The new hut. Ta-da!

This one is a snug little basement World War 2 type nightclub, with dim lighting, snug velvet sofas, red walls and certainly no politically correct smoking bans. Occasionally certain selected men may be admitted at our convenience.

Sit down, make yourselves at home, and never, ever apologise for feeling like shit. That's about it.

I'm sorry too herby Mine would've been due next week (5 days before my birthday). I think my birthday is cursed. I lost two babies just before my birthday and one that was due just before. My husband's dad died at 51 yrs (when dh was only 21)on the night before my birthday and his granny died on my birthday.

becaroo · 08/01/2008 18:22

Herbaceous...so very sorry you are having such a hard time.

My ds's first day at school yesterday and I should have been 10 weeks pg.

Feeling very low today, sure I am not pg this month.

ladylush · 08/01/2008 18:21

Personally I think it's a great name

Hello fellow hut dwellers

No idea what cycle day I am on. Since getting hypothyroidism diagnosed and being started on Thyroxine my periods have gone loopy. Did not ovulate last month - I know this cos I got my 'period' 14 days after the previous one. Now getting what may be another fake period only 19 days after the last episode of bleeding. Have no idea what is going on

perkypopsy · 08/01/2008 18:13

p.s. need to change name now new year - trying to sounds all positive but realise sounds a bit porn star-ish

Christmaspartypoppers · 08/01/2008 18:09

Hi ladies...oooh feels like coming home reading your messages... Just back from snowboarding trip that we put off last year cos was PG (hah!) - was relieved not to be this time cos fell over alot which can't be good for beanie babies (?!?) - loads of snow and nice quiet times with DH - totally jet lagged now though - am seeing double!

everything you are all writing I AGREEEEE with!

Is exactly 1 year since BFP howl howl

I too watch all my friends and obsess over my sisters...such is life for us MCers eh?

Last cycle was 48 days!!!!!! what the fck am I supposed to do with that - they are so irregular we'd have to be at it every bl*dy day in order to make sure we get it right hmmmmm waiting for referral then I am going to cry my eyesout till they give me some clomid

happy new year to you all - here's to us all getting some good news!

My (younger) sis is pregnant with her third, conceived first try. No miscarriages (unlike me, who has had four. And no children). She's being very good, not going on about her pregnancy, etc, and I've tried to be enthusiastic. She's just texted me from her 20-week scan. It's a girl. Just like my last, miscarried, baby. I feel very sad.

Sorry Poppy. Crossed post. We all know exactly what you mean. It is so very hard.

ronshar · 08/01/2008 14:37

We are going skiing regardless. I remember in my younger pre MC days I was snowboarding while 13 weeks with my dd2. This time I shall not be going near a board if I am lucky enough to get pregnant this weekend!!!!

poppy75 · 08/01/2008 14:32

Was lurking thought I might join you guys, with a post.

It is so wierd that when I read your posts it could have been me writing them!

Yes shreksmissus everyone is pregnant, those who I work with just seem to stop the pill one moment and then don't even have AF before BFP!!

I had mc in July 06 and had to have ERPC afterwards, just assummed I'd fall again but nothing, nada since! DH also thinks it will just happen, and has no urgency which is alittle annoying.

I am generally positive but when BF keeps moaning about lack of sleep with new DS, I feel alittle as she got BFP 1st month and perfect pregnancy! I do try to be understanding but I think that those that have never had to ttc don't have a clue.

Whow needed to get all that out - sorry about ranting feels better now

duchesse · 08/01/2008 12:49

I remember way back in the days when we still wondered whether or not to book skiing or transatlantic holidays on the grounds that I might be 7 months pregnant by then. Ha! Fat chance, I think now..

On another note, the 44 yr old friend who was pregnant has now lost the baby, leaving me with a set of very confused feelings, as I can't say I was overjoyed for her in the first place.

wheelybug · 08/01/2008 12:24

Well have rung up about availability for skiing and have an option on a holiday so.... we'll see.....

A quick qu for those whose DH's have been tested - how long did it take for the results to get from the hospital to the gp and did your DH just ring up ?

ClairePO · 08/01/2008 11:09

hmm I see what you mean. I would feel exactly the same way. If I skied. We've been putting off getting tickets for Silverstone as I didn't want to be waddling around the race circuit heavily pregnant come July. Now the price has gone up, I'm not pregnant and we have no tickets. TTC sucks.

wheelybug · 08/01/2008 11:04

Because if we book now we will have to take a 2 month break from ttc as I wouldn't want to ski if I did get pg.... I know we should just go for it and it'll probably do us good but .........

ClairePO · 08/01/2008 11:00

Wheely - why are you not so keen on the skiing idea now?

wheelybug · 08/01/2008 10:31

Morning all. Happy New year and all that.

CD1 here . Have lost count of cycles although its now 18 months since m/c.

The only positive thing to note (if I may use the word positive on this thread) is that DH finally did his test on friday so at least we'll be able to move forward in one way. Also last month and this month I haven't had the raging and painful PMT that I have only had since m/c so am hoping my hormones have just taken an extremely long time to settle down ?

RIght, I promised if I wasn't PG this month we were going to have a couple of months break and go skiing.... suddenly it doesn't seem such a good idea

Welcome to those who have joined us here.

hedgepig · 07/01/2008 21:55

can I add "when are you having another one" to the people that deserve a bob on the nose??
I'm getting sick of smiling and laughing (like I don't give a stuff)and answering in a jokey way that we are still working on it.

I'm inclined to agree. Probably best not to try it out on the hypnotherapist though!!

duchesse · 07/01/2008 11:05

People who say "just relax" deserve a fist in the gob in my opinion.

FlossieF · 06/01/2008 19:49

Hello fellow refugees from the ttc after mc thread, and everyone else.

I know this isn't the place to be happy, but reading that some others had abandoned the ttc after mc thread because so much was about pg and not about ttc cheered me up. I'd been thinking the same thoughts (during occasional lurking) so now I feel like less of a freak.

Other than that, af arrived today, so still pretty miserable.

Trying hypnotherapy tomorrow in a vain attempt to brainwash myself into being less miserable, less obsessed, and more relaxed. Desperate times, desperate measures.......
