The Hut of Gl/Doom Part V- for the unapologetically despondent

The new hut. Ta-da!

This one is a snug little basement World War 2 type nightclub, with dim lighting, snug velvet sofas, red walls and certainly no politically correct smoking bans. Occasionally certain selected men may be admitted at our convenience.

Sit down, make yourselves at home, and never, ever apologise for feeling like shit. That's about it.

Hello 2 week waiters... Am hoping your twinges turn into the real thing.

Permission for a winge... Got my appointment through for referal - is not until mid April. Was hoping it would be mid-end March. I know its only a few weeks different but.... We could go privately but doesn't seem much point to save a few weeks and it would give us another month to try naturally. Had a bit of a silly blub about the fact it came from 'the assisted conception unit'. Am a dafty. It does at least say the first appointment is with a nurse who will then schedule a doctor appointment for 2 months after that and tests will done in that 2 months so hopefully by June all tests will have been done which I suppose isn't too bad ...

Oh and I was having such a deep think and sulk about it all I went to pick dd up and forgot to pay at teh meter for parking and got hit with a £60 fine. Grrrrr. Am a numpty.

It's called MIPIM, and mainly comprises fat men in pinstripes drinking champers and ogling the six-foot Russian models promoting unlikely development schemes in outer Siberia. Good fun, but hell on the feet...

Hey girls. I'm in the madness time, too. AF due any day, had cramps yesterday, but no show. Naturally, instead of thinking 'you always get cramps for a few days before', I'm thinking 'but these might be different cramps', before repeatedly beating myself round the head with a frying pan.

Had managed to be relatively chilled this month, too, but mainly because we'd done so much BD at the right time I was convinced this month was our month, especially as I've pretending to be so chilled, etc etc.

The silver lining I'm finding to AF's imminent arrival is that I won't be up the duff for a massive property conference I'm going to in Cannes, which practically runs on champagne. Though it's bittersweet: last year I went to the congress and was pregnant, though little did I know it had already died. Might bring back some weird memories.

Hi poppy glad to see ur feeling better, hope the HSG goes ahead. I think i will take a leaf out of ur book and do those things too, i might even get a book.

Hi rowingboat Didnt realize ur HSG was so recent, have u heard when ur follow up appointment is yet? like i said before, cant wait for mine on the 10th just to know more will put my mind at rest i think.
Hope everyone else is ok!

poppy75 · 12/02/2008 21:39

Hi rowing boat - I used to love tea and loved milky tea - so it has been difficult. I also loved going for coffee - shopping isn't the same anymore!! But I have a three month limit and then I am forgetting about it all and doing everything I want.

I will have to wait and see if I can have my HSG next week all depends on AF. What did they tell you after it??? I just want to know now and not have to go through all this! I think this ttc is trying to show me how to be patient!!

Rowingboat · 12/02/2008 21:15

Poppy - I am in awe - giving up caffeine! I wish I had that strength. Do you drink a lot of coffee/tea?
I have a strong coffee in the morning that I just would hate to do without - sniff!
day 14 of my cycle was yesterday and we just didn't really get down to much bding, which is reeeallly frustrating. I think it's all the testing and stuff this month, it has made it all a bit strained. Had a HSG last Thursday and had bleeding and dye for a couple of days - which didn't really do it for me.
Oh well, there's always next month.
Anniemac, it is great that you managed to suppress your own needs and think of your sister - so difficult to be generous to others deep down like that.

poppy75 · 11/02/2008 22:24

Perky - wow just read your news congratulations!!! Now you can relax and be a lady of leisure for the next 8 months with no work worries!!!

Hello guys haven't been around for a week but thought I'd put in the hut. Having a much more positive week (for a change)

My dad was so sweet he bought me how to et pregnant faster book last week. He is usually the last person who wants to speak about this subject and seeing how they got preggers by just taking off trousers has not really been able to understand it all. So it was really lovely of him .

I decided to take the advice of the book and trying to be extra good and although have been ttc for 2.5 years (18 months after mc) I have finally given up caffeine and milk (not sure if it will work) also have only had two glasses of wine in two weeks.

So watch this space . Oh and also decided to try and pre-book my HSG test for next friday, all I have to hope is that AF comes early so everything is over by then. that must be the first time in 3 years that I have been waiting for AF!!!

Hope everyone is ok welcome anniemac - all welcome here, let off as much steam as you want all helps get through RL!!!
