Anyone just starting the TWW?

I got my positive OPK yesterday so think ovulation is today CD 14 so bang on schedule.

I'm 29 and TTC first baby. On cycle 3 now and already stressed something might be wrong 😭

Any one else just starting their TWW?

Hi @TwinkleStars15, welcome to the madness!

I use the clear blue OPKs. My understanding is that once you get peak on the test you then ovulate anywhere from 24-48 hours later and then the egg is viable for 24 hours. So if you got the positive OPK on Friday you could have ovulated as late as Sunday if that makes sense?

In other news. I'm now 5DPO and have woken up with the mildest crampy feeling. It's like a shadow of a period pain is the only way I can describe it. Nowhere near as noticeable as a period pain as mine are usually pretty bad. This is more the same crampy sensation but no more than uncomfortable, definitely not painful. And now I don't know if this is something I have every month and it's so mild I just don't notice but now I'm hyper aware or if it's the start of something.

I wish we could just speed up this 2 weeks the waiting is killer!

@TwinkleStars15 I don't use OPKs, I normally go by my CM which is ALWAYS egg white before ovulating, I tend to get pain when I ovulate which I did this month I can't remember if it was the day after or the day we dtd though, I need to check my calendar because I know I wrote it down 🙈
I think I'm 6DPO tomorrow. When does implantation normally happen? I want to say 6-12 DPO but don't want to google it because I'll fall down a rabbit hole of symptoms 🙄

I think I’m in the tww as well so can I join you?! Although I’m really confused... I used the Clearblue Ovulation Tests, the ones that have the high and peak fertility. I got high on Wednesday and Thursday and then peak on Friday so dtd that night. Didn’t manage to since but now, 3 days later, I’m getting a lot of egg white Blush So now I’m doubting the test! Did I ovulate on Fri/Sat as predicted, or today? Argh it’s so confusing...

@LA89 I know. And I'm trying not to be a downer. But I really can't get rid of the nagging feeling. I was so sure this month too 😭

I had savage sickness a week before both pregnancies. And no af symptoms. So yeah....I guess it was a big sign! Xxx

@Alice8688 you're definitely not out yet as you say. So horrible trying to interpret every little symptom though 😔.

You said this is your 3rd right? Was that the first thing you noticed with your first 2? That you didn't get the usual twinges a week before?

I think I'm out 😔 I get really painful one sided pains almost exactly a week prior to af and I've had them this afternoon. 😣 I know you're not out til she shows but this is the norm for me xx

I can definitely see something there too @Alice8688 but can't tell if there's colour etc...
I'm ordering some frer tomorrow from amazon in preparation, I know I'm gonna want to test but after the debacle with my late period a few months ago and spending nearly £50 on tests I think I'm going to wait until I'm a few days late if I can 😬
I'm not holding out much hope though 🤣

I hear ya @LA89 !! My DH is a darl but honestly no, he doesn't get it. He seems so disappointed each month too (and I understand it. I truly do. But yeah: it's hard!) xxx

It's so good to be able to talk to someone about this. Like I know I'm being crazy, so I can't tell my mates and to an extent don't want to say too much to my OH incase he thinks Jesus she's mental I better run 😂. But I don't think anyone other than a woman in the same position understands how much it plays on your mind. My OH is so excited and just wants it to happen but it's not him thinking every slight feeling in his body could be a sign if you know what I mean?

@LA89 I am fair confident. Positive OPK last Saturday (or Sunday....I can't remember now 🙄) I think I'm just mad tbh. I am going to do my darnedest not to use any frer til Friday. I know full well I'm kidding myself. But I'm gunna do my best!

I mean you're not seeing things as I can definitely see a line. If it was one of the FRER ones I'd be saying 100% something is going on but with the internet cheapies I never trust them as.i know the dye can run etc. So you're not losing your mind, that's faint but clearly there.

How confident are you with your ovulation date? Did you get it from a positive opk? X

I know. I couldn't believe it!

😂 I ordered 4 x FRER on Amazon. They arrived the other day. And they keep looking at me. Damn them!

I hope holiday packing is going well. I hate that task with a passion! So I don't envy you!

(Ps: In the pic I'm obviously convinced there's something....but I won't be upset when y'all like "calm yourself Ali")

So glad you posted as if that was me I'd have been convinced. I said I'm not testing early this month and will wait till I'm back from my holiday if AF doesn't show while I'm away...so obviously while I was doing the toiletries shopping for going away a 2 pack of FRER fell into the basket 😂. Really I need DP to stop me but he's worse than me so we've no hope.

When you planning to test next? I think 10 DPO is what I'm going to aim to hold out for as I know people do get positive results then. Like you I've been ridiculous testing 5 days after ovulation then every couple of days so waiting till 10 will be an achievement 😂

Just an FYI. If you're testing with babymad ic (from Amazon) they have the most convincing Evaps. I've been out all day and the test ( I did this morning. Yes I'm 7dpo. And yes I'm clearly insane....let's shuffle past....) and there is a very pink evap. I'll post a pic if it'll let me.

I'd hate for these to cause any heartbreak to you girlies. 💕 xxx (if the pic loads, the other test is just to show what it looks like before being used)

I'm so tired and keep thinking the same thing! Then I give myself a shake and realise in tired because I stayed up binge watching Netflix till 1am then got up at 7:30.

Very annoyingly I think I've got a water infection starting which is not the dream!

I think I'm about 6dpo. I'm not sure. It's hard to pin point! It's probably to early for me to symptom spot too...won't stop me being insane sadly 😂
I am hoping the next week doesn't drag its feet 🙄 xx

I've got a load of tests left over from when I was a week late a few months ago (wasn't ttc) and it's gonna take all the willpower in the world to not use them early. They're clear blue though so not as sensitive I don't think. Tempted to order a frer in advance!

Too early to symptom spot for me as well, I think I'm 3 DPO.

Hey! All good here..very happy it's the weekend!

Fingers crossed that's the start of something for you! I'm only 2DPO so too early for any symptoms here I think!

I'm going to buy a FRER to take on holiday but might only take 1 to force myself not to test early. I've driven myself mad the last couple of months squinting at tests and spent a fortune so I'm really going to try and curb that this month!

Oh and to answer your question @LA89, AF due roughly around 15th. Usually have a 30-31 day cycle but has been know to be very irregular.

@LA89 thank you! Haven't used anything to track ovulation but noticed the EWCM, sore boobs and spotting on CD14 so I'm fairly sure I ovulated on or around that day (1st Aug). I say I will hold out...I probably won't either! I'm just scared to get a positive that then turns negative, I think I'd be upset at an early miscarriage and also feel like I'm jinxing it a bit...will see how I feel on holiday, might pack a preg test in case!

Those symptoms sound promising! Would be great to catch month 1!

Have you been using OPKs? When is AF due?

Ill be impressed if you can hold out to test. I've said both of the last 2 months I'm not going to test early and have caved both months. I'm going on holiday on the 17th and AF is due the 22nd so going to try and hold off till I come back from holiday but almost certainly won't 😂
