@tinyole that app looks really good! If I use ic opk in future i will get the app to go with it. It can be useful to have a record too, you could compare with past months. It's useful you'll have the temping info to confirm ovulation. Looks like we'll be in the TWW together! My AF is due 8th August which is when OH and I are off for long weekend. My plan is to not pack a test and leave it until I'm home. Easier said than done...! Although my last two AFs have come bang on 14dpo so I think that AF will act as a negative test if she shows up.

@AllHopeAndNoResults maybe have a look at getting the app for help with your opk?

@Skyla01 I think I'm 1DPO too so we can countdown together. I'm trying not to test until at least 9DPO, last month I started a 6DPO and burnt through so many tests as well as drove myself mad 🙈🙈

@AllHopeAndNoResults no luck regulating for me unfortunately. I think ive ovulated but I'll know for sure tomorrow. Fingers crossed we've done enough. Ava is saying in ovulating in Friday but I had very positive opk tests this weekend. It's too bad you can't put this info on Ava as that would be helpful.

I found the cheapie opks good enough but I've read mixed reviews about them. Where did you get yours from? I bought a pack of 50 from amazon (where I get everything from 😂😂)

I've been using Prénom app and found it really good actually to be able to grade opk tests. I've attached a picture of my tests and cycle from it so you see the kind of information you get.

Temping is annoying, especially for me since alcohol makes my temp spike like crazy but I'm still doing it as well as using Ava because it's giving more accurate info at the moment. I know Ava can take some time to get to know you. I tend to just do it whenever I wake up, even if it's in the middle of the night and I need to pee.

DH and I will keep DTD until Friday just in case Ava is right.

Has your AC arrived yet? Do you have any idea when you normally ovulate? I would continue with the tests, you might not have hit your surge yet. Also what time are you taking them? I have to sneak at lunchtime at work to do them which can be awkward 😂😂

@OP maybe they are negative and a line will start to appear as the results get more positive? Haven't used them though myself. Would be weird for them to all be duds.

I would give it a good shot this month- you have every chance! But if you don't succeed you'll have reinforcements for next cycle. Try not to stress to much.

Yeah I will be 1dpo tomorrow. At least tww us shorter than the 3.5 week wait I have for ovulation!

@AllHopeAndNoResults do you have the PreMom app? You can upload pictures of your OPK’s to that and it gives you a score based on how strong the control/test line ratio is. You might find that you never get what they deem a testbook positive but it helps figure out YOUR peak because not everybody is the same 😊

I think 2 days, but fertility friend says 3 dpo @Skyla01... Its going go be a long 2 weeks!

@AllHopeAndNoResults are you using the cheap opk sticks? I haven't used them myself. How do you know if they are invalid? I think ava is fine if you want to spend the money. But it would be much cheaper just up have lots of sex, and probably the same chance of conceiving.

@VenusStarr how many days post ov are you?

I found temping really stressful @AllHopeAndNoResults. I'm only doing it this cycle because my reflexologist asked me to. I think it's good to confirm ovulation and to work out your luteal phase. I am now worried in the tww that I will be analysing every day wondering what it might mean (nothing, it means nothing until af is late and your temps are still up!)

It is faffy though, you have to wake at the same time and literally not move / Talk / get up for a wee until you've measured it. And you need to have slept for 3 hours. I find that when I temp I become more aware so I wonder if I don't sleep as deeply as normal. I'd recommend for a cycle or two to get to know your cycle but not sure of the benefit long term. Although my cycle is regular so perhaps with a longer / irregular cycle it's handy. But you can't generally predict ovulation, you'll only know you've ovulated after the event.

@AllHopeAndNoResults I don't know the ins and outs of it at all! I think it is very faffy but if you stick with it can give you lots of accurate info. I'm not a good sleeper so I don't think it would work for me, if you wake up a lot of will raise your temp artificially. That's why the ava thing is appealing, it measures temp for you.

@AllHopeAndNoResults I haven't temped myself. I think you have to be strict and measure early at the same time each morning? It might be useful for you to help confirm ovulation. There is a temperature change after ovulation that can confirm it has happened. Whilst opk tell you the LH surge has happened, it doesn't guarantee you then ovulate.

They say after a while the sperm get stale, so it's good to get them moving early in the cycle so new & stronger sperm are ready to go by ovulation. That's what I think anyway!

@AllHopeAndNoResults good luck to starting with Agnus castus next cycle. What cycle day are you on now? If you want to know of ovulation has happened I think temping is the easiest way to do that. It's hard to know otherwise, I wouldn't get your hopes dashed unnecessarily. You could be ovulating fine.

@AllHopeAndNoResults I think I’ll get home from work and throw the windows open/put all the fans on and hope by about 9pm it’s a bit more manageable 😰 we had a storm too but about 2.30am 😴

How is anybody managing to DTD (doing the deed) in this heat?! I’m starting day 1 of SMEP tonight and I’m dreading it already! Think I’ll put my bedsheets in the freezer beforehand 🤣

@VenusStarr I guess an extra DTD can't hurt. Probably a good idea just in case! I think we'll be trying to DTD for another 3 nights to cover the whole fertile window. Then we can have a break ;)

@tinyole I think your ava would be able to confirm ovulation in a few days by looking at your temp (like @VenusStarr)? It'll be interesting to know if it's accurate! I have definitely heard of people having two LH surge a few days apart so you're right that could be you. Good luck!

Morning all. My ovulation has been confirmed by fertility friend, although it's put it as cd10 which was sunday? I think it was Monday personally.

Do you think we still need to dtd on Thursday (the extra one) if it was Sunday, my thinking is the egg is hopefully busy with a sperm now. Feeling like we didn't do enough 😔

@AllHopeAndNoResults no idea it's so frustrating. I'm trying not to focus on it and just enjoy DTD with my husband. If I ovulate today or tomorrow great. If a few days later great. Whatever happens happens 🤷🏾‍♀️
