@Lozzlepop Well done with the SMEP! It’s bloody tough going haha! Weather here is shocking today too but is then supposed to be glorious for the rest of the week, fingers crossed!
I am doing okay; still very much taking it all day by day - tablets are fine, injections aren’t too bad. They don’t hurt at all I just get so nervous beforehand (which doesn’t belong DH one bit!). Next appointment with the nurse is next Monday, so I just want to get to that now; but trying very hard to just stay very calm and relaxed about it all. X

Lozzlepop · 24/06/2019 06:30

Morning ladies, looks like an absolutely horrible day here, where’s summer?

@ELW85 haha I feel like I deserve a medal, genuinely feel it was a one off fluke I’m not sure we would be able to keep that up every month. Good luck for you starting ☺️ It was a lovely weekend but I feel when you go on a night out that your weekend goes so fast!

@Larrydavid yup SMEP is done, thank god 😂 I don’t think we’ve had sex as much since the early days 🙈 how are you doing? I just use the IC so can’t offer any advice, I’m sure you can get creative for a bit of glasto BD, wouldn’t that be a story to tell 😂

@ValidUser I hope your scan goes well, you just need to keep positive!

@MrsEG how are you feeling? A trip to the lakes will be lovely, feel like I’m there just now this downpour has turned outside into a swimming pool! I hope You have a nice relaxing week with DH you guys deserve it. Hope the injections are going ok xx

MrsEG · 24/06/2019 06:09

Just checking in - hope everyone had great weekends! We’re on annual leave all week this week; so of course my body woke me up at 5:45!! We’re not off to the Lakes til tomorrow, but heading to see Toy Story this afternoon!

@LindyMoe Congratulations :)

@FlapJackered So wonderful to hear from you again!! How are you feeling?

@Larrydavid Great news! Although speaking from experience here, no one bats an eyelid if you have sex in a tent at Glasto haha (although I’m going back about 10 years here!!) Enjoy the festival!

@ValidUser good luck with your scan lovely, how are you feeling this week?

Larrydavid · 23/06/2019 22:48

@ValidUser ahh ok. So not really predictable at all - the only reason I've not bought cheap ones is because I like to get it out of the way first thing in the morning.

I tested again on the clear blue one tonight and got peak fertility which has made my day as I can keep my sex in a tent at a festival to an absolute minimum! Hurray. Sticking to SMEP by the letter and didn't want to let a tent defeat me!

LindyMoe · 23/06/2019 22:29

Aww thanks everyone! Testing again on Wednesday to make sure x

orangeloo · 23/06/2019 22:08

@LindyMoe yaaay congratulations!! Wishing you a happy and healthy nine months.

@ValidUser I put my cup in too last time. I layed for an hour with it in but then got the ick and got worried about getting an infection haha. But I figured that was still good as I read it takes sperm half an hour to reach the Fallopian tube. Think I will do this around all near Ov days now. Fingers crossed.

ValidUser · 23/06/2019 17:02

@Larrydavid I tagged you and never answered your question! I used to use the clearblue sticks.

Some months they gave me peak on day 9 without any high (and positive on day 14/15 with cheapies). Other months I got no peak at all and had ovulation confirmed with bloods (and once even saw the collapsed follicle on ultrasound).

The cheapie OPKs have always been better for me, but I know not everyone agrees!

@kiza mine went in easy with a bit of conceive plus, but had horrendous trouble getting it out. 😂

@Lozzlepop @Fivebyfive2 @Larrydavid my scan is to tell me when to trigger. Feeling it's unlikely to work, so a bit tired of it all, but nice and calm.

Just when I thought AF had finished me and DH DTD this morning then bad some watery blood which is annoyed

Larrydavid · 23/06/2019 15:52

@ELW85 ahh cool. I didn't realize you could use the clear blue ones twice a day. I don't want to miss my ov (and desperately want it to come soon!)

Kiza · 23/06/2019 15:41

@ValidUser ahhh just googled it and it's a menstrual cup, already have one of those. Although I have to squat to put mine in TMI 🤦🏼‍♀️ so not sure how I'd manage to catch everything in time 😆

ELW85 · 23/06/2019 15:18

@Larrydavid - I use the CB OPKs with IC strips as it gets a bit expensive to test twice a day with just the CB.
Mine varies too, but if you use the same holder, it gets more data on your individual levels which will help narrow it down over a few cycles.

Larrydavid · 23/06/2019 15:08

I'm still getting flashing smileys on CB opks - though we've been having fun with SMEP - this does mean that timing-wise, we'll be in the very fertile bit during glasto. Oh well, we'll make it work somehow!

Does anyone else use the clear blue opks and if so, does the high fertility length vary for you each month?

Larrydavid · 23/06/2019 15:06

@LindyMoe huge congratulations!!
@ValidUser I love your message - 'go tell your OH you're pregnant, I'm a doctor' - I didn't know you were a 👩‍⚕️ - also I had to google soft cup!

@Lozzlepop has your smep marathon finished yet??

@FlapJackered so great that there's no reason for you to not get pregnant. I love that the doc has taken control - must feel like a relief!

Fivebyfive2 · 23/06/2019 14:49

@lindymoe, congratulations on your bfp 🙂👍

@Validuser, I'm good thanks hun. We're on holiday and having a nice time although I have randomly started crying 3 times in the last 2 days! It's our 7 year wedding anniversary today so off for a nice meal tonight. Glad to hear your 'cup' is working! Good luck at your scan xx Will they do the trigger again? Xx

ELW85 · 23/06/2019 14:13

@ValidUser - ah great stuff! I do the propping my hips up with a pillow thing and not moving for 45 mins but if there was a better solution, I’d be fully on board!
How are you feeling about the scan tomorrow?

@LindyMoe - we’re knee deep in house and garden stuff too, so totally understand!

@Lozzlepop - you’re superwoman!! It feels like you need a medal after the SMEP 😂
DH has every intention to put the moves on last night, but we were too knackered after the gardening. We’ll be starting the SMEP again this week so I hope we manage it.
Sounds like you’ve had a great weekend :)

Lozzlepop · 23/06/2019 13:28

@LindyMoe massive congratulations lovely ☺️

@ELW85 it will be so worth it in the end! I’ve been out in the garden a bit this morning, our wild flowers are all starting to flower and the garden is looking pretty ☺️ I’ve just cleaned the house and have all the windows open airing the place! DTD again last night so have deffo covered all the bases this month SMEP DONE 😂

@ValidUser thank you! How are you feeling today?

Kiza · 23/06/2019 13:07

@LindyMoe congratulations! I can understand the apprehension as I myself had a chemical and was so excited for a week that I was actually pregnant (I tested a week before AF was due). However yours sounds positive as you're already 2 days late ☺️
@ValidUser I've never heard of this soft cup thing... off to google it!

@FlapJackered your appointment sounds very positive and sounds like great advice too!

MrsH497 · 23/06/2019 12:46

@LindyMoe congratulations xx

LindyMoe · 23/06/2019 11:59

@ValidUser @ELW85 thank you ladies. We were full gardening yesterday too, but feeling a bit sensitive today so going to look at some tiles instead. How fun do I sound?!

ValidUser · 23/06/2019 11:46

Sorry @FlapJackered, I meant @Lozzlepop!

OP posts:
ValidUser · 23/06/2019 11:45

@ELW85 yes! Seems to have done the trick too. Very little spooge in the cup after removal. 😂

Next scan tomorrow.

@FlapJackered glad you had a good night!

@Fivebyfive2 how are you?

OP posts:
ELW85 · 23/06/2019 11:38

@FlapJackered - great that you had your appointment and it was reassuring :)

@ValidUser - sorry if this is a stupid question, but is the soft cup to stop flowback?

@Lozzlepop - your weekend sounds great! It was a full day of garden work for us yesterday. Tiring but worth it; we’re definitely getting there! I’m cracking on with housework today as DH is at work.

@LindyMoe - congratulations!

ValidUser · 23/06/2019 11:00

@LindyMoe congratulations! ❤️ xxx
