Hi guys,

I’ve done a few threads on here for ttc but this month I am in a new positive state of mind and I am determined to get that BFP!!

I’ve been to the GP today who said my bloods have come back fine for hormones etc and just that I am very low on vit d (which I knew from last check up and have been taking vitamin tabs twice a day) anyway....

She has said there is nothing to suggest any infertility or that I’m not ovulating and that perhaps I am ovulating and not timing it. I was convinced at this appointment I would be prescribed chlomid, but no she said that I just need to come back in 2 months with a new blood test and see from there...

I came away disheartened and a little bit like I’d given up until I thought hold on she said there was no reason to suggest in infertile or have a problem therefore I am fertile and need to work harder! So I got online ordered loads of OPKs, preseed and a basal thermometer.

I also downloaded Sperm Meets Egg and I am determined this month to follow rule by rule. Sorry that was very long! But I am due AF any minute so will be tracking from about day 8 anybody want to do the journey with me??

@Skyla01 I had a positive opk test on CD10 and CD11 which totally threw my predicted ovulation out the window. Been hastily trying to DTD since but will have to see what happens.

A couple cycles ago my body tried to ovulate on day 12 but then it delayed it to day 16 so I'm wondering if this is going to happen again 🙄

@tinyole have you had any positive results on opk yet?

@AllHopeAndNoResults that's annoying, maybe not the best start to a romantic evening. I'm sure you can turn it around though! Or maybe go for tomorrow night instead? I hope you Agnus castus arrives soon!

@tinyole oh dear, why do you think that is? Good call for you though if you think that’s the best thing to do.

AC still hasn’t arrived 😭😭 I’m so eager to get going though but it looks like I’ll be about a month behind now

Glad yours arrived! Have you started taking it?

The bloody AC still hasn’t arrived grrr! But I plan to start as soon as it does. I had a ‘sexy’ evening planned for me and DP as it’s been a while and I know he has to be empty with fresh swimmers 🤦🏻‍♀️ But he has been irritating me since being home from work so not sure how this plan will end 😂

Are you and DP/DH doing anything nice for the run up? 😂 sexual details aside of course 😳😳😂😂

@VenusStarr I'm well thanks babe and you? Ava and natural cycles have predicted two different ovulation dates and my ovulation tests have blown them both off so I'm just DTD in the regular this week and I'm tired already 😂

How are you getting on?

@AllHopeAndNoResults your positive vibes have worked for me- flashing smiley this morning but I had lots of fertile cm through the day so tested again once i got home- static smiley (I.e. peak fertility)!! So excited! That probably means ovulation tomorrow so will be busy DTD for another day or two.

When are you going to start Agnus castus? I think it's worth trying yourselves a while longer. A lot of fertility is unexplained, just takes time. Sounds like you have a good plan!

@Skyla01 I know how it can be just squinting hoping to see lines on tests and monitoring every ‘new’ twinge in hope it’s implantation. Well that obsessive behaviour might just be me 😂😂

I’ve done a lot of thinking and I’ve decided I am going to try out AC and preseed on its own rather than go down the GP route at the moment. I’ll give it 6months and if nothing still then I’ll go back to GP. At least if I DO get pregnant than I know for sure it was the natural way that helped.

Any updates from anyone?

Morning ladies! I will reply to each individual with specifics lol but I just wanted to quickly say to you all:

It looks like some of you will be in the TWW soon and I know it can be a tense time and can feel like the longest two weeks of your life, it would be great if you all got your BFPs straight away this month, but I want you all to remember not to feel defeated if it doesn’t happen this month!

We are fresh into the plan and it might just take a few months to get the hang of it and dtd and the right time.

Although I have every faith you will all produce sticky babies this month (wooohooo!) I just wanted to share to keep the good vibes up. Have a lovely day ladies and I’ll be back when my morning is less busy 😂 x

Morning everyone. Looks like I did ovulate yesterday, my temperature stayed up today, just need tomorrow to confirm and I'll officially be in my tww. Hoping we've done enough 🤞 how strange that I can pinpoint my ovulation this cycle to a 3 hour window!

I've got a reflexology consultation next week @Skyla01. Am looking forward to it.

I Was hoping for a shorter cycle this month but cd24 and don't think I've ovulated yet. Hopefully it's close so DTD every other day. I've found a website for someone near me who does fertility complementary therapies including reflexology so I might give them a shout if/when next af shows.

@AllHopeAndNoResults from what I’ve read, most people start with 1ml and go from there. I guess it’s personal preference because aside from it increasing sperm viability, it’s supposed to make the whole experience more comfortable/pleasant so it depends what works best for you both x

@Makingawish how much do you think I should use then? The leaflet says most women use between 2 and 3 ml or whatever it is but that seems like a hell of a lot tbh x

@AllHopeAndNoResults I think you are supposed to use it every time but you might not need as much as the suggested amount. If it’s anything like conceive plus then a little bit goes a long way! I only had a 30g bottle of that and still have some left after 2 cycles x

@Makingawish I’ve picked up some preseed today and the tube looks tiny! How often are we supposed to use it. Surely not every time we dtd there wouldn’t be enough in that tube and it’s so expensive for what it is!

@tinyole haven’t started with AC yet, still waiting for it to arrive 😡 I’m a bit worried that’s set me back now, I’ve read that you should start taking it on cd1 but also heard it doesn’t matter what day of the cycle. Hopefully it doesn’t matter, it’s a herbal really so I doubt it would make much of a difference as to what day? I feel good vibes for us this month too. I did manage to rebook for the 1st August.

Could you imagine, by then I’d be taking AC which shortens you so I may come on then too 😂😂 I’d be really annoyed lol

@Skyla01 glad to hear you are feeling better, no matter what stage of ttc you’re at it’s always going to take over and it’s normal to go a bit loopy. You’re right at home here 😂

I agree that AC isn’t for some just like Chlomid isn’t so exploring other options is a really good idea. Do you know when you will see a reflexologist? It will be interesting to see if that helps. I’ve heard good things about that and acupuncture.

@VenusStarr I'm not sure about temps, but if you think the opk was positive I would get down to DTD anyway so you're covered.

@AllHopeAndNoResults I'm ok thanks, really think I need to give myself a talking too. I'm only 4 months in to ttc and already feeling a bit loopy. I just need to relax!! I've heard good things about Agnus castus but a bit wary about taking a strong herbal remedy. I think my next thing to try will be reflexology. Interested to hear how @VenusStarr gets on with it!

Did you get AC and have you started taking it? Excited for you I have great feelings about this month! Did you rebook your tests? Hopefully they won't be needed!

@VenusStarr morning! I think you've had a big temperature shift if it's right but a couple of points. Definitely try not to use fmu because LH is present normally in urine and surge usually happens in afternoon so it might be false positive. Also with temping taking it at different times affects the temperature. I read if you take it later than usual the temperature will be higher and earlier than usual it will be lower. If I take it more than 2hrs out of my usually time then natural cycles ignores it from my cycle. Anyway worth taking a another opk test this afternoon and seeing if it's still positive. Either way definitely worth keep DTD! Good luck!!!

@AllHopeAndNoResults I haven’t read the ingredients, no. I seen an article describing the sperm viability for both of them though and there was quite a difference % wise between them both. I’m sure preseed was around 90%! X

Morning @VenusStarr I’d say if your opk was positive then you’ve ovulated. It’s a good idea to do as per the plan and you might not have missed it because you have that 3 day window. Try opk later this afternoon as I know fmu isn’t an indicator.

With the temping I have no idea, I struggle to understand if I’m honest, but defo stick to the plan and don’t write it off!

@Makingawish I know what you mean about it turning in to a chore. Have you read the ingredients to see the differences between the two?

Morning everyone. I think I've ballsed up my temps. I woke earlier than usual, so measured then and it was slightly lower than yesterday but was 2 hours before my usual time. So I took it and then went back to sleep for just over 3 hours and it spiked to well over 36. So have recorded that in FF. It was an hour or so after I usually take it. I've attached my chart.

I did an opk yesterday at 9pm and it looked pretty positive and also did it today with fmu (which I don't think you're supposed to do 🤔). So, do we think I've ovulated yet, or will do today? I wasn't expecting it until tomorrow. Going to try and dtd today and tomorrow as per smep but have a feeling the window has passed.... What do you guys think?
