Hey guys decided to make an end of August bus as there is already an August bus and by the time we get to the middle of aug we will need a new one anyway and it will keep us all around the same time in our cycles.

My stats

Cycle 7
CD 1
AF/BFP due 25th August

Hi all
Was following July bus but didn’t comment. New to all this at the grand age of 38 Ttc #1 and 8dpo with AF due 7 August ... finding this forum very reassuring but feeling the frustrations too! Using cb monitor and ov sticks

ThatSamIAm · 31/07/2019 10:00

Giving up on July and coming over to join you here as I'm pretty sure AF is on the way.

TTC #2
Age 29
Cycle #2

Next/this cycle my test date would be 31 Aug, so definitely end of the month!

Twbmod · 31/07/2019 09:32

Hi ladies, I'm ttc no. 2. Think I've had false alarm this week with early bleed but I'm into day 4 now so I'm putting it down to an early period. Going to console myself with that glass of wine I thought I wouldn't be having and keep my fingers crossed for next time! DS1 is just about to celebrate his first birthday so it's a crazy time! Fingers crossed for everyone ttc this month! X p.s. I probably need to change my username this time round Smile

MrsD0147 · 31/07/2019 09:02

I am on CD 11 and according to my Flo app i am ovulating in 7 days! So from tomorrow the app shows 'chance to get pregnant' up until 4 days post ovulation. For some reason it makes me nervous every month when i read it, think it is just because i really really want it to happen each month. I am trying to be relaxed but does anyone else start feeling nervous around ovulation time - how do you relax?!?

lornz · 31/07/2019 07:38

In definite agreement that AF needs to get a wiggle on. I'm cycle day 21 and had some minor cramping this morning. I think my body knows I want AF to arrive!

Lauralozzle · 31/07/2019 07:11

@Fredthespider @mumofbun thank you, hopefully I’ll hear back next week to see if I have an interview or not.

@Sophieb15 you have lots to keep your mind off TTC - Ireland and Portugal sounds wonderful!

@HarrietM87 welcome aboard!

@kenhomsbestwok
Has AF started? I am too itching to get on with this month!

CD 3 for me, feeling crampy and bloated and bleh in general.

kenhomsbestwok · 30/07/2019 21:04

Evening ladies. Am itching too get cracking (we were going to wait until after our hol in Oct but given my age and likelihood I may have a miscarriage (had a MMC August 2017 and so lost first baby) we’ve decided to go for it now). But bloody well waiting on period before can start tracking/trying! Very faint pink when I wipe and cramping so hoping period will be here by tomorrow!!!! Never have I wished for it so much!

HarrietM87 · 30/07/2019 13:34

Hello, can I join?
I’m 32, ttc no 2. This will br cycle 1 but we’re on hols with in laws and baby next week when I’m due to ovulate so there may not be many opportunities! I’ve still got half a stone to lose from baby 1 (15 months) so trying to eat healthily to lose that at the same time.

mumofbun · 30/07/2019 13:23

@Sophieb15 I'm actually so bad at worrying about stupid little things i'm surprised ttc hasn't already made me a horrible person! I forgot to say that i'm also hoping to try SMEP this month - my husband was ill last month so although we luckily ended up trying around my fertile time it wasn't as much as it could be. I think if things don't work out soon i might go to the doctor about my weight/fertility. I'm not massive - a lot of people don't even think i look fat but i just know i'm a lot bigger than i used to be (2/3 dress sizes bigger than when i got married 3 years ago and probably my heaviest weight ever)!

Sophieb15 · 30/07/2019 12:53

@mrssunshinexxx Not all Irishmen are like him. He's such a gentleman.

@Lauralozzle Yes we are heading to Waterford for the weekend to a friends holiday home really looking forward to the break. I'm 30 then next wed so going out next weekend for that and then 6 weeks from today then I'll be heading to Portugal so loads to look forward to.

Loads to keep my mind off TTC [Smile]

The worst thing is work during the TWW especially if its quiet or you are in a job you don't like. Good luck I hope you get it.

@mumofbun Thanks I'm wishing this week away now hurry up weekend.

Yes the best thing I find is to focus your mind on something else. I'm very good at doing that for the first 3 weeks but the week before I'm due I always stress.

mumofbun · 30/07/2019 12:06

Oh and good luck @Lauralozzle a change in jobs can definitely make a massive difference on your stress!

mumofbun · 30/07/2019 12:05

@Sophieb15 i'm going to try and be more healthy this month - i've been trying to lose weight anyway and i'm sure being overweight is not going to be helping ttc. I'm hoping focusing more on that will mean the ttc goes well haha... Have a great long weekend i hope it takes your mind off thing!

@Tamalama @kenhomsbestwok it depends on the opk - i guess in fmu, the concentration of hormone could be quite high and on the cheaper tests this could cause a false positive (the sensitivity isn't there). It's different with a pregnancy test as you're looking for a surge of the hormone not it being there at all. I use the cheap ones the same as @Lauralozzle - first test mid morning and then second when i get home from work.

@Fredthespider it is possible to have your period that close to ovulation but usually that would be something you would want to talk to your GP about as it can cause problems ttc.

Fredthespider · 30/07/2019 09:23

Good luck @Lauralozzle, it’s amazing what a difference having good managers can make to how you feel at work.

flossy12 · 30/07/2019 08:53

@Tamalama yeah, I know he didn't mean anything bad by it, it's more the fact they love my OH so much and they know that eventually we do want children

Lauralozzle · 30/07/2019 08:23

@Sophieb15 long weekend? I’m jealous.

I have a week off in August, but I’ve still got a week and half at work before that.

Just popped an application in to join another team (same pay, but permanent- I’m currently on a temporary responsibility allowance, but my manager is useless, he wasn’t even sure when it was up and tried to dissuade me from applying for the role in the other team). So I’m hoping I hear back from that application soon. It would mean way less stress (much better run team) so if I got it, it would probably help my mental health and ttc - I’ve heard stress levels can affect ttc - and they’re far to high.

mrssunshinexxx · 30/07/2019 07:37

@Sophieb15 if your in Ireland and see Greg from love island send him my way GrinGrinGrin

Fredthespider · 30/07/2019 06:50

Morning ladies, I think I’m more like mid-August but frankly who knows.

TTC number 2
Cycle 3 or 4 ish
CD 10
AF due at some point as I have no idea!

We’ve been using OPKs since May and finally got a positive on them on the 11th July only for AF to arrive 9 days later on the 20th so I’m not sure how accurate any of it is. That was the first period I had since we’ve been trying so might have been false. Now tracking using Clearblue connected and are showing as low fertility for the last 5 days of testing so I think it’ll be a long month.

Sophieb15 · 29/07/2019 23:25

@Tamalama I would still use FMU even with cheapies look out for the EWCM have you that yet?

Age 33
TTC #1
AF due 23rd Aug
2nd cycle
Feeling positive
Last month was test run really

Tamalama · 29/07/2019 22:22

Thank you @lornz and @Lauralozzle for the advice 😊

@flossy12 it's hard isn't it? People often say things without thinking and don't realise how insensitive they're being 😕☹️ it's even worse when you're actively trying and af appears every bloody month! X

lornz · 29/07/2019 21:42

I've been tracking ovulation using OPK and testing in a morning and afternoon. (You go through a fair few tests but I've definitely found it useful).

Lauralozzle · 29/07/2019 21:34

@Tamalama I usually do an opk 2nd morning urine and then in late afternoon when I’m back from work.

flossy12 · 29/07/2019 21:00

Had a lovely weekend this weekend, up until the point me and OH we're sat around a table with my dad (no one bar my best friend knows we're trying) and he blurts out 'so how long are you going to make your mother wait then' 🙃🙃

Even though we're only on cycle 3 it was a slight kick in the teeth x
