Been told to 'expect the worst'

So ....by my last period (23.04.19) it puts me at 8+3 weeks pregnant we paid for an early scan last Sunday and she said I was measuring at 5+5 there was a sack and a yolk but no fetal pole or heartbeat, told me to go back in 2 weeks,

We went for another scan today at a different place and she says it doesn’t look good as I’m still only measuring 5+6 she said there is a fetal pole still no heartbeat and to expect the worst and she’s referring me to EPU Monday morning and looks like I have a little bleed just above the sack

Has anyone else had this??
It's going to be a long wait until Monday, so I loose all hope completely!?
I don't know what to do ...
I just feel hopeless ....

To make things worse I've just started with bad morning sickness, she said because the sack is growing I will still experience symptoms as normal 😞
Finding this really hard to take in

Hey @SamRwl: i am going through the same . As per my lmp i should be 7weeks plus but had two ultrasounds within last 10 days which showed growth of only 1 day.
Difference is in first on there was no cardiac activity but in second we had a faint heartbeat.

Have a scan next week. Please advice any precautions you took ?

Hey @SamRwl: i am going through the same . As per my lmp i should be 7weeks plus but had two ultrasounds within last 2 days which showed growth of only 1 day.
Difference is in first on there was no cardiac activity but in second we had a faint heartbeat.

@mumof1hants officially 8+2 (still kind of 11 weeks in my head) from being put back 3 weeks but to be honest it's gone quicker than I thought, got another scan Friday and I can't wait, very nervous but can't wait!
Finally feels like we are back on track and caught up!! How long have you been TTC? When will you be testing!, I'll have everything crossed for you xx

@SamRwl I'm ok... still plodding away TTC on the July bus. Fingers crossed!! How many weeks are u now? Hopefully the sickness won't last too long tho xx

@mumof1hants I didn't track it at all it must have just been really late I can't believe it, 3 weeks behind seems like a lifetime to catch up but I'm so so happy to see that little heart beating !!!
It's really put me off going for early private scans she was so adamant it was a miscarriage I'm just so relieved I even cancelled my booking appointment just another 6 week wait until the 12 week scan but at least I can try to enjoy it now ❤️xx

I remember you saying on another thread somewhere that you didn't get a BFP until really late... that must be why?! We're you tracking ovulation? X

Just had a scan and there is a beautiful heartbeat I can't believe it, I just burst out crying !!!
Everything looks good I'm just a lot earlier on than I thought ! Only 6 weeks instead of 9 xx

So sorry to hear this @SamRwl, it's such a shit, cruel thing to go through, especially when you're feeling the full effects of morning sickness. I had continual brown bleeding through first pregnancy so scanned me at EPU and saw heartbeat at 6+4. Just felt like something was still wrong though so paid for private scan at 11+4 and baby had stopped developing at 7+4. It was such a shock, even though suspected something, and ended up having d&c to remove. They scanned me again prior to this to make double sure. The doctor made sure to tell me that it was nothing I had done, more than likely a chromosome abnormality so baby wouldn't have had quality of life anyway. I took a bit of comfort from that, not in the moment, but afterwards. My next pregnancy resulted in my dd so it didnt affect anything there (although was very paranoid throughout but think that's understandable once you've experienced something like this) . I'm sorry to hear this. I had a similar experience where my dates didn't match the scan. Unfortunately it did end in a natural miscarriage when I was 9 weeks but baby was only 5+.

Be prepared for the epu to send you away for a rescan in 12-14 days. I had 3 in the end as they needed to see progress (or not) in order to confirm a missed miscarriage.

Was the private scan abdominal? There is a chance you ovulated late and if not transvaginal it might be too small to call it yet.

It's been 2.5 months since mine and I'm still struggling to be honest. Sorry this is happening to you Flowers
