Hello ladies,
I know there are already couple of threads open for aug, but thought would be nice to share the experience with anyone who's due similar time to myself.

AF due 17th Aug
I'm 30 years old
TTC cycle 2
CD 14 (of a average 25/26 day cycles)
I got positive OPK CD 11 through to CD13
We BD CD11 & CD 13
Been taking preconception vitamins & preseed

Convinced myself last cycle was the one by taking every twinge and symptoms as a positive.
This 2ww can drive you crazyConfusedHoping not to look into symptoms too much this time.
Anyone else out there just starting their TWW?
Hope to keep each other sane during this time.

Actually AF has come. So I'm out and I'm hoping these 'lines' don't appear at all. The least I want is a pregnancy with a heavy 'period' resulting in another miscarriage. It happened to me in May. I don't want to sound stupid but this is my real phobia now. Fingers crossed those lines were my imagination

littledinosaurs · 16/08/2019 08:12

Thank you @NavyBerry. Yes, DH keeps saying "I'm going to be a dad" and grinning and I keep saying "there's a long way to go" and grinning. We are v v lucky (in this instance - not usually, it has to be said!) and I just hope it continues.

I have sore boobs and have for a while but also feel mildly crampy like my period is coming. 🤷‍♀️

Fingers crossed for you all. I hope that line appears properly Navy.

NavyBerry · 16/08/2019 08:06

I tested again today and I'm either starting seeing things or there is a hint of a line. Not enough to take a picture. Actually there was smth on all three cheap tests I did 😅10 dpo, no af and still a lot of feeling pregnant)))

NavyBerry · 16/08/2019 08:01

@SunnySunshine1990 don't give your hopes up until af is here. What is your dpo?

NavyBerry · 16/08/2019 07:59

@littledinosaurs that's is amazing!!! Congratulations! ThanksThanksThanks wow! Just two cycles and you got there! How are you feeling? Have you told your DP?

littledinosaurs · 16/08/2019 07:42

@SMiles14 so sorry to hear about the shingles. Hope you're feeling a bit better today xx

littledinosaurs · 16/08/2019 07:36

Got a BFP this morning...!!! Am in shock. Going to test again in a few days because I don't quite believe it!

AF/BFP due 17th July
SunnySunshine1990 · 16/08/2019 07:35

Mezza610 · 15/08/2019 23:07

@Greenwhale awww big congrats
Wishing you a happy & healthy 9 months!!

@SMiles14 rest up lovely, shingles is crappy!

No really symptoms as of yet... 12 dpo....but have a feeling this isn't my month but not counting myself out till AF shows up. Will test on Saturday if no signs by then.
How are all you ladies getting on? Anyone tested or planning to test tomorrow?

Greenwhale · 15/08/2019 17:10

@SMiles14 and @SunnySunshine1990 you aren't out until AF arrives! I had both spotting and cramps (and acne, grumpiness, general preAF symptoms) so you never know x

SunnySunshine1990 · 15/08/2019 16:57

Ahh @SMiles14 shingles sounds awful! Hope you make a full recovery soon Thanks
And I hope AF is not on her way to you!

Ive had a strange pulling and tingling sensation on my right hand side, thought it could possibly be implantation but not sure and thought there may have been some spotting with it so will just have to wait and see.

Not getting my hopes up, going to test tomorrow and will keep going until AF or BFP!x

SMiles14 · 15/08/2019 16:29

Hmmm I think I'm out ladies, started spotting today and just feel like af is on her way...
Never mind, will hopefully be fully recovered and well in time for my next fw.

SMiles14 · 15/08/2019 11:09

@Greenwhale thank you! Curled up on the sofa on the side that doesn't hurt! They gave me anti virals so hopefully that will work soon. Caught it fairly early so should be ok soon. I didn't even know shingles was still a thing!

Greenwhale · 15/08/2019 10:46

@SMiles14 oh noooo Shingles!!!! I hope you feel okay and are resting up at home. As it's a virus is there even much they can do?
On a positive though, you've had no cramps etc and only 2 days to go so fingers crossed that's positive!

SMiles14 · 15/08/2019 10:11

AAAAAHHHHH @Greenwhale that's amazing congrats! Wishing you a healthy happy pregnancy!

I have got shingles! Went to the drs with a painful rash and feeling sick and hot and that's what it is! Soooo painful and it's right at the top of my thigh at the back so sitting hurts! Humph! Apparently stress brings it on so trying to chill today.
So I guess all my temps are null and void! No spotting or cramping since Tuesday. We shall see....

Greenwhale · 15/08/2019 10:08

@navyberry please don't get too worried about a short luteal phase. I got myself worked up mine was too short (9-12days) but clearly seems to be possible! And you have all good signsGrin

@nova324 poor DP has had to go into a big meeting all morning. God knows what is going through his head! I feel that there is little point in me being in work - how am I supposed to be productive after this news!?!

Fx for your tests tomorrow!

NavyBerry · 15/08/2019 09:10

@Nova324 we will be waiting for good news! 🤞

Anyone else to test tomorrow?

Nova324 · 15/08/2019 09:09

OMG @greenwhale so happy for you! Congratulations and wishing you an happy uneventful PG. You might need to phone OH again and make sure he knows its real.. Incase he wakes up thinking it was a dream! haha

yeah @NavyBerry it might still be a bit early days for you to get a BFP at 9dpo so dont rule yourself out completely just yet!

I'm 11/12dpo and think I MIGHT test tomorrow

NavyBerry · 15/08/2019 09:06

@Greenwhale thank you! It all makes perfect sense I just think I might have a short luteal phase. I hope I'm wrong)) I will keep waiting.

My DD was due on my birthday! She eventually was born a couple of days later but it was really fun to expect her right on the day)))

Very happy for you and DP it just really made me smile 😊 in my first pregnancy first weeks were a bit blurred as it wasn't expected. I'm going to take advantage of every day of the next one 😅

Greenwhale · 15/08/2019 08:23

Also want to add, my symptoms really wouldn't suggest a BFP so if you ever feel normal or simply AFy, don't count yourself out! Boobs are a teeny bit tender but only if I really try and press them, been very tired but could put that down to anything. Today have had a huge amount of EWCM but haven't had any on the days before, not even a bit. Plus had some dark when I wiped 2 days ago but again that follows my normal AF pattern.

Just worked out the likely baby due date would be my 30th birthday - the actual same day Hmm

Greenwhale · 15/08/2019 08:15

Thanks for all the wishes guys! Hopefully this is a lucky thread and there's good news in store for you all! It has been so supportive to have you all to talk to. When DP wasn't answering his phone, all I wanted to do was post it here to share it with someone!

@NavyBerry I think it's more the time post-ovulation that is important, not how long your cycle is. So if you normally start your period say 14 days after you ovulate, then you might just still be a bit too early in this cycle as this phase normally stays a similar length each month if that makes sense, just your cycle may be longer? Also 9dpo on a test might not show up even if a BFP!

DP works abroad so I rang him a thousand times this morning until he awoke, answered and then I just blurted it out and cried! He is very happy too. Think we're just in huge shock. And now I'm thinking of all the more practical things like where will we put the baby stuff in our tiny place, the weddings we might not be able to attend that are already booked in, how can I not drink without it being obvious, what are we going to do about the ski holiday in Jan we promised his parents we would go on and book in a few weeks etc haha. But definitely early days and just getting too far ahead of myself as I'm very aware things don't always make it the full distance.

We stopped contraception in March but because DP's away so much for work it's been incredibly difficult to catch when we are ovulating. We've only really DTD in the fertile window of three cycles and one of them was a good few days before ov so I didn't hold out any hope. That's why I pounced on him two weekends ago as finally it had fallen perfectly! Thankfully his travel will significantly reduce come November so he will be around lots more.

Anyone else testing today?

NavyBerry · 15/08/2019 07:44

@Greenwhale are you telling your partner? How long have you been TTC? it is an amazing feeling to find out there are two of you now))) glad we have the first positive test in our thread!

NavyBerry · 15/08/2019 07:35

I tested again, 9 dpo, my af must be due today in theory (27 cd). But nothing 😕 feeling a bit silly as I have all pregnancy symptoms as my af is usually almost unnoticeable 😅 there were days when it caught me in surprise

High temperature, sore nipples (after breastfeeding my DD my breasts stoped reacting to anything 😅 nice to know they can still feel smth), cramping, upset stomach and GOOD mood! I'm usually an awful hormonal b** a couple of days before af (would never admit its due to hormones of course) 😬

SunnySunshine1990 · 15/08/2019 07:23

Ahhhh @Greenwhale that is fantastic!!!!!! Huge congratulations to you 😀 xxx

littledinosaurs · 15/08/2019 07:17

Congratulations @Greenwhale!!! So exciting!!
