. I've started tempting again but I don't think it will help as I don't sleep through the night or wake up at the same time. May give OPKs a go.

MIW01 · 05/11/2019 08:56

Welcome @SunnyFlover all be it belated! I've never been pregnant myself but have developed a real habit for symptom spotting which has just led to a greater awareness of AF symptoms which I spent all the rest of my life trying to ignore!

I can feel a dull ache around the time I ovulate onone and sometimes both sides. I feel every twinge in my boobs and this month I swear my nipples look different but then I've thought that before. I now notice every slight dull ache, smell, rash you name it, and wonder of it means this month is THE month! I think it's just one of those things.

timswifey · 05/11/2019 08:54

Hi ladies, can I hop on?

I'm 30, husband is 35 and we've decided that now is the right time to start TTC baby #1 - so exciting!

I've come off the pill and currently on day 2 of my withdrawal bleed, we'll be DTD this month but not properly 'trying' til after I get my first natural AF.

How are you all doing today?

whatsthecraic91 · 05/11/2019 08:12

@Anny27 I’ll maybe try temping next if it doesn’t happen this cycle. Does it have to be a certain type of thermometer?

@Lozzlepop I’m great thank you! Just waiting on AF passing so we can get back to it! I’m sorry you’re suffering I came on on Sunday and I was so glad I could lie at home I was very sore 😓 hopefully your letter comes this week! FX

Kiza · 05/11/2019 07:11

Thanks ladies, that was my thought process @Anny27, thinking 'well SMEP says we need to DTD 3 days in a row but if I've already O then I can have a break! 😄
I'm curious by the temping so think I will try it again next month and remember the 3 hour rule of night time peeing!
@Lozzlepop sorry AF is being so rude to you this month! I'm I right in thinking you phoned them and they said they deffo got your referral you're just waiting on the appointment letter? We got our letter about 6-8 weeks after the referral I think?

Anny27 · 04/11/2019 23:15

@lozzlepop ahh sucks that AF is not good this month!

Do you have to wait to ttc untill you get your referal letter? Fingers crossed its not too much longer 🤞🤞

Anny27 · 04/11/2019 22:45

@orangeloo totally! Because sometimes your LH can gear uo to ovulate and not actually do so i wouldnt want to miss it (obviously i do not take a casual approach to ttc 😂😂)

orangeloo · 04/11/2019 22:41

Yes I temp for same reason as @Anny27 it just confirms if my OPK's were right and when I can relax. I think if I didn't I would wonder if OPK was wrong or right and also personally I like to know as much cycle info as poss. It's not for everyone and if youre happy with not doing it then Dont bother cos it's just yet another ttc 'job' haha.

Anny27 · 04/11/2019 22:18

@lottiepink 🙈 temping helps me know when to stop frantically dtd when it confirms ovulation haha 😂😂

I dont think it really helps much else tbh as it only tells me when i have ovulated not that i am about to haha

Lottiepink · 04/11/2019 22:13

@Kiza that's a good indication though! I'm sure you will have caught it at right time with smep still, enjoy your early night 😃

@Anny27 yeh I do temp, for whatever good it does 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 not worked yet!

Lozzlepop · 04/11/2019 20:46

Hello @whatsthecraic91 nice to see you back, how’s things?

@Kiza sorry I’ve never attempted temping, can’t get my head around it tbh and OPKs have always worked fine for me.

How’s everyone’s Monday’s? I’m CD 2 and AF is being a right b-itch doesn’t help that it’s horrible weather here too! What’s everyone’s chat? Also STILL no letter 🙈🙈 getting very frustrated now!

Anny27 · 04/11/2019 20:42

@lottiepink do you temp?

Anny27 · 04/11/2019 20:39

@kiza before ovulation matters most for dtd so deffo get that early night haha!

@Whatnext11 i temped (and will when we ttc again) and it says you should have a minimum of 3 hours of uninterupted to take a good reading. I did it at around 6.30 every morning give or take 20 mins and i seemed to get pretty accurate and steady readings.

If there was a night where i was particularly restless i just wouldnt take my temp :)

whatsthecraic91 · 04/11/2019 20:18

@Kiza I really wanted to try temping but I am a serial night time pee-er so I don’t think it would work for me as you have to sleep all night for it to be accurate don’t you?

We are trying SMEP this time it sounds like such hard work! An early night is always needed on a
Monday!

Kiza · 04/11/2019 19:54

Decision made- I'm too tired and going to bed for an early night! 😄

Kiza · 04/11/2019 19:38

@Lottiepink internet cheapies. For the last year I often seem to get high readings and ewcm 2-5 days before a peak reading.
I'm just torn between the thoughts of 'if I've already ovulated on Saturday then DTD tonight won't make a difference' to 'what if I've only just ovulated and the egg still has the 24 hour window of sticking around' 😩

Lottiepink · 04/11/2019 19:21

@Kiza I would say it will take at least a full cycle to get a good idea of your ovulation through temping. I use natural cycles but just start FF and my ov has changed a few times as it gets used to my data. Have a night off if your feeling tired. It's just forced otherwise and I think it just puts a downer on the whole situation... but that's just my opinion 😊
It does seem like you've got a lot of high ones though, is that the proper ones or just the internet cheapies?

Kiza · 04/11/2019 19:09

@Anny27 maybe I just ignore the temping as I remember sat and Sunday I woke up a few hours before wake up time to use the loo.
Just debating if we should DTD tonight, both exhausted and really wanted to complete SMEP but as ever we've run out of steam 🤦🏼‍♀️ hopefully our efforts have been enough 🤞🏼

Anny27 · 04/11/2019 18:51

Mmm not sure @kiza i temped for 2 and a half cycles and my ovulation days lined up with the peak reading.

Or perhaps your temp rose a little the date of ovulation and its classed that as your temp rise

Kiza · 04/11/2019 18:41

I attempted temping for the first month this cycle. Any tempers out there make sense on ovulation happening day before peak opk reading?
I'm a bit confused

Is there anything else I haven’t mentioned that we should be doing/trying? Has anyone tried preseed? Sounds like a bit of a mood killer 🤣
