The Hut of Gl/Doom Part V- for the unapologetically despondent

The new hut. Ta-da!

This one is a snug little basement World War 2 type nightclub, with dim lighting, snug velvet sofas, red walls and certainly no politically correct smoking bans. Occasionally certain selected men may be admitted at our convenience.

Sit down, make yourselves at home, and never, ever apologise for feeling like shit. That's about it.

Know the feeling Wheely, DS is three and he knows all about ivf (thinks that's how all babies are made!) and when we told him it hadn't worked he said, 'that's all right I didn't want one anyway" but he does really. Understand how difficult it is for you and your sister anniemac, I can testify (being one of those who kept thinking all these people having loads of children and I only want one) you sort want another one to keep them company when you are gone, morbid thought I know.

wheelybug · 11/02/2008 16:54

Great news Popsy - take care of yourself and wishing you an eventful 8 months or so.

Soosy - sorry to hear about your IVF attempt - that must be heartbreaking.

Welcome Rowingboat - I too am ttc no. 2 following m/c in July 2006.

I survived my weekend away - ours friends who I had convinced myself were going to announce no2 didn't so that was a relief. I had a bit of a moment seeing dd with other children and knowing how much she'd like a sibling....

Hello, I wondered if you had room there for another person?
We have been TTC since 2006 and nothing, apart from one chemical pg about 4 months ago. I am now getting officially sad and frustrated. We have a lovely little boy so it's not all bad, but would love another.
So do I qualify to come here and collapse in a heap?
Oh, I was looking at the older posts and laughing about the 'I just ovulated, could I be pregnant' thread.
My personal favourites are the ones which run along the lines of 'I conceived DS on day 11 and DD17 when I was on the pill - I must be really fertile [funny face] . Love 'em. How sensitive! And to make matters more irritating, they always seem to post on threads of unabashed despondency.
Also have a cold.

F*k, C*p and everything else, just got af on my 14th ivf attempt. I didn't even get the chance to pee on a stick. Am so fed up don't know what to do with myself. Sort of relieved that DH away next week as don't want to have to look after him too, an ill DS is quite enough.

OracleInaCoracle · 08/02/2008 17:21

i tell dh when the magic day is and if he doesnt feel like it then i manipulate him into it. tbh i miss having sex. its become a loaded act and i feel sad for dh sometimes, but then i think, well he gets to have sex, so its not all bad!

wheelybug · 08/02/2008 11:58

Thanks Ron - we do have a dd already so don't think they'd believe us about the weekends away with sleeping !!

My dear DP has been v good on the 'keeping his end up' this week. He doesn't want me to say when the 'right time' is, but knows it's roughly two weeks after AF. So without saying why, he's been right rampant this week. Even though he's been knackered and doing extra sexing means he's got about five hours sleep a night. Bless him.

ronshar · 08/02/2008 11:21

Wheely get drunk and tell them all how fab your life is. That will stop the smugness believe me! I hate couples without children rubbing my nose in it about their fabulous nights out, the fabulous holiday in verbier, the wonderful weekend break where all they did was drink and relax in bed.
I know it doesnt change the fact that you want a baby soooo babdly but it will stop the constant baby talk! A friend of mine does it to me all the time bitch.

Shrek. The joys of trying to BD with a small child cramping your style!!

wheelybug · 08/02/2008 09:03

Sorry you're feeling glum Shreksmissus.... Thats so frustrating re dd/dh/ etc...

More hugs and thoughts to Lissie too this morning.

We're off this weekend with 4 other couples - 2 have 'completed' their family , 1 has only just had their first but the other has a 16 month old and i am so preparing myself for an announcement of impending smug-number2-ness. AF is about to arrive at a beginning-to-wonder-lateness so no doubt its arrival will coincide nicely with their announcing, I'll drink too much red wine and then have a horrendous hangover.

LL - you can find the daily mail article if you go into the DM website, go to health, womena and family and yesterday it was on the headline page in that section IYSWIM. I can't recall how the PCOS was detected.

wheelybug · 07/02/2008 16:57

Oh God. So sorry Lissie. Thinking of you.

I know. I get very annoyed if anyone even suggests that we have a break. I think I'd be livid if anyone suggested we stop trying.

OracleInaCoracle · 07/02/2008 16:37

i seriously dont know what to do. our families keep telling us that we should give up, but i dont feel that our family is complete yet. how do you stop hoping? how can i possibley give up?

ladylush · 07/02/2008 16:34

Shit and fuck. Lissie, it's so unfair
