We are currently TTC #3. DC are 7 and 4 going into Juniors and Reception this year. DP has always been on the fence about whether to have anymore until early this year and now he’s as enthusiastic as me that it’s the right thing for us.

Both DC took 12-18 months to conceive and we got our hopes up so many times each time only to feel rubbish when it wasn’t to be. We haven’t been trying half as long this time and yet I’m convinced this month is the month, not for no reason. I had what I think was possibly implantation spotting yesterday evening and I’m crampy but milder than with AF and I feel a bit sick and knackered today.

I know it will take a couple of days for HCG to build up enough for a BFP if this is the case (didn’t stop me POAS this morning and getting a BFN). The sensible part of me is trying to stop myself from getting my hopes up as I know it could just as easily be my body messing with me and the start of AF a few days early but I can’t stop convincing myself I’m pregnant. Arrrrggg

Hi @Secretsquirrel I started getting symptoms at about 8 or 9DPO and had very mild cramps last night, I actually thought AF was starting up but no sign. Maybe that was implantation and I should wait until Saturday or something? Also, I was the same as you first time round - the cycle we got pregnant was the first one where I hadn't had any symptoms at all until like 14DPO, I was convinced it wasn't my month again and only really did the test to confirm I wasn't pregnant. Confused

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 08/08/2019 09:33

You’re very welcome to join in @bananaraces. It does sound promising. I think it’s slightly trickier to know when you’ll get an accurate test if the second half of your cycle is shorter than 14 days as it can take up to 12 days for implantation once the egg is fertilised and then another 2-4 days for hormones to build up enough to show on a test. When did you start feeling possible symptoms? Also have you had any cramping or spotting at all? X

Hi Ladies, can I join? We're 8th cycle of TTC #2. I'm 12 DPO (period should have started yesterday) and having symptoms - nausea, stabby boobs, irritable. Also my BBT is going up and up when normally it'd be dropping by now.

However, POAS yesterday and BFN, and I've been pretty convinced I was pregnant in other cycles but then AF arrived. Urgh. I'm trying to make myself wait until tomorrow morning to do another test but it is torture! Do you think I'd get a reliable result tomorrow morning at 13dpo?

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 08/08/2019 08:51

That’s just the kind of thing I do @AlmostLondoner 😂. I also bought a pretty rose quartz good luck charm on the off chance that it’s not a load of woo.

@Bigfatwiggle like you were saying before though that could actually be a good sign, or it could be a sign of normal monthly cycle. You’re just more in tune with every tiny change when you are TTC.

With my eldest DC we tried for about 18 months and so many times in the first 12 months I convinced myself I was pregnant and it was just AF yet again. I’d kind of given up looking for signs by the time I got my BFP. That month I can honestly say I felt completely normal, nothing out of the ordinary at all until the day I was due AF, I was convinced AF was about to appear, I had creamy CM like I get a day or so before and what I thought were period pains. Usually though they start a couple of hours before AF hits full force but they lasted a full two days and still no AF so I tested not expecting anything and got the clearest BFP.

I've got really thick creamy cervical mucus.....again I'm panicky that it's just another sign that I'm not pg.

AlmostLondoner · 07/08/2019 20:46

@Secretsquirrelisfedup I gave pep talk to my uterus lining 😂😂😂 also to egg to hold on tightly to it 🤣

Dollywilde · 07/08/2019 19:50

I’m not sure it’s determination! Just so desperate not to see a BFN Sad

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 07/08/2019 19:50

Just for fun, what are the strangest sounding ways of improving your chances that you guys have heard/tried?

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 07/08/2019 19:46

Thanks for the tips @Almostlondoner, I haven’t completely given up hope on this cycle yet but if AF makes an appearance I will definitely be adding yoga to my efforts.

@bigfatwiggle I was thinking the same thing today that it’s stupid how similar the symptoms of pregnancy and pms are. Not to mention that sometimes your body will act totally convincingly different to usual sometimes only for AF to show up.

Hiya @Dollywilde I admire your determination. I really need to learn not to do early tests but my common sense and logic aren’t the winning voice in my head at the moment. Hope Saturday brings you a BFP.

@bigfatwiggle thank you ❤️ I would swear on it! Especially legs against the wall!!! It brought me ovulation in February when my cycle was too long!

Bigfatwiggle · 07/08/2019 19:22

Oh wow @AlmostLondoner that's so exciting! Thanks for the tips! I will deffo start implimenting some

Dollywilde · 07/08/2019 19:21

Congrats @almostlondoner!

Ttc 1, cycle 4 here. 13 dpo. Usually 32 day cycle (so would have been due yesterday) but last month was weirdly 35 so Flo saying due Friday based on 14 day LP I think.

Any company welcome - I’m trying so hard not to test before Saturday, been too disappointed by early testing before!

Bigfatwiggle · 07/08/2019 19:19

Was day dreaming at my desk this afternoon.....the human body is mean really giving the same symptoms out for pms as early pregnancy! It's so annoying that the two are so similar.
Every twinge I get I think oooooh may be? Then I realise I need to fart!

AlmostLondoner · 07/08/2019 19:18

@Alice8688 also thanknyou but still 10dpo so staying realistic! ❤️

AlmostLondoner · 07/08/2019 19:16

@Alice8688 I used the early ones, they have sensitivity of 10!

@secretsquirrelisfedup I sprinkle all the good luck on you and to it I am also gonna add what we did that we succeeded so soon! ❤️

  • I prepared my body and my mind few months before getting pregnant, good healthy food (I used to have all the gyno problems but after going vegan everything went away, even cervical changes!), husband also vegan, he lost 12kg and got rid of inflammation
  • found this free channel on youtube - YogaYin - fertility yoga and I tried to exercise from it to manage stress
  • temping from February to know my cycle
  • eating pregnacare me and husband for conception
  • properly times bd around ovulation
  • having legs in the air (with butt bot just legs so the whole pelvis is in the air) for few minutes after bd
  • staying in bed for at least 20 minutes after bd
  • every day I put my legs against the wall to circulate more blood to my organs (old yoga position)
  • just listen to your body and get in sync
Alice8688 · 07/08/2019 19:06

Congratulations!!! That's a fab line! A very happy and healthy 9months to you ☺️

Just out of curiosity I've never seen these boots ones before! What sensitivity are they?? Xx

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 07/08/2019 17:19

@Almostlondoner I’ll cross my fingers and my toes for you to get a nice visible line. If you get one can you spread some of that luck around please 😁

OP posts:
AlmostLondoner · 07/08/2019 16:22

@secretsquirrelisfedup I am on my way to buy different brands of tests! So much to my patience 😁

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 07/08/2019 15:28

@Almostlondoner I know how that feels 😖. You could wait it out till AF is due and hopefully a no show if impatience doesn’t win out over the fear. I couldn’t though my impatience always wins 😂

OP posts:
AlmostLondoner · 07/08/2019 15:09

@secretsquirrelisfedup i am scared to pee on another one in case it disappeares! 😳

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 07/08/2019 15:05

@Bigfatwiggle I really hope you’ve just had a case of not quite right timing so far with your DP working away and that you get some good luck soon but you’re not out this month yet. It’s bloody lonely TTC for so long without anyone knowing and trying to stick a brave face on while you’re around pregnant people and babies isn’t it.

@AlmostLondoner I see those lines just about and all your symptoms sound positive too. Lines should get darker within a couple of days. Congratulations Smile

@crazybunnylady123 Sounds like it could be implantation as it’s exactly how I felt with my first but could also be AF coming. Fingers crossed for you that it’s the first one x
