Hello ladies,
I know there are already couple of threads open for aug, but thought would be nice to share the experience with anyone who's due similar time to myself.

AF due 17th Aug
I'm 30 years old
TTC cycle 2
CD 14 (of a average 25/26 day cycles)
I got positive OPK CD 11 through to CD13
We BD CD11 & CD 13
Been taking preconception vitamins & preseed

Convinced myself last cycle was the one by taking every twinge and symptoms as a positive.
This 2ww can drive you crazyConfusedHoping not to look into symptoms too much this time.
Anyone else out there just starting their TWW?
Hope to keep each other sane during this time.

Greenwhale · 16/01/2021 21:52

@Nova324 I'm good thanks, we are blessed to have our lovely 8 month old little girl but it feels like just yesterday I was peeing on ovulation strips to try and make this happen!
How are you? I hope your pregnancy went smoothly and your little one is with you now!

Greenwhale · 01/01/2021 22:36

I know this is an old post now, but just thought of you all and how much I valued this thread when going through that TWW. You will forever be in my TTC journey memories as such a supportive bunch.
Hope you are all doing well and have your bfp's now or a baby in your arms x

Greenwhale · 24/08/2019 19:05

Good luck to those starting to get into your fertile period now. Fx this is your month!

#Tdmama how long are you going to leave it before going the GP? It's so hard with irregular cycles - so easy to get hopes up but it's just out bodies playing tricksSad

littledinosaurs · 24/08/2019 11:23

Hey guys hope you're all doing ok?

@Tdmama argh that's so annoying. Are you having any symptoms? Fingers crossed for a bfp soon

Tdmama · 23/08/2019 18:48

How is everyone doing? I'm on day 45 and no sign of AF! I've had a few bfn but might do a first response test tomorrow as I'm now 11 days late

Mezza610 · 20/08/2019 15:11

Glad to hear you are finally getting some answers and the new doctor is going to help get you sorted out @SunnySunshine1990
and I'm sure it really helps @NavyBerry to be able to control something so the tests will only bring good things for you!

@Greenwhale Im not surprised you had to tell someone! its so hard trying not to say anything to everyone! I have my a doctors appt on Friday so dont know what really happens.. just assume they'll ask about how far I could be and refer me to hosp? I really cant believe you dont get to see anything until 12 weeks! I'm not sure i'll believe it at all until then & I see it!
@littledinosaurs good luck for your interview! everything will all work out!

your PCOS might just be playing up a bit this month @Tdmama hold off testing for a few days and then try again if no AF still

Tdmama · 20/08/2019 14:06

Glad to hear some good news!!

I've had another negative but still no AF! I'm on day 42 of my cycle now but still experiencing period cramps. Hopefully this month is just a one off!

littledinosaurs · 20/08/2019 09:02

So glad to hear your positive news ladies @SunnySunshine1990 @NavyBerry – it must be good to finally get some help with something that has been such a drain. Fingers crossed for speedy tests and to be back on the ttc bandwagon soon. Enjoy the rest in the meantime Smile

I may disappear for a bit – my interview is on Thursday and work is stressful right now so it's all feeling overwhelming. Will check in with you all when it's calmed down xx

SunnySunshine1990 · 19/08/2019 19:53

Glad you are feeling positiveSmile

I purchased the saliva checker last year ha! I used it once when my cycle was approaching 150 days! I did actually have the fern pattern during ovulation but still found it hard to read x

NavyBerry · 19/08/2019 19:23

@SunnySunshine1990 I'm actually quite positive! I'm determined to get all tests done ASAP and then get some professional advice. I hate it when the situation is not under control so a clear plan makes me feel a way better! I haven't heard of ovusense. Have just looked it up. Interesting! I heard there was smth that checks your saliva but haven't heard of a sensor checker. Agree! Opks are rubbish, never know what they mean!

SunnySunshine1990 · 19/08/2019 19:15

How are you feeling about it all @NavyBerry? At least the ball is rolling and you are getting some answers.
My gp mentioned sperm analysis test for my partner, he is still trying to get his head around the practically of it all ha!

On a side note I have just purchased OvuSense, which should arrive in a couple of days. Sick of using OPKs and it just shows that my surge didn't result in ovulation this month so hopefully get some accurate information from using this, anyone else tried it?x

NavyBerry · 19/08/2019 18:13

@SunnySunshine1990 oh I'm so glad to hear you have got "your" doctor now! I know what you mean! It matters a lot to finally get correct diagnosis! I think it is actually the biggest part of the job.

I think I had a chemical. Waiting for my second set of blood tests results to see whether hcg has dropped. I have just be to my fertility doctor. She has given he a huge list of tests that need to be done (including at least 3 for my DH) and we will work from there. So I think I'm out for the next couple of months. Smile all for the better!

SunnySunshine1990 · 19/08/2019 17:41

Ahh how exciting @Greenwhale!! Did your friends know that you had been trying or was it a surprise?xx

Greenwhale · 19/08/2019 17:22

@SunnySunshine1990 that is unbelievable! How neglectful of your previous GP. I'm sorry to hear all this. But at least your new GP sounds proactive and on the ball. 2 weeks to be seen is also brilliant!

@NavyBerry I hope you can get back on the TTC bandwagon in the next few days. Is there any plan for follow up bloods or is it now just a case of waiting for a neg pregnancy test?

Hope you get your BFP soon Tdmama! When are you testing?

I've managed to blab to two friends nowHmm but just felt that I needed some real life face to face support and OH being away couldn't do that and was happy for me to share with some close friends. Fx this bean sticks. Got through my midwife and 12 week scan appt today which is very scary! We go for a 6 week private scan in 2 weeks time to hopefully put my stressy mind at rest for a bit until then anyway.

SunnySunshine1990 · 19/08/2019 16:42

Hope you ladies are doing okay?

Just a quick update, I went to the doctors to discuss irregular cycle and struggling to conceive, also still haven't had my period.
I am in a brand new surgery and explained that my bloods last year came back normal so what does she advise? She looked at my notes and told me that I have PCOS and that my bloods were not normal!!!!! I couldn't believe it, I was so mad!!

This doctor was amazing though and has referred me to a fertility clinic, my appointment is in 2 weeks time which I didn't expect to happen so soon. She also thinks this cycle has been anovulatory, my LH surge lasted a good few days and I didn't get the usual ovulation pain either so kinda makes sense.

I knew something wasn't right and I am feeling positive that we can finally get some help now xx

NavyBerry · 18/08/2019 15:19

Thank you so much, everyone! Xxx I'm still bleeding. My tests are not any brighter so fingers crossed it's just a chemical and I will be back on track soon. On the positive side, now I know how my body feels when I'm pregnant so next time I'll be more aware of what's going on. I will go and see a doctor before we try again.

How are you?

SunnySunshine1990 · 18/08/2019 10:11

Best of luck for today @NavyBerry let us know how you get on xx

SunnySunshine1990 · 18/08/2019 10:10

Thankyou @littledinosaurs that gives me a bit of hope! Did you end up going to the gp? This has been my cycles for the last year :s x

AF/BFP due 17th July
littledinosaurs · 18/08/2019 07:37

@SunnySunshine1990 My last cycles have been 27, 41, 40, 34, 28, 31, 32, 36, 40... you get the idea. I've been worried about being irregular/not ovulating. Clue app told me to see a GP. I came off the pill two years ago as well after taking it for 8+ years mostly consistently. So definitely worth getting it checked again for peace of mind but just wanted you to know everything might be fine if you're similar?

Oh @Greenwhale that sucks but glad he's back soonish and mostly for good after that. You've got this. Is the friend close by a good one? We haven't told anyone else yet either so it's helping so much chatting to you guys. @Nova324 to be fair to cb it could be 3 weeks (but not 3+). Didn't think that was at all likely but given how heavy/sore my boobs are feeling right now I'm starting to wonder!! How're you guys feeling?

@NavyBerry Sending you hugs and lots of good wishes for this morning. Xx WineThanks

Welcome @Tdmama! The waiting game is the absolute worst. Fingers crossed for you to find out soon. Thanks

Tdmama · 17/08/2019 21:07

@Greenwhale thank you!! I have been tracking my cycles via an App. But haven't done ovulation tests etc, just assumed the app was correct! Fingers crossed for a bfp or for AF to arrive so at least I know where I am!!

@NavyBerry sorry to hear this news. Hope you are ok

NavyBerry · 17/08/2019 20:45

Thank you, everyone, for your tremendous support! It really helps to come to terms with what's happening. My tests are back. My hcg is 19 and my progesterone is 6. If the first can be so low as it is just early, the second is far too low to support a pregnancy. I'm seeing a doctor at 9am tomorrow. Hopefully, I will get some treatment. I don't mind if it's chemical. I just don't want another miscarriage later. I'm still having cramps and period like bleeding. Told DH, he is gutted as well

Greenwhale · 17/08/2019 20:39

@littledinosaurs unfortunately he's not back for another two weeks and only for two days before he goes again for five weeks but then very minimal travelling from then on! All I want is a cuddle from him right now but regular chats are helping. We've agreed I can tell a friend who lives nearby so I have someone incase anything happens whilst he is away but I'm going to leave off telling her for a week to so. Your CB result makes me feel like they are just a bit rubbish at dating - @Nova324 I don't think they're any point a digital from our experiences! Sounds like such a lovely way to break the news to OH[smileGrin

@SunnySunshine1990 sorry about your BFN. Surely your GP should do something if it's been 2 years. Maybe see another doctor in the surgery as they might take a different stance and do some further investigations/referral?

@NavyBerry I hope you've had some good news. Been thinking of you lots.

@Tdmama welcome! I think the coil can mess up your cycles a bit. Have you tracked your ovulation as perhaps you have ovulated late this month so would expect BFP or AF a bit later? I haven't got PCOS but from other threads it sounds as though it can effect things but the fact you have DC1 and regular cycles would suggest it doesn't for you so fx for a BFP in the next few days!
