I got my positive OPK yesterday so think ovulation is today CD 14 so bang on schedule.

I'm 29 and TTC first baby. On cycle 3 now and already stressed something might be wrong 😭

Any one else just starting their TWW?

@Bumpingalong84 this is my first cycle and I keep seeing people test early, and get BFNs and it's making me hold out. So I'm going to wait. It's due around next Sunday. So I think Saturday should be okay? I know I could test this week, but I really don't want to be disappointed 😬 I'm nuts I know 🙈

Bumpingalong84 · 15/09/2019 12:46

@Gigi318 you are being so strong willed not to test till next week! When are you due AF?

Gigi318 · 15/09/2019 09:20

Morning everyone!

@Bumpingalong84 that's excellent that you managed to hide it. Woohoo, and now you can relax. Hope you have a nice chilled day ahead! That's good, enjoy it while you can as you may wake up with extreme nausea soon eek! Hopefully not 🤞🏻

@Alice8688 sorry to hear that lovely, nothing worse than knowing you feel crappy because of hormones and not being able to do anything about it. I say just go with it. Hopefully you have no plans and you can just have a relaxing day, pleasing yourself. I always find that helps when I'm feeling off/emotional/hormonal. Allows me to just chill a bit!

I'm feeling much better compared to yesterday. Still a bit nauseous but not much. Going to go for a run now and then a nice chilled day. Roll on next Sat to test 🙌🏻

Alice8688 · 15/09/2019 09:06

Hey ladies!

Hope you're all feeling good? I'm feeling v emotional and unreasonable today 😔 I can't shake it. I'm just so annoyed at everything. Xxxx

Bumpingalong84 · 15/09/2019 09:03

Hey @EmmaOvary I’ll be 5wks tomorrow so super early days still!

Felt hungover this morning even tho I didn’t drink yesterday, think it’s just tiredness tho. Haven’t started with proper nausea tho. That started at 6 wks with DD and 5 wks last time. I managed to keep everyone off the scent I hope.

How you ladies feeling today?

EmmaOvary · 14/09/2019 09:35

@Alice8688 thank you love. I am sure it will be fine, like you say! DH is super excited and I am starting to get excited rather than shellshocked.
@Bumpingalong84 ooh, a wedding! I'm going to one of those next weekend and it will definitely be noticed I'm not drinking. Good that you have an accomplice in SIL though. Yes, 'disguised' drinks are good - but then you're screwed if someone gets you a real G&T 😂 Have fun today!

How many weeks are you both now? Reading your accounts of sickness with interest,I'm sure that's coming my way.

Bumpingalong84 · 14/09/2019 07:52

Ohh bless you that sounds similar to what I had when I was at the worse of it with my DD but that only last two weeks, the rest of the time I could eat but only carbs. You poor thing it’s started so early.

I’m hoping this ickyness (the only way I can describe it😂) will pass after some toast. But if full blown nausea kicks in well I’ll be happy for the symptoms even if I’m a bit 🤢

Did many people guess with your previous pregnancies?

I was just telling DH like you say it’ll be the first few hours then no one will notice. A fair few of his family members knew about our mmc because I ended up in hospital for two days so I’m sure there are a few wondering if we are trying again!

Alice8688 · 14/09/2019 07:39

@Bumpingalong84 Ah a wedding! The first couple hours will be the most difficult. Once everyone is wasted they won't notice you not drinking 🥰 have fun darl!

Yeah. The nausea. I'm hungry to the point I feel I'm going to starve. I make food then that I can't eat. I'll try a mouthful and have to spit it out. Then feel more sick....and then repeat. Round the bloody clock 😭

Sorry you're feeling a bit delicate too! It will all be worth it huh?! Xxx

Gigi318 · 14/09/2019 07:39

@Bumpingalong84 good luck with the wedding today - lemonade disguised as a gin & tonic? 🙈👌🏻 I'm around 11dpo, Flo has me at 8dpo though. Have a lot of next weekend so trying to hold out until the Monday so that I'm not completely thrown off either way. Hope I can make it 🤞🏻

Bumpingalong84 · 14/09/2019 07:34

Morning @Alice8688 ohh bless you. I told my boss on Thursday and told her I just wanted her to know in case something happened but that I just wanted to put it to the back of my mind for now.

Is the nausea ramping up? I felt a bit icky yesterday and I’ve just Woken up feeling a bit more icky than yesterday not proper nauseous just yet but defo recognise this feeling from before 😩 tho all I want is a sticky bean so if I have to feel rough for a few weeks so be it.

Hope it’s not a long day at work today. We’ve got a big wedding today and hoping it’ll go unnoticed that I’m not drinking!!

Alice8688 · 14/09/2019 07:21

@EmmaOvary ahhhh congrats! That's fab. And life has a way of sending exactly what you need 🥰 so it will all be ok. Like pp said: teeny babies don't need much and you'll get help from maternity allowance.

How's everyone feeling today? I need to go to work and I feel dreadful 🤢 I'm thinking possibly telling my boss. As she may just think I'm slacking! Xx

Bumpingalong84 · 13/09/2019 22:31

I’m ok thank you, told my sister in law today who has been amazingly supportive through all our drama in April and May. So she was super excited for us and will help me with a drinks situation at a family wedding tomorrow 😂 have to pretend to be drinking 🤦🏻‍♀️

EmmaOvary · 13/09/2019 22:20

@Bumpingalong84 thank you! That's true, I do keep hearing that. How are you getting on?

Bumpingalong84 · 13/09/2019 22:05

Ahh huge congratulations @EmmaOvary it’s an exciting scary journey and one of those that sometimes the right time never comes up so just enjoy it and what will be will be, you’ll find ways to make things ok. Babies need so little in that first year and with so many buying options and choice with careful budgeting you’ll be fine I’m sure.

@Gigi318 good luck for the 23rd, what dpo are you?

Gigi318 · 13/09/2019 21:13

@EmmaOvary you're welcome 💫 and thank you!!!

EmmaOvary · 13/09/2019 21:04

@Gigi318 fingers crossed for you! Thanks again for the kind words.

Gigi318 · 13/09/2019 12:09

@EmmaOvary that's debatable 🤣 I'm in my TWW, testing 23rd but having lots of symptoms. So we shall see. I think self-employment is as easy or hard as you make it, I love it and always motivated. If you've been thinking about doing it too, maybe now's the chance. You'll figure out what's right for you. Just try not to let the worries overcloud your fantastic news 🥂

EmmaOvary · 13/09/2019 12:01

@Gigi318 are you expecting at the moment? I have often wondered how self employed women do it. It's reassuring to hear that it's manageable. Thank you x

Gigi318 · 13/09/2019 12:00

@EmmaOvary you're welcome, I'm self-employed so I have looked into it. It's what I would qualify for and I originally just assumed I'd not have any kind of help - but it's good to know you have that option should nothing arise 🤞🏻definitely. I quite often have wobbles as my income can be unreliable, but I'm just going to figure it all out as I go along 🙈

EmmaOvary · 13/09/2019 11:47

@Gigi318 just googled mat allowance, I hadn't heard of that so thanks. Yes, I'm sure it will be fine, it's just hard not to panic! X

Gigi318 · 13/09/2019 11:42

@EmmaOvary congratulations! How fantastic for you. I'm sorry to hear that you've been made redundant. Hoping you've got a settlement coming. Either way, you'll make it work. There's never a right time to have a baby - as I've always been told. And now that I'm 30, I agree. Life very much feels the same as 25 so why I waited I don't know. It will all fall into place for you, I'm sure of it 💖 and if you're extra worried, getting super frugal can be really fun and you'll still be entitled to Mat Allowance so don't worry about that part! Hope that helps lovely!

EmmaOvary · 13/09/2019 11:02

Sooo, this happened today. And I'm freaking out because I was basically made redundant just after I conceived, by the looks of it. I don't know what to think, we were hoping so hard to fall pregnant and now I am just worried about money - does anyone have any experience of this?

Anyone just starting the TWW?
Alice8688 · 13/09/2019 10:10

@MotherOfShihTzus that's a patient wait my darling. I do so hope you get your BFP too soon 💕 are you on your tww now? Xxx

@Bumpingalong84 I'm not sure! My cycles start between 24-26days. But my last cycle started on a Monday (according to what I put in my clue app. Although I swear blind I was bleeding and unbearable that Sunday 🤣) so to err on the side of "better to be a little behind" and go with Mondays. Despite being due on today 🙄 xx

Bumpingalong84 · 12/09/2019 19:51

Ahh I’m sorry @MotherOfShihTzus that it’s been a long time trying. Have you started fertility investigations or anything? I hope you get your bfp very soon Flowers

Thanks @Alice8688 will feel more relaxed as every week goes by I guess! When does your week start? Mines a Monday I think! Have you joined they may thread yet?

MotherOfShihTzus · 12/09/2019 12:20

Is it weird that I've just scrolled through this whole thread just to watch the bpfs develop?! So happy for you all :)

After 19 cycles I'm hoping I'll know what it feels like one day, but am starting to lose that hope. I shall live vicariously through others until then!
