Hi guys,

I’ve done a few threads on here for ttc but this month I am in a new positive state of mind and I am determined to get that BFP!!

I’ve been to the GP today who said my bloods have come back fine for hormones etc and just that I am very low on vit d (which I knew from last check up and have been taking vitamin tabs twice a day) anyway....

She has said there is nothing to suggest any infertility or that I’m not ovulating and that perhaps I am ovulating and not timing it. I was convinced at this appointment I would be prescribed chlomid, but no she said that I just need to come back in 2 months with a new blood test and see from there...

I came away disheartened and a little bit like I’d given up until I thought hold on she said there was no reason to suggest in infertile or have a problem therefore I am fertile and need to work harder! So I got online ordered loads of OPKs, preseed and a basal thermometer.

I also downloaded Sperm Meets Egg and I am determined this month to follow rule by rule. Sorry that was very long! But I am due AF any minute so will be tracking from about day 8 anybody want to do the journey with me??

@tinyole I use PreMom and Flo mainly and I've just figured out I can actually add a positive ovulation test on there when I've messed around with the settings so thank you so much!

Happy Tuesday everyone! im ashamed to say I caved yesterday and did a sainsbury frer and it was BFN then again I'm still only 7dpo. AF is due Thursday/Friday so trying to just hold off till at least Friday 🤞🏾🤞🏾

@AllHopeAndNoResults I love all your quotes please do keep posting them! Yes still getting headaches from AC and still only taking it once a day. How are you finding it?

@Makingawish do your apps allow to record a positive opk test? I also use natural cycles and when I put in a positive test result it changed my predicted ovulation date as well as predicted AF date. What apps are you using? (Sorry if someone has already said this)

@Mooey89 welcome! CD21 looks really good on the opk test! What time of the day do you test normally? I read somewhere it was good to do it twice so I do it at 1pm and 5.30-6pm

@VenusStarr can you tell what's going to happen by watching your temp? It's like predicting the future!

My AF isn't due until a week on Thursday. At the moment I'm not planning to test until after that weekend (If I'm still late). We'll see if I can stick to that plan!

Morning all, 9dpo today and my temperature is slightly up but trying not to get too excited as there's still a few days until af is due.

Has anyone tested yet? Hope we all get some good news soon 💕

@Makingawish sounds like you are 1dpo! I'm 6dpo and the time is dragging! I've had some mild cramps, hope it might be implantation! But it's probably a bit early for that.

@AllHopeAndNoResults completely agree about sometimes not fancying it after a full day but it's on them days it's just a quick one! It's also hard for it to be anything more when using preseed because you have to practically lay there still for 10 minutes but if it works then so be it. We were the same in terms of not speaking but I made up with him the day before we had to start because I refused to waste a cycle 😂

Fingers crossed for you that you get some progress on your OPK's today! I'd definitely recommend getting a CB kit if you need it next cycle though because that removes any ambiguity when reading them.

@tinyole are you still getting headaches from ac? I think it could have been a one off as I haven’t had one since. Are you having any other side affects?

@Makingawish defo 😂 my cycles are long but we sometimes get in this mood and do it a lot anyway. I think it’s just hard for some in a sense of trying to fit in doing the actual deed as much. Like in the mornings I think how can anyone think having sex is too much every other day but by night time having a full days work done along with housework and life I do think ahhh I get it 😂 and I agree with you that it’s sometimes very much over and done without any effort 😂

I actually missed a day yesterday so haven’t dtd for 2 days just because DP worked late and I got fed up so we went to bed not speaking 😂 so it’s a bit difficult in that sense as well if you’ve had a disagreement but I’m sure I’ve not ovulated yet so I’m not panicking.
I can’t remember if you or someone else said, it’s hard to know when I’m in the TWW as I’m not sure of my cycles yet. I had a dip in temp today but I think because I done it at a different time ;(lazy mare woke up later) hoping I have progress on opk today

@AllHopeAndNoResults I think it would be hard if you had longer cycles because I guess you'd then be DTD quite a few times before actually ovulating and then to have to do it 3 consecutive days would be a bit much but we're really enjoying it! Sometimes it is a bit of a "wham, bam thank you ma'am" but at least it gets the job done 🤷‍♀️

@Makingawish I agree with you! We are finding it the easiest. It’s all the dtd I think is tough for some. I’ve changed it a bit and just been dtd every other day until I ovulate

@Skyla01 I got my static on Sunday so if I say I ovulated yesterday at the latest then today is officially 1DPO and I'm in the dreaded TWW!

Is anybody else currently doing SMEP right now? I've been reading a lot of other people in other forums saying that it's really tough but we're actually finding it the easiest so far!

@Mooey89 oops just read your post again. DTD can get a bit tiring! I have quite long cycles myself so I modified it a bit to reduce the DTD earlier in the cycle. Otherwise you might be too tired to DTD when it really matters!

@Makingawish I would use the first day after static smiley as ovulation. So if you saw static for furst time yesterday today is ovulation day. That shouldn't be more than 1 day out either way.

@Mooey89 sorry about your cp. I've heard ladies saying is can affect your cycle so I think you're right. Looks like you've got a longer cycle this month but only slightly. I haven't used those opk but the lines look fairly dark to me! How are you finding smep?

We’ve been doing SMEP this month after TTC for 9months.

I was supposed to ovulate around day 17 but still not a positive test today on day 21! I think I had a chemical last month so I think everything is up and down, been DTD every other day since day 8 - I’m bored of it now 😂😂.

Earlier this afternoon I had a very nearly positive so perhaps tomorrow.

I don't know when to count my ovulation as this month because my apps don't tie in with my static smiley from yesterday. I'm not sure I can go through my TWW without knowing exactly how many DPO I am 😂

It is hard to get the balance @Skyla01. Part of me thinks if I feel hopeful then I should enjoy it but you don't want to crash back down if af arrives. Fingers crossed for you 🤞

@AllHopeAndNoResults I don't think it's definitive but a dip is more common on pregnancy charts than not 🤞 hope you're gearing up to ovulate soon :)

@AllHopeAndNoResults I found the best lighting to just be completely natural light and making sure the camera focuses properly otherwise it can blur out the lighter looking line and give you an even lower result! It’s really positive that they’re at least progressing though. Get ready for that surge!

@VenusStarr I am feeling quite hopeful this month. However given I'm now on the TWW and possible af is on the horizon I'm trying to talk myself down a bit. I don't want to be too down if AF arrives. It's hard to strike a balance sometimes.

@Makingawish 0.25 which I took just 10 mins ago so it is getting there, and your tip about the lighting has been helpful but then I’m not sure what’s the best light to do it because if it’s too bright will it give you a false stronger result and vice Versa for full lighting 🤦🏻‍♀️

The problem is I don’t know when I usually ovulate so actually this is great for me and I’ve been temping so I’m learning lol

@VenusStarr does a dip in temp usually mean implantation then? That’s great if it does it sounds hopeful and it’s good you are staying neutral the worst thing to do is get your hopes up. I’m also crossing my fingers for you

@AllHopeAndNoResults ahh perfect then! You might find that you just get your surge at like 12pm one day and by 4pm it’s dropped again so it’s good to be doing it twice. What’s the highest you’ve got so far? Is it falling in line with when you usually ovulate?

Hi everyone :) I've missed a fair few messages. Hope you're all OK.

I'm 8dpo today, had a dip in my temperature over the weekend (implantation 🤞) most likely not. I'm not feeling positive or negative about this cycle, just realistic.

Keep posting the positive messages though @AllHopeAndNoResults :)

@Makingawish I don’t use fmu I tend to do one around 12 and one around 4. I think they may be reading right. I’ll just keep peeing all next week 😂

@AllHopeAndNoResults I love a good quote! When are you doing your OPK’s? The cheap ones shouldn’t be done with FMU. I found it best doing them about 4pm after not drinking much the 2hrs before.

@Skyla01 good I’m glad, I know how I feel sometimes so I can only imagine you all feel the same at times. I’m CD12, according to Ovia my ovulation day is in 7 days but Premom says 10 so I’m just going to keep opk during that period of time.

Weird though today my ovulation stick was a lower score than the past few days 🤷🏻‍♀️ Good you have a weekend away planned too defo distracts you from testing
