The Hut of Gl/Doom Part V- for the unapologetically despondent

Its part of Kingston hospital - St Marys Roehampton - tis for FTC rather than recurrent m/c (as I've only had 1 which appears to have buggered up my previous easy conceiving).

I've had a couple of friends go there - both IVFers who have had great success (obviously hoping it doesn't come to that but good to know anyway !).

ALso meant to add we've had confirmation that we are definitely being referred so now just waiting for appointment - which i should hear in next 4 weeks .... the wait continues...

Hello everyone else. Nothing to report here - AF looming but as we had a break this month in view of impending skiing I shouldn't be surprised (but we did do the deed about 5 days before OV so of course part of me is still desperately hoping .. sigh....)

Hey ronny ooh new bras lucky you - have you been getting all Moll Flanders on us? Mine seem to be painful all the time these days - keep hoping is a very belated puberty but I'm still in the bee sting camp unfortunately

We have decided that the only way to cope with situ is to ignore it all and get on with life as much as poss and if the swimmers are feeling a bit kronky then we'll just have to give them more oportunity to work their magic

I am in an ashamedly better frame of mind today cos found a job i would LOVE to do near me and paying enough to stop me fretting about giving up highlights and lip glosses ...(pops dashes off to fathom a super new cv to encourage new job people to hire her and thus end up in thatched cottage in Cambridgeshire with either babies or chocolae lab puppies depending on wombs ability to get and keep one at some point in next decade)

Popsy, crap news about the swimmers. How has DH taken the news? Not too badly I hope. you will need to get some ice packs and extra baggy pants for him. Less bike riding for him too. All adds up to hot swimmers!!
Nothing to report here. All boring. At least I have managed to get my DH to buy me some new bras.

Morning ladies, great news that everyone is getting themselves into goo hands so to speak - about time the NHS started treating us well!?!

Had a depressing night last night cos DH sperm came back sluggish and deformed poor thing - I am also concerned that he did the deed at home and had to cycle it to the hozzy in his cycling horts pocket to get it there in time to catch the van going to the labs - too much time between delivery and test and also must have had a good bone shaker on the ride over...(pops is grasping at straws )

anyhoo with my 35-48 day cycles and those non swimmers I am AMAZED we mamanged it the first time round even if it did MC?

anniemac I hopei get good treatment like you - 8 days to go til see big dr at hozzy - am worried am hoping to get too much from it...

Hi annie, nobody really mentioned it to me for years, even though we were having ivf, (male problem) and then a new consultant told me this may be a problem, as I always produce enormous numbers of eggs with v little hormone during ivf. I also spoke to the consultant who delivered DS (10th attempt) who said that he did some studies on polycystic ovaries and sometimes the progesterone levels did not indicate a problem and that there may be another thing going on hormonally.

I have also done clomid and have to say that is more vile than doing IVF, in my opinion. Acupuncture & IVF did it for me in the end and at the hammersmith hospital they are now offering it immediately before and after transfers as part of regular treatment. Good luck annie and I know it sounds c*p and trite, but don't give up. Sx

Hi to everyone else. I'm in 2ww but not holding out a lot of hope, though am pleased that I got a positive opk this month - unlike last two months.

Now sitting squarely in the 2ww. So 2 weeks of reading too much into every little twinge, hopes up, hopes down, and then degenerating into Shreksmissus's description of the last few days before AF. The monthly rollercoaster. Feeling a bit blah here.

Annie it's exactly like me - slightly high fsh, but loads of progesterone. You may well have Polycystic ovaries and ovulate, but not PCOS which means you don't ovulate. I have just done my 14th cycle ivf (male factor) and had 17 eggs so don't call your ovaries old just yet! I am 38 btw
