Trying for number 3

Hi. I'm new to mumsnet, I have a 5 year old boy and 3 year old girl. Currently trying for number 3, only on the first month and on the 2 week wait. I didnt really have to try with the other 2 and this is not good for an impatient person 😆 anyone else trying for number 3?

Turned out I'd already ovulated and caught... am currently somewhere between 4 and 5 weeks! Hope you all get BFPs soon Smile

@noisysparrows I've just been talking on a parenting facebook page about how my 2 are driving me mental and I'm wondering how I'm going to cope with a 3rd 😆😣

My 2 are still on 6 weeks hols as are most others and I keep wondering how I'm going cope with a 3rd 😆🙈 the fighting is driving me mental.

noisysparrows understand your age gap concerns, it is tricky isn’t it. Also all the what if’s about pregnancy and birth and that affecting the others too. It’s funny though even with all those thoughts, when I’m not pregnant each month of trying I feel so sad and down. It is much harder trying with two kids already too!

Hi all. I'm 38, TTC #3 since Jan. MMC in July, CP early Aug. Youngest will already be 5 by the time another arrives even if this cycle is the one - the elder ones are close in age and I'm not convinced by the family dynamic of such a big gap (but trying anyway). Just don't know when or if to call it quits.

Hi. Im CD 5 at the moment. My period/chemical pregnancy bleed is just tapering off. I'm supposed to ovulate in a week. I didnt get any ovulation signs last month but the only one I usually get anyway is EWCM and I didnt notice any. I think we are going to dtd every few days from the bleeding stopping incase I ovulate early x

CD9 here although it was first period since implant removed so not really sure if/when I will ovulate. I used to get obvious ovulation symptoms but nothing yet! Always used to be CD12 so now I'm ovulation symptom spotting!

Am CD9 and got first high fertility on CB, bricking it as we DTd last night but can’t now until tmw night, also can only do once a day due to the other kids which I suspect some of you sympathise with! Am I going to miss the boat??

Hi all. Hope you're all well. I'm currently having what I think is a chemical pregnancy loss. Got 2 positives then started spotting and now I'm bleeding like a period with clots etc. Not good but I'm honestly trying to treat it like a late period and start again next month.

Cracked and did a test, negative. This is so frustrating. Although with my daughter I must have been about 5 weeks along before I got a positive test. X

So I guess as long as you are sure you have had your fertile period, fingers crossed the clear blue things work! So wish it had happened last month when we were actually together all month, if we just missed the fertile window I will be so cross! But no way of knowing of course

You can stop, the egg only survives a short time I believe but sperm can survive for up to 7 days so even if you have sex the last day of your fertile window there's still a chance x

Ok thanks, does anyone know whether you can just stop after the fertile period or is it best just to keep going all month? We are meant to be apart from CD17-24 ish and now wondering whether to change plans.

@chaosonthehorizon I don't do OPKs but I use the Ovia app and it tells me my most fertile days and I just try to have more sex around those days x

Can I just check, do OPK’s from CD7 (and DTD every other day if you can) and then DTD whilst the smiley face is on and then you can stop?? Really really want to get lucky this month (on CD3 now). Thanks

Nothing for me yet, I'm due AF tomorrow, I'm very tired but other than that no other symptoms now. I'm really not sure what's going to happen. With my daughter though I'd tested before AF was due and got a negative, actually had AF then found out I was pregnant after. So I was one of these that has a period despite being pregnant. I had a clear negative on Sunday morning so I'm not sure what to expect x

This was the first month trying this time around. Although I've had a miscarriage before at around 6 weeks so not celebrating just yet!
Did a test this morning and hardly anything there, did another with second morning wee (hadn't drunk anything) and got a positive clearer than yesterday.

Anyone else had any luck?
