Hello ladies,

Not sure if any of you will remember me but I was here a few months ago. Had to pause on the TTC journey whilst I went to a Zika country. But it's 3 months later and time to get back on it. Excited!

I've been lurking a little and seen a number of bfps, so happy for each and every one who's graduated!

For those who don't know me I'm 31, I guess cycle 1?( Only had 2 cycles before the break)

The husband and I struggle to DTD enough, but we've had a proper chat and are ready to go for it!

Hope you're all well, missed being part of this chat so I'm glad to be back 😁

Sunshine8888 · 22/07/2019 19:01

CD5 here and AF seems to have disappeared. Seeing as I have no clue about my cycle length I better get DTD again soon I think! Out of interest on what CD do you tend to start again?

PrincessConsuela12 · 22/07/2019 18:34

@Anny27

Yes I agree with colleagues, I had them asking as I was going through my ectopic pregnancy & wasn’t entirely sure how to answer.

Still no BFP and only 4 days until AF, I’m not feeling too confident but trying to remain hopeful x

littledinosaurs · 22/07/2019 18:12

Hey all. Am new here and to ttc - I'm on cycle 2 (CD 17 and about to ovulate I hope).

I have a question for anyone temping... I keep waking up ridiculously early - 3/4am. I can just about get away with 4am as it's within 2hrs of 6am when I normally get up but does anyone else get this?? I think it's because I'm so so anxious not to doze! It's so frustrating as I haven't had a normal temp in a while now because of it. I think I'm just venting but if anyone has any wisdom please let me know!! X

Imjustme2019 · 22/07/2019 18:12

@MIW01 sorry to hear AF arrived, the ladies day on here to be kind to yourself, so do treat yourself today. I know what you mean I didn't think it would take this long, we're nearly a year. DO

I don't think we could do SMEP my DP already thinks I'm mad

Anny27 · 22/07/2019 17:57

@MrsH497, @Lozzlepop and @LokiCat thanks for your symptom breakdown! Its frustrating how many of the symptoms are exact same as before AF!

Welcome to all the new people!

@Princessconsuela12 i feel the same when people ask. I usually say "hopefully in the next year". I dont mind it when friends ask, its usually nosey colleagues that annoy me......

PrincessConsuela12 · 22/07/2019 17:16

@makingawish

I tend to be quite casual about it & give a vague reply but sometimes I wish I could could say more!

I’m an only child and starting to feel the pressure from family too 😕🤦🏽‍♀️

FX we all get our BFP soon x

Makingawish · 22/07/2019 17:01

@PrincessConsuela12 I know! I always debate with myself whether to just brush it off and be very nonchalant about it or actually admit I’m trying. Only one of my friends know we’re TTC but she has no children so even she can only say “it’ll happen when you least expect it to” and if I hear that one more time 🙈😄 x

Maisy24 · 22/07/2019 16:49

Thanks everyone Smile I go away Wednesday so at least I can have a drink and enjoy myself, however something really odd happened. I came on this morning with bright red blood (not loads) then the next time I went to the toilet in work it had virtually gone but I had a lot of brown. I feel like I'm still on a period so think it will start again soon. Has anyone else had this before? If it doesn't come back until tomorrow I won't know what day is cycle day 1?

@LokiCat thanks, no they just said to keep trying and come back after 6 months, it's been 6 months now so I'm going to arrange to go back. Tommy DH needs to go for SA anyway first.

Xxxx

LokiCat · 22/07/2019 16:34

Hi all! Hope you all had a brilliant weekend
First day of training over with. Bumped into some familiar faces at the course, so think it'll be a good week Grin
I was worried I was gonna ovulate whilst I was away, because I felt quite 'wet' (sorry!) last two days, but luckily no temp increase and wet cm has gone!

@Lozzlepop how was your weekend? Mine ended up being a pretty quiet weekend with DH, which was definitely needed!

@PrincessConsuela12 @Makingawish @May2311 welcome and to anyone else I may have missed! 😊

@Anny27 I had ridiculous bloating and really sore boobs, the latter of which I always have before AF arrives. It's annoying that a lot of the symptoms are exactly the same!
Keeping everything crossed for you x

@Maisy24 so sorry to hear AF arrived. I know you said the Drs previously said tests all came back fine.. have they advised anything else?

@MrsEG @purplefig sorry to hear you're both feeling tired, but glad the potato/beige food is getting you through it!! 😊

Have a lovely evening al

PrincessConsuela12 · 22/07/2019 16:16

@Makingawish
I have been married for 3 years now and almost on a weekly basis get asked when I am thinking of having a baby. I wish people would think first Sad

Lozzlepop · 22/07/2019 15:13

Hello ladies,

Hope we all had a fab weekend! A big hello to any new ladies I have missed over the weekend, I haven't really been on much.

@Imjustme2019 thank you, just need to keep positive!

@newgirl89 thank you so much, it means a lot, I am doing ok thanks, it has been nowhere near as horrible as last time.

@MrsH497 I am doing ok thanks hun, well we did SMEP on our last cycle and it did work so I would deffo give it a go!

@purplefig @MrsEG how are you both doing?

@Anny27 both times were completely different, the first time i felt like AF was coming for about 2 weeks after I got my BFP, this time I felt no normal PMS symptoms but was quite nauseous. I did feel really tired both times though.

Makingawish · 22/07/2019 14:26

@May2311 I’ve been tracking properly for 4 months but have been off the pill for a bit longer, I’m just only counting the actively trying months to remain slightly more sane 😄 it’s not working... haha x

@MIW01 I completely agree with everything you’ve said. I’ve had more than 1 incident today in work where I’ve either been asked when I’m having a baby or listened to a newly pregnant person talking about their pregnancy and my stomach just drops 😞 I wish it was as easy as some people make out x

MrsH497 · 22/07/2019 14:05

@Anny27 when I had my BFP I only had sore boobs, tired, late AF and felt like I had a cold nothing else of note really. That was the month I hadn't paid any attention to DPO and suddenly realised I was late for AF

MIW01 · 22/07/2019 13:55

Really empathise with everyone whose AF has arrived. Mine has this morning. I just feel so overwhelmed by the emotion it's brought on . . . I think somewhere deep down I still hoped that the BFN was a false 1 and I wouldn't see AF arrive but she has and I feel so sad and disappointed and thinking of all of you out there who are going through the same, especially those TTC for a while. I've only been trying for 1 cycle and this is still devastating so I can't begin to imagine going through it for so long. I am so very truly sorry and making lots of wishes for happy endings soon for you all struggling with this TTC malarkey. I too, naively thought that you just decided when you wanted the baby to arrive, count backwards, do it in the right month and to-day! Job done. Life is so cruel sometimes.

May2311 · 22/07/2019 13:53

@Makingawish 4 months for us as well! However this is the first month I’ve been trying to track ovulation and researching everything!

raveena1984 · 22/07/2019 13:35

A menstrual flow of minimum 2 days is acceptable.
Our cycles can slighly vary from month to month.

Anny27 · 22/07/2019 13:29

Afternoon ladies :)

Hard to keep up with so many messages after a day or so of not reading haha!

Hope everyone is doing well and keeping positive.

I am 7dpo and having similar PMS symptoms as usual. Feeling still hopeful though! AF due next monday/ Tuesday so thinking of testing on Sunday

Those whp have had their BFPs - did you experience the normal PMS symptoms or did you feel different?

MrsH497 · 22/07/2019 13:28

@MrsEG I'm ok second AF was shorter than normal. Keeping everything crossed this is our cycle! Enjoyed being in Devon and got a day off today with DH and enjoying the sun xx

raveena1984 · 22/07/2019 13:28

Let's relax and conceive.Most women conceive when they least expect it.Stress is no good.I know it is easier said than done but it is possible to enjoy this ttc journey in a more relaxed way.
The only scientific thing I am using now is opk and temping.I have decided to not check cm anymore.
I have started to listen to positive pregnancy chants too to avoid feeling negative.
Gonna keep myself busy Smile

MrsEG · 22/07/2019 13:19

@ELW85 The first few weeks are a limbo for anyone; you’re in no different a boat than anyone else! You’ve just had a bit of an early scare but I feel very hopeful for you :)

@MrsH497 Hi lovely, how are you doing? I am fine - really feeling the effects of the hormones the last few days but I’m getting through it okay, with the help of beige food and polo mints :) xx

MrsH497 · 22/07/2019 13:14

Hi ladies!
@ELW85 glad you're feeling positive
@Lozzlepop hope you're doing ok
@MrsEG so lovely to see you and @purplefig

@PippaPug how was your wedding?!

Welcome newbies

We are thinking of trying SMEP this month anyone done it and been successful?! Xx

ELW85 · 22/07/2019 12:20

@purplefig - thank you for the lovely words and support. I’m even doing a (gentle) gym session tonight so I’m pretty happy with where I am :)
Haha, I’ve felt nauseous off and on but am yet to stumble upon your potato obsession- give it time though!!
It’s great to hear that you’re getting on well. Have you had any thoughts on finding out the gender?

@MrsEG - of course, advice is always welcome :) and it’s lovely to hear from you!
You’re right, they aren’t as sensitive as bloods and apart from the one the hospital is making me do before I go in for the scan (they want to make sure I’m still getting a positive after the bleeding), I promise I won’t be doing any more!
I definitely feel in a much better mindset and although it’s still a bit of limbo, I feel pretty good and am determined to stay that way.

How are you getting on? X

MrsEG · 22/07/2019 11:54

@ELW85 Great to see you have a scan date! I know it probably feels like ages away but the further along you are for a scan the better. It’ll be here in no time at all as well - just one more weekend!
If I can offer some advice from someone who knows all too well what that ‘limbo’ feels like - put the HPTs away, too. You’re definitely pregnant! Test progression is a bit of a myth especially in the early weeks and the HCG levels are just kicking in. Plus, urine tests aren’t nearly as reliable for the hormone count as a blood test so it’s not unusual for a line to not change, or even a CB to go backwards. Would you panic if you took another and it said 1-2, even though in actuality there’s nothing wrong? I know I would. I just ignored all of my ‘TTC paraphernalia’ (as DH called it) completely and just keep in that positive mindset - just tell yourself, right now you are pregnant - that scan will be here before you know it x

purplefig · 22/07/2019 11:37

@ELW85 that is completely understandable and I think you handled it really well considering how traumatic a time it was. I really do feel quite good about your progression through - the fact your CB has gone up is so, so reassuring. And (not that we're talking about them anymore!) but your temps are where they should be too. I know you won't properly relax until you've had your scan, but I'm so glad you're feeling more settled. Nausea = carb cravings which has turned into an all out obsession for the humble potato. Honestly, I'll never take them for granted again! Grin
