Thought the old one was getting a bit full so I'd start a new one. I'll attempt tagging as many as I can

@Kiza retested tonight and there is a slight line there 😊 must have been too diluted urine! So DTD for the next 3 days 🤞🏻🙋🏼‍♀️

@Motherofkittens28 I did the same this month and was so disheartened when I kept getting BFN however I took one a day before AF was due & it was positive so don't give up hope! Try again in a few days x

Blossomingflower94 · 26/08/2019 17:01

@motherofkittens28 watching loads of YouTube line progression recently and plenty have negatives early on. Don't think too much into it and wait a few more days!

Motherofkittens28 · 26/08/2019 16:46

Hey all, I'm feeling a bit sad today as I stupidly took a test yesterday and it was negative. It was way too early to test and my OH keeps saying that it doesn't mean anything because it was so early but I now feel really down. In addition I've had a headache that just won't shift for the last three days. On the positive we booked our wedding venue on Saturday so that's a lovely feeling (we are getting married in 2021 and hope to have had our baby long before that. I'm 37 and it's just not practical to get married first).

Lozzlepop · 26/08/2019 16:38

Hi ladies 😊

How are we all doing? I am having a slow day at work so glad that we are into the final hour now!

@MrsH497 thats annoying, sometimes our bodies just do weird things, have you been under any stresses which may have caused a change to your cycle? Thats a super early start, how is your day going?

@Lottiepink Thank you so much! How are you?

@Larrydavid Thank you hun and well done on SMEP- Tent Style!

@Anny27 I think thats a sensible approach I stopped testing early as it was just unnecessarily stressful!

@flossy12 It looks pretty much almost there, so I would DTD to cover all the bases I also used to test a day or so after to check the OPKS were getting lighter! Do you usually get ovulation cramping? All sounding v positive!

@XjustagirlX sorry to hear that, any sign of AF yet?

Hello and welcome @MermaidKiss Its great that you know your cycle but there is such a small chance of falling pregnant each month that you need to not be too harsh on yourself as it does take the average couple 12 months before falling pregnant. As the other ladies have said try to relax it will happen when the time is right. We are cycle - not really sure but we are now 8 months in and have suffered a MMC and a MC and are now lucky enough to be pregnant with what will hopefully be our sticky bean, unfortunately losses are part of the TTC journey! Have you considered following SMEP?

Hope everyone is having a fab day, I am so tired I cannot wait to get home and chill!

Blossomingflower94 · 26/08/2019 16:25

I've got cramping!! (Never thought I'd be excited about that!) Started barely this morning and then has worsened throughout today. Currently 5DPO, fingers crossed it's a sign of good things!

Kiza · 26/08/2019 13:16

@flossy12 possible as peak readings on opk usually indicates that ovulation will happen in the next 36 ish hours. Odd that it's stark white though as you'd expect it to be a faint line at least? If I had a choice I'd go with my body symptoms over anything else

flossy12 · 26/08/2019 11:49

So OPK this morning was a clear stark negative, however had cramping and some slight EWCM just now when I went to the loo (tmi🤦🏼‍♀️) so does that mean ovulation day??

Kiza · 26/08/2019 11:20

@MrsH497 I've always wanted to go but get put off by the crime stats, although it looks so much fun!

MrsH497 · 26/08/2019 11:00

@Kiza it's busy I'm not out on the ground this year I'm in the control room so much nicer just very early starts!

@MermaidKiss I think it's important to remember that even of you are both perfectly healthy, time everything right and everything is completely fine with you, you only have a 20% chance to conceive every month. So try to not worry too much (easier said than done I know!).

Kiza · 26/08/2019 10:15

@MrsH497 it's so hard isn't it? People mean well with their comments but obviously don't understand all the struggles and emotions that we are dealing with behind closed doors, and then I've found that I don't know many people who have been in a similar position therefore I've suppressed a lot as when I've tried to talk to friends or family they don't really know what to say so they go quiet on me 😞

If it wasn't for this thread and knowing there are a ton of other women going through similar I think I'd feel even more lonely and that there's something 'wrong with me'.
I know I go quiet on this thread at times as I'm worried that if I become active on here again it'll start to take over my life again so trying to find a health balance.

On a different note how's carnival going?

MrsH497 · 26/08/2019 09:44

@Kiza I agree I'm trying to almost forget we are TTC and just have fun last month I got so disheartened and sad. I still have moments I desperately miss being pregnant etc and dealing with people going "oh I thought you'd be pregnant by now" but what's important is me and hubby and having fun!
@MermaidKiss have fun with TTC and open up to people and talk about it

Kiza · 26/08/2019 09:32

@flossy12 good going on that SMEP! 😄

Kiza · 26/08/2019 09:32

@MermaidKiss I'd echo what @MrsH497 says, it's important to try and relax into it and yes make it part of your life with doing all the right things but don't let it totally become your life. I made that mistake and naively thought it would happen immediately for us but here we are 12 months in, 2 miscarriages and now undergoing testing for the GP and going through therapy to deal with all the emotions I surpressed over the last year.
I'm now making a concerted effort to make other parts of my life happy and joyful, as much as possible try to enjoy TTC when you can and ensure other parts of your lives are fulfilled also to prevent TTC taking over so much. Good luck and welcome to the thread ☺️

MrsH497 · 26/08/2019 07:54

@MermaidKiss as hard as it is you have to relax you'll drive yourself nuts otherwise. Most of us here have been trying a while have gone through losses it's almost just part of the TTC process.

We are on cycle 9/10 now if we get to 12 months and still nothing I'll get us both to the gp.

Don't not talk about TTC with friends and family they can be a source of support I have found it can otherwise be an isolating process

Hi all..! I'm new to this app/thread and just wanted to say 'hello' and hoping everyone is well :-)

I have just got my period after the second month of TTC for first baby...feeling quite down today and was hoping for some words of wisdom...

I'm 33 and my husband is 49 and we are looking to start a family...I thought it would be easy as my periods are so regular but 2 months in after doing everything 'right' and here I am with my period again :-(

I know it's SUCH a short time of trying and people have been trying for so much longer so please know I mean no upset to anyone, but I just want to talk to someone about it.

I am not telling friends and family we are trying as it's too much pressure so feeling a bit alone really. I have used OPK's, an ovulation tracker app (with temp measuring) and know my cycle well so not sure what else I can do xx

Anyone have a similar story or about to go into their 3rd cycle of trying too? xxx

XjustagirlX · 25/08/2019 23:57

@Lozzlepop I did a FRER yesterday morning and it was a BFN.

flossy12 · 25/08/2019 22:24

@Kiza we have been doing SMEP this cycle so every other day and then since Friday we've done it every day so 🤞🏻🤞🏻 my fertile window is around 6 days

flossy12 · 25/08/2019 22:23

@Anny27 yeah I'm taking it as positive ☺️☺️👏🏼 going to DTD for the next few days to cover us anyway 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Kiza · 25/08/2019 21:08

@flossy12 it looks like a peak reading for sure, I'd just be dtd for the whole 10 day fertile window to be on the safe side 🤷🏼‍♀️

MrsH497 · 25/08/2019 21:06

Oh ladies I'm exhausted already and still got 5 more days of work 😩 up at 4:30am to work carnival

Anny27 · 25/08/2019 21:00

@gemster19 ooog fingers crossed for you!

If your AF was an implantation bleed it would take 2 or 3 days for a positive so perhaps retest tomorrow or tuesday!

Anny27 · 25/08/2019 20:59

@flossy12 looks positive to me! Sometimes my app would say a test was not quite positive but then i would retake a photo and it would say positive. So might be same for you?

@larrydavid good on you for continuing with SMEP haha!

@lozzlepop @lottiepink will wait till AF to retest again as the line didnt get any darker so could be a blip/CP - deffo not early testing again. It isnt worth the stress!

flossy12 · 25/08/2019 19:54

@Kiza 😂😂 I'm the same just going to keep testing and see if they start to get lighter 😅
