Hi,
I'm on cycle 5 of TTC with first child. I used clear blue advanced ovulation test for the first time last month and have purchased another one to use this month also. I'm on day 7 of this cycle and am planning on starting ovulation testing on day 12 as I ovulated on day 17 last month. I have a pretty regular 27 day cycle (no longer than 29 days).
I know it's still early days but I feel like it's never going to happen. I can't imagine actually getting a positive result. Is anyone else in a similar position and want to be on this journey with me?
Thanks x

@tryingforbabyone thanks Hun.. don't really know how I feel at the minute, going in for more blood tests today hopefully that will give me more answers. X

tryingforbabyone · 06/09/2019 18:36

@Hewie30 no I'm not going to test early I'm just going to try and forget about it and wait and see else I feel I get hung up on testing. I'm back at work now so I'm hoping that helps keep my mind off it because I drove myself crazy last month.

@littlelisa34 oh no I'm absolutely gutted for you! Can't imagine how your feeling hun! I know it's not what you want to hear but try and keep positive. Your time will come and always here for you! Sad

MummaR92 · 06/09/2019 16:06

Hey ladies how is everyone doing? I'm coming up to that dreaded TWW again 🙄 and I'm going to be on holiday during that time! Hopefully I can stop myself from going crazy 😂

littlelisa34 · 06/09/2019 08:48

Hi ladies just an update.. had some very heavy bleeding on Tuesday so rang the gp and they got me in for an early scan yesterday had an abdominal and an internal and blood tests taken and I've miscarried.. have to go back for bloods taken tomorrow morning at the hospital because my hcg was higher than they were expecting so can't rule out ectopic pregnancy as of yet.. good luck ladies I hope you all get your BFP soon 😁😁xx

Hewie30 · 06/09/2019 08:14

@tryingforbabyone Eeeek your in the 2ww. Haha yeah it's massively easier said then done, I always try and keep myself busy so I try and not think about it. You going to test early or wait until your late?

tryingforbabyone · 06/09/2019 06:09

@Hewie30 I ovulated on Wednesday so I'm 2 dpo. Feeling abit more chilled this month at the moment and going to try not to look for symptoms and get my hopes up but that'll be easier said than done!

Hewie30 · 05/09/2019 23:14

@tryingforbabyone I got my peak opks today so ovulate tomorrow! 🙂. How you getting on?

tryingforbabyone · 05/09/2019 22:34

@Hewie30 how many dpo are you? How are you feeling?

Hewie30 · 02/09/2019 14:32

This is my opk today, I think it's high not quite peak yet. What do you ladies think? The individual one is the one today and it's the bottom one on the paper 🤞 xx

@katie1109 Take all the time you need, it takes an emotional toll having a mc. It's no worries at all, we're all here to support eachother so if you need you rant, rant away.

Yeah I've heard that also. I think dtd every other day will cover you for whenever your body ovulates. I wouldn't push it any more then that xx

Katie1109 · 02/09/2019 10:23

@Hewie 30 I know, I am feeling a bit down to be fair. But I'm trying to be positive and think that at least I know we can actually get pregnant. It is difficult to stay positive at the moment to be fair, but hopefully I will get better in a matter of couple of days x Thank you for your support x If I go by my previous periods etc, the af should arrive on the 13th of Sept, but I read that I may ovulate as early as 2 weeks after mc, so I'm a bit confused :(

Hewie30 · 02/09/2019 10:09

@katie1109 Oh no! 😔. I'm so sorry to hear that, you must be devestated. I really thought this was it for you! Yeah your next period may be a bit haywire. If you don't want to do opks or temping try and stick with every other day or every third day dtd as that'll cover you for whenever you ovulate xx

Katie1109 · 02/09/2019 09:21

Hi all. Just an update from me. I definitely had a mc, my test today also came negative. Now I have no idea when will I ovulate or have my period. I really, really do not want to go down opk and temping route just yet. Any suggestions?

Hewie30 · 02/09/2019 09:08

@tryingforbabyone I'm doing okay thanks! Well... Sort of haha! I gave up with the app as it was driving me crazy so now I'm just putting them in a book and comparing myself. I got a dark line yesterday but it wasn't darker then the control line so I'm thinking it's high at the moment and I'll peak next few days.

I've just seen your other post yeah it's completely normal to vary by a day or two every cycle. It's not always the same day every month 🙂. How many dpo are you now? Xx

Hewie30 · 02/09/2019 09:06

@littlelisa34 Your still early but I'd I think you'll get symptoms soon considering your 5 weeks, it's hard to say as I'd have thought every woman is different. Try and not worry, I know it's easier said then done but make the most of feeling normal before all the sickness comes haha 🤣😁.

Ah yeah their a right pain in the butt, I deleted the app yesterday because I got frustrated and I'm now putting them in a book to compare myself. If I miss my peak this month I'll use the clearblue ones next month I think. I think I got my peak last night it's dark but not darker then the control line so hoping next few days xx

tryingforbabyone · 01/09/2019 22:13

@Hewie30 how are you getting on? Have you ovulated yet?

littlelisa34 · 31/08/2019 11:03

@Hewie30 if I'm going by my last AF I am 5 weeks and 5 days so around "3 weeks" I just thought I would of had even a bit of something by now.. yeah they are really awkward but I found if I stuck them all in a line each day I could compare them better to see the line getting darker.. it was too much faffing for me that's why I moved onto clearblue but you see women that only use them and nail there ovulation days. Xx

Hewie30 · 31/08/2019 10:08

@Littlelisa34 Oh really? Yeah it's definitely worth waiting until you'd be able to see something, try and not worry it's probably perfectly normal to have have any symptoms yet, how far along are you? My friend didnt get sickness etc until she was 6-8 weeks.
Yeah their really awkward aren't they. I'm just going by colour this month and if I'm still finding it difficult next month I'll probably use the clearblue ones xx

littlelisa34 · 31/08/2019 09:23

@tryingforbabyone I think it's normal for it to vary a couple of days here and there per cycle I went from low straight to peak in my last two cycles completely missed high days.. I wouldn't worry too much

tryingforbabyone · 31/08/2019 08:15

I don't suppose anyone knows if it's normal to ovulate on different days every cycle? The first cycle I ovulated on day 17 then the next was day 14 and now I'm on day 13 and it's still showing up as low which I would have expected to at least be high today ready for peak on day 14?

littlelisa34 · 31/08/2019 07:29

@Hewie30 yeah I have read a lot of good things about them but if I'm not as far on as i have worked out then there won't be much to see yet so I will come away more anxious so I'm going to wait until after the midwife appointment and then get one for around 9 weeks and hopefully there will be more to see and everything will be fine.. I'm thinking if something has gone wrong because I don't feel pregnant at all I would of started bleeding/Spotting by now?
Yeah I struggled with the ovulation test strips always trying to define the differences that's why I moved onto clearblue they just show up as high low or peak in a face form which was easier plus can put them into the apps x

Hewie30 · 30/08/2019 17:55

@Littlelisa34 Ahh that's so fustrating it's so far away! Must feel like it's really dragging for you 🤪. What have you been hearing about early scans? I've read alot of nice things about them and how ladies have found them reassuring. Definatly worth thinking about having if your concerned hun!
Yeah exactly hun, I'm finding putting them on the app a bit confusing and depending on light the number ranges so I'm going to do it but also use my common sense when I see that the line is as dark as the control line 🤞☺️ xxx

Hewie30 · 30/08/2019 17:52

@Katie1109 Awh hun I'm so sorry 😔, hopefully you'll get a stronger line on Monday when you retest and today's one was a blip or your urine was too hydrated. Try remain positive, I'm sorry your going through this it must be heartbreaking. If it is a MC take your time and grieve, the upside is you know you can get pregnant ♥️ xx

littlelisa34 · 30/08/2019 13:30

@tryingforbabyone @Hewie30 good I'm glad your both into your next cycle closer to that BFP..

I don't go to the midwife until 23rd of September so over three weeks away just wish I had something that gave me some signs that everything is progressing well.. was thinking about booking an early scan but I've read so many stories don't think I'm going to and I'm just going to wait until my midwife appointment and find out what my levels are..
@Hewie30 that's why opks are good to have because it gives you a definitive few days to DTD which strengthens your chances..

Katie1109 · 30/08/2019 13:28

Hi @Hewie30. Well I did clear blue but not digital and I think I can see faint line but may be wishful thinking. Phoned EPU they told me that my pain and bleed last week was likely a mc, but asked me to test on Monday morning and if positive then get GP to referr me to EPU. Well I’ve lost all my hope, don’t even know what my cycle is meant to be now and do not want to go opk and temp route just yet because I find it too stressful. So here’s to having a drink tonight and moving on. But I’m not in a happy state at the moment.
