The Hut of Gl/Doom Part V- for the unapologetically despondent

The new hut. Ta-da!

This one is a snug little basement World War 2 type nightclub, with dim lighting, snug velvet sofas, red walls and certainly no politically correct smoking bans. Occasionally certain selected men may be admitted at our convenience.

Sit down, make yourselves at home, and never, ever apologise for feeling like shit. That's about it.

DS is 2.9 and my life saver!

lissiethevampireslayer · 18/10/2007 20:50

oh christ, i dont know what to say. welcome to the hut, i sincerely wish you didnt have to be here.

how old is ds?
and never feel like you shouldnt be sad or jealous. you have every right to be.

soosy · 18/10/2007 20:43

I've just found this thread and I think you are all fab. I wish i'd known you during my seven years and 10 ivf attempts to have my ds. But now feeling down as have spent 2 years 3ivf attempts trying for DC2 most of my friends have had their families years ago my godchild hits double figures this year and all those people I met when I had DS have had second children. I love my DS and know how lucky I am to have him but i want him to have a sibling. My sex life has been utterly destroyed by IVF and trying to conceive - we haven't had sex since I got pregnant with ds. Most of the time I am really upbeat but recently a really good friend and I am happy for her got pregnant with her first cycle of ivf with one embryo and I just thought why isn't it me.

lissiethevampireslayer · 18/10/2007 10:20

thank you, shall look into that now!

i really dont blamer you for wanting to ge3t straight back into it. i normally advise against it, but in this case i think you are doing the right thing x

ronshar · 17/10/2007 23:22

Oh dont worry about me I'm quite bouncy really. I am oving this weekend. Already!!!!
So I am hoping to have MC and BFP within the same month. Hows that for optomistic. So sorry but cant spell today.

Lissie I have just watched south news/meridian and they were talking about a company which helped a lady get pregnant after 2 years recurrant MC. Suppliments. She now has a boy & a girl within 12 months!! Foresight I think. Look up on meridian websight. It was on after main news on itv.
Could all be bollocks though

lissiethevampireslayer · 17/10/2007 20:42

thanks, oh i feel crap now. you are going through it and I'M winging. how are you?

ronshar · 17/10/2007 20:26

Thats ok you are allowed an off day. You are not a failure. You have a physical reason for your troubles. Nothing you can do about that.
Here's a large pink gin and an olive. Drink up love.

lissiethevampireslayer · 17/10/2007 18:42

oh thank you , sorry i had to run, had a lesson. just fed up of ttc now and feeling like such a rubbish excuse for a woman every month. i know its not rational, but this is officially 2y ttc, ive been pg 6 times and have no baby to show for it.

feeling a bit sorry for myself today.

duchesse · 17/10/2007 13:03

I think a posse of us should come to your house to give your husband a serious talking to. We'll bring the implements.

lissiethevampireslayer · 17/10/2007 11:54

ronshar, im so sorry you are here again.

lol duchesse, you are not alone. this month i valiently waited til Dday before wee-ing, but my patience didnt pay off, CD1 (again) dh is being a wnker about his tests (again) and i feel shtty for moaning when i have so much already, but its just not enough (ps, add me to your facebook friends and we can play scrabulous together)

ronshar · 17/10/2007 09:13

i have decided to only keep one test in my sock draw. Only to be used in emregencies.
That way I can save myself £50 a month on unecessary wee stick buying.

I think I am addicted to the negative hormones released after getting a BFN. Seeing as I have had loads of those for the past 6 months. And only 3 BFPs. I dont like my odds much!!

duchesse · 17/10/2007 07:57

I know you all do, Ronshar. Thank you Lissie. That's why I can come here and say that sort of thread-stopping thing. I wish you weren't here though, any of you.

Someone should seriously take me to one side and talk some sense into me about my irrational symptom-spotting and desire to purchase fresh pregnancy tests. It's getting out of hand again.

On another note, I became a Scrabulous convert and addict yesterday. I think I need help.

I have much to be thankful for. My children for one. And now Scrabulous.

I dont think anything I say will be good enough.
We all share your pain Duchesse.

lissiethevampireslayer · 16/10/2007 18:45

oh babe.

duchesse · 16/10/2007 13:29

No more babies, ever again.

Just trying to convince myself to just bloody give up.

It's not working.

no such thing as only. you could ring epu and tell them you werent sure of your dates. im so pissed off for you x

ronshar · 12/10/2007 13:37

I was only exactly 5. I had only know for 5 days so not exactly established.
It is more the death of a dream you know. I know it was just a tiny bean with no heartbeat but even so.
My DH excellent as always, patted my hand and said "I really dont understand all these womens things. We can try again".

lissiethevampireslayer · 12/10/2007 08:32

not at all. its totally understandable. my cousin is 33, her ds was 3mo when she found out she was knocked up again and she went on a drinking binge in the hope that "nature would take its course", shes just found out that the baby has a hole in its heart, and im furious with her for being so flippant and cruel. people have no idea how precious the life that grows inside you is, and i cant believe that you are going through this again. how many weeks are you?

ronshar · 11/10/2007 22:47

Hey Lissie. You are a star. I love you more each day.
I am feeling a bit over-emotional now.

I am feeling a little bit shite because on Wednesday my mum told me my cousin was 6 weeks pregnant. My first thought was not how wonderful for her. It was, what a bitch, she left school pregnant. Now has another total wanker for a boyfriend and is on baby number 4.
Does that make me a bad person who deserves to be losing another baby myself.

I am now under the table having drunk all the Pinot, finished off the pink gin and am routing around under the sofa for the bottle of Absinth that I saw a while ago.

lissiethevampireslayer · 11/10/2007 16:29

scrap that last post.

im so sorry, this isnt fair. its shit and you dont deserve this. im here for you x

lissiethevampireslayer · 11/10/2007 16:26

whats up ronshar?

ronshar · 11/10/2007 14:37

There is allways a time and a place for Pink Gin. It is a miracle cure. My Pinot certainly is not helping. Off to finish the bottle!

thetryingistrying · 11/10/2007 14:31

the classy touch of the pink gin briefly lifts spirits and changes glower to light frown.

ronshar · 11/10/2007 14:22

If anyone asks I am the person slouched in the other corner with a bottle of Rose Pinot (cant lower standards just because I am pissed off).

duchesse · 11/10/2007 14:19

hands Trying a pink gin and a Woodbine and sits down some way away
