The Hut of Gl/Doom Part V- for the unapologetically despondent

The new hut. Ta-da!

This one is a snug little basement World War 2 type nightclub, with dim lighting, snug velvet sofas, red walls and certainly no politically correct smoking bans. Occasionally certain selected men may be admitted at our convenience.

Sit down, make yourselves at home, and never, ever apologise for feeling like shit. That's about it.

Its shit Shreksmissus.

We weren't supposed to be ttc this month due to forthcoming ski holiday but we couldn't not... but I kept saying to DH 'we're not trying' as if to convince someone/thing that we aren't trying so it happens (do you think we're all going slightly mad ?). I realised I have two months more of ttc (this one included) before my appointment at the failure to conceive clinic (or whatever its called) so couldn't not try this month.

AAAAAARRRRHGGGGGHHHHHH. Let the 2ww commence (I keep telling myself that as AF will be due when we are skiing it won't matter whether ti comes or not because we'll be skiing ..... yeah right...)

Wheely the snowboarding was fab. As I couldnt sit serenely in the bar I decided I had nothing to lose by going out on my board. I did stick to the boring runs mind you!!!!

Good news on the test front Herbs. Remember Popsy was told her DH had wonky swimmers and she was already pregnant.

If I knew all we needed was an Audi I would have changed my car last year. Then all I would have to have done was convince DH to join me. Not likely.

Thank you Duchess, I have added the link to my watch list.
All ok. Waiting counting the minutes until monday morning for scan. Will be 8 weeks. We shall see. Trying to be positive but finding it hard.

This is the Hut graduates thread in case you ever felt the need for it. It's been hibernating since last July, but could easily be woken up...

i remember dh moaning about his test the day after my hsg.

he got to have a wank.

i got dye shoved up my fanjo (and they tried to push it through my removed tube)

i felt so sorry for him

herbaceous · 22/02/2008 18:09

DP has booked his 'slot' for next Wednesday. The hospital only accepts samples between 9 and 10 on a Wednesday morning, and only five slots allowed. Madness.

So, to add to the pressure of producing the goods, getting it into the tiny bottle, and whizzing it around in the warm, it has to be done at a certain time. Still, beats having your insides vacuumed out or inspected with a camera, which is my next treat, so I don't feel too sorry for him!

OracleInaCoracle · 22/02/2008 18:08

despite not ttc, im still lurking. herby, great news about the tests!

wheelybug · 22/02/2008 18:05

Hey Soosy - we haven't tried in the back of our audi yet... maybe that would work ...

There has been a rash of 'OMG its taking so long to get pg' threads and when you read them you find out they are on their 3rd month of trying... arrrggghhh. I know it probably feels like it at the time but I really had to stop myself going in and typing TRY TWO YEARS LOVE (and I know there's people here who have been longer).
Bless 'em. Grrr.

Herby, great news on tests - good luck with DH. It took my DH a lllooong time to get his done. Its so frustrating when its probably the only thing he has to do and we're going to have to go through the works...

Hi Ronshar.. hope alls well. How was snowboarding - did you board or sit serenely in the bar ?

herbaceous · 22/02/2008 17:58

Hello Ronshar! You're one of the good guys.

I've just had my day 21 progesterone level test back, and it was 71! I believe that's pretty good. My LH and FSH are similarly marv (ie, low) so, where's the farking baby, then?

duchesse · 22/02/2008 17:49

ronshar, of course you are welcome! Beansprout and few others from the Hut set up a pregnant after the Hut thread a few months back, that might be worth reviving for the few of you lucky ladies... For those who aren't quite ready to become hopeful yet. It seemed fun.

OP posts:
ronshar · 22/02/2008 14:57

I know I am not welcome here anymore but can I just moan about sanctimonious pregnant ladies who do nothing but bitch about lack of symptoms, then bitch they feel ill and then bitch like hell because some women have had MC's and are scaring them as they dont want to have one.

I want to punch them all.
Sorry I make you uncomfortable in your perfect bloody, I got pregnant having had sex once, bubble of selfishness.

Sorry I will leave now.
(If it makes you all feel better I feel crapo but I am not moaning!)

soosy · 22/02/2008 13:58

Oh and just to let you know, even when you get to an ACU and have been there for 10 years, you can always get shafted, like I did today, when having HEFA required bloods (free to NHS or, self funding(as we are) some arse booked me in privately and I have had to pay £108.28 to have me checked for Hep C and HIV which I know I haven't got. . What started out 10 years ago as a really friendly, but slightly crazy ACU has now turned out to be a cash cow to pay for F**ing Lesley Ash's £5m compensation. Sorry I am so mad. You would die if you knew how much we had spent of treatment and still they take more and more..... Arghhhhhh. Sorry about the rant but I just wish I could have a quick shag in the back of an audi and voila. I was even ask why I didn't have another by a 23 year old today and she didn't even get it when I told her I was 38 it had taken 7 years to have ds and it had probably only taken her 35 secs in bed one night.

Sorry v selfish post but thank god you are here would die without you gorgeously frank people.

Oh, and being driven to distraction by a rash of new

'Please help! I'm not pregnant after three months'
'How do I conceive a girl'
'Should I go for number five?'
etc

Type threads. How I refrain from going in and being excessively rude I just don't know.

herbaceous · 22/02/2008 12:03

Well, CD2 for me. Feel kind of resigned to it all now. Don't know what more I can do. Got EWCM, lots of shagging, regular cycles, yadda yadda... Still, at least I've persuaded DP to test his sperms. Not that I can imagine there's anything wrong with them ? he's got me pregnant three times in two years (all ended in MC) - but until he's got his bits tested, the doc won't let me have my insides investigated to see if it's down to me. Complicated and boring.
