Oh @LikeTheFruit that's so wonderful to see. Fingers crossed for a sticky bean! Please do lurk around xx

LikeTheFruit · 04/07/2019 13:16

Morning all!

My digital test finally arrived from Amazon! Finally feels real now. Everything crossed for a sticky one.

Thanks so all of you so much for all the support and laughs over that last 6 months. Hoping you all get your BFPs soon. I might lurk for a while too so I can see them too.

Lots of love xxx

Morning all!

@LokiCat @Lozzlepop - thanks ladies! I’m fine, just an odd scenario (I’ve taken on a new department and it’s caused a lot of emotional reactions). Not personal I think, just unexpected and they were all quite close.
I hope you’re both feeling better and can still walk after the gym?
I’m back tonight so will be joining you 😂

@MrsH497 - yay for static smiley! Good luck with this cycle - got everything crossed for you!

Have a lovely day, all!

Lozzlepop · 04/07/2019 08:57

@ELW85 sorry to hear you had a rubbish day yesterday, I hope the takeaway helped. A Chinese is always my go to when I fancy a takeaway 😋

@LokiCat my legs are pretty sore, stairs are the worst 😂but thankfully I am not in as much pain as I thought I might be! Got woken up by cats fighting last night so its another day of being tired - when will it end lol. How are your legs?

@MrsH497 woohoo amazing news!! Get on it girl 🐎

@Anny27 I found using OPKs really useful as I would have had no idea otherwise that I don't OV on day 14, the first cycle I used them we got our BFP 🙂Haha the TTC journey is so different for men and women, we do all the back work, if only they knew lol

Anny27 · 04/07/2019 08:12

@Lozzlepop we aren't temping or using OPKs at the moment (but did use OPKs back in jan/feb before we were ttc just so i could understand my cycle a bit more). I have some more so might use them this month!

@LokiCat sorry to hear about your miscarriage! That so great that DH and family were so supportive!
I think i will have to bring up the idea of supplements when he is in a good mood haha. Yep i am trying to keep our TTC journey as stress free for DH (i do enough research and tracking for the both of us, he just has to do the fun bit haha)

@MrsH497 thats promissing:D yep get convincing hubby haha

MrsH497 · 04/07/2019 06:41

Morning ladies!
Static smiley day first one I've had since MC I wasn't going to temp or OPK this month as that was how I fell pregnant last time. DTD Tuesday night so would've been fertile period got to convince hubby to get back on it tonight!

Have a fab sunny day xx

LokiCat · 03/07/2019 22:45

@ELW85 the workout was good! I'm trying to complete couch to 5k in the gym over summer because it's just too hot for me to run outside! Then did some abs and leg workouts. Think the squats got me though 🙈
DH grilled some spicy chicken with veg and mash 😊
Oh no sorry to hear about your traumatic afternoon! Hope everything is okay? Never regret a takeaway! They always manage to put a smile on my face!

@Lozzlepop ahh I hope your legs feel slightly better in the morning. I'm hoping a hot shower before work will help! Otherwise we'll both most likely be wobbling around tomorrow 🙈

Have a good night ladies'

Lozzlepop · 03/07/2019 22:11

@ sounds like a good plan just find loads of zinc filled foods 😉

@LokiCat I’m the same, my legs are absolutely killing me already and I don’t know how I’m going to manage tomorrow 🙈🙈

ELW85 · 03/07/2019 22:09

@LokiCat- we all love essays, so no need to apologise!
How was the workout and what was awaiting you for tea?

I’d ended up having a bit of a traumatic afternoon at work, so the al fresco dinner went south and a takeaway got dialled. I have zero regrets 😂

@Lozzlepop - that halloumi dish sounds immense! I might google something similar as I’ve got some halloumi lurking in the fridge :)

@PippaPug - hmm that is a strange one, as it’s usually your Ov that gets delayed with stress. If it is a bfn, the good news is that you get to enjoy your wedding toast and not be tired for any honeymoon you’re off on?

@MrsH497 - I’ve always wanted to visit Hampton Court! DH and I are heading south to see Ian McKellan in London in October so I’ll try and get a visit in!

I hope everyone has had a lovely evening?
Nearly the weekend and nearly time for me to start obsessing over a TWW again!

LokiCat · 03/07/2019 21:52

Sorry I'm always responding with essays 🙈

LokiCat · 03/07/2019 21:50

Had a gym session this evening and my legs are absolutely killing me 😩 gonna be a struggle walking around tomorrow 🙈
Felt better when I got home though as DH had sorted dinner!

@Lozzlepop ooh I love a bit of squeaky cheese! Always get some out on a bbq. Your dinner sounds lovely!

@ELW85 haha I completely agree. We're so lucky that they just go with everything when we ask them to!
Ooh I love an al fresco dinner! Hope you had a good evening :)

@Anny27 oh that's good. EWCM is luckily a good indicator with me as well, but I'm too controlling to just use that, so use OPKs and BBT charting as well 🙊😬
I was actually wondering the other day about mentioning supplements to DH. He currently doesn't take any.
We're currently on cycle 7. Had a BFP back in March but unfortunately ended in MC. DH and family were very supportive through it and we decided to start TTC again straight away.

@MrsH497 ooh the flower show sounds lovely! I love going to Hampton Court. I always have a great day out when we go.

@PippaPug oh I'm so sorry about the BFN. I hope you're still in. Sorry if you've already answered this, but when is your wedding? I hope you're able to have some stress free days leading up to your special day! xx

Imjustme2019 · 03/07/2019 21:49

@Larrydavid - the acupuncture is going well. I saw some people mention it on here and thought it could help with both anxiety and fertility, she's really nice and like you say you do feel relaxed afterwards. Got my third visit on the 15th as she's away, but I did initially want to go every 2 weeks to start with. I thought I could then review and go either monthly or stick to fortnightly.

@Lozzlepop & @Anny27- I brought up zinc supplements last night, but DP said he's had them in the past for other health reasons and they make him feel really sick, so that's a no. Will get zinc in him in other ways in that case!!

@PippaPug sorry to hear a BFN. It's good to let the tears out, it's not silly at all, we all get our hopes up and have a good cry.

Lozzlepop · 03/07/2019 20:56

@ELW85 it’s a dish with brown rice and quinoa, rocket and tomatoes with a nice dressing ☺️ Can’t beat halloumi!

@MrsH497 sounds like a double win, hope it’s nice weather for you ☺️

@PippaPug you can’t beat a classic Disney film! It totally would have been but this way you get to let your hair down and really enjoy the day ☺️

PippaPug · 03/07/2019 19:46

@Lozzlepop - haha The little mermaid is a good one! I’m looking forward to the wedding of course, but this would of been the icing on the cake Smile how are you?

@ELW85 - I had the peak smiley on the CB on the Monday the 17th, had sex on the 16th, 18th and 19th. I don’t seem to have any EWCM ever either 🤨🤷🏽‍♀️ So I’m guessing I’m out and period is just delayed due to stress! Don’t mind Disney in my head now and then do all is ok! How are you?

@MrsH497 - Thank you, it’s a shame and just got swept up in the moment. The flower show sounds amazing, do you have a idea what you want to buy?

MrsH497 · 03/07/2019 19:21

Ooh @Lozzlepop I love halloumi! I need more recipes for it though

@PippaPug sorry about the BFN I know with weddings it's easier said than done but try to not stress and just enjoy the build up. It goes so quick.

@cupcakesandglitter I'm gonna stick with it a bit longer. I've not been office based and 9-5 for over 10 years so hoping it's just an adjustment phase!

@Anny27 hey welcome! I'm on cycle 7 we started trying after we got married I came off the pill last September. Got our BFP end of April but sadly MC 17/5 so back to trying again! Had my first AF a couple of weeks ago so hopefully my body is back to normal.

Gorgeous day sat in the garden when I got home. Off to Hampton court flower show on Saturday can't wait (credit card may disagree with my excitement!) and means I have a reason to not go to the baby shower.

I've written an essay sorry!! Xx

ELW85 · 03/07/2019 17:50

@PippaPug sorry about your BFN. Do you know when you Ov? Could still be in?
And sorry for getting that song in your head!

@Lozzlepop - halloumi is my fave! What are you doing with it?

@Anny27 - we’re on cycle 4 of trying with tracking (5 altogether, but the first cycle was miles off).

Lozzlepop · 03/07/2019 16:38

@Anny27 thank you 🙂thats exactly it, its definitely more common that I thought and we naively just assumed it wouldn't happen to us, we never ever considered anything would go wrong. But you cant dwell on it and you just have to keep on trying and look to the future 😄Are you temping / using OPKs?

Anny27 · 03/07/2019 16:32

@Lozzlepop sorry to hear about your MMC :( i think its so important to share this kinda of stuff as i didnt actually realise how common miscarriages were untill reading these forums and stuff.

We are fairly new to TTC - this is our second cycle :)

Lozzlepop · 03/07/2019 14:53

@Anny27 we decided to TTC at the end of the year and came off BC at the end of December, got our BFP on cycle 2 but sadly at 8 weeks we had a MMC. We gave ourselves time while we waited for my cycle to resume again and had a month off and enjoyed a holiday and now back on it! So we are almost 7 months in but I guess technically only cycle 3 - bet you wish you'd never asked lol! What about you?

Anny27 · 03/07/2019 14:37

Thanks @Lozzlepop @ELW85 ! Might bring it up with DH - like you said, just an extra thing that might boost us and help get that BFP quicker :D

Where are you at with your ttc journeys -what cycle are you on etc?

Lozzlepop · 03/07/2019 13:01

@ELW85 I made a lentil bolognese the other night which was lovely and tonight its Halloumi! Just back from the gym, can tell I wont be able to walk by Friday 😂but at least that's it done for the week!

@PippaPug now wouldn't that be the absolute dream!! Love the little mermaid, I too have that song in my head now hehe!! Sorry to hear it was a negative, just try and look ahead to the wedding and enjoy that when it comes 🙂

PippaPug · 03/07/2019 12:47

@orangeloo - I’m glad all your tears have come back fine, that’s good news at least but it’s worth going back to if there is anything else you can do just incase Smile

@Lozzlepop @LokiCat - Disney periods sounds a lot of fun, added bit of sparkle to cheer you up each month!

@ELW85 - your right she was called Ursula, and I now have that song she sings “you poor unfortunate soul” part in my head Hmm glad the gym went well but yes, good having a break too.

Just tested (which cost a arm a leg) and it’s negative, feel stupid for getting my hopes up and just had a cry Blush I am sure the stress I’m under is why my period is late, but there was a glimmer of hope.

ELW85 · 03/07/2019 11:57

@Lozzlepop - that’s a great idea! We’ve started using Quorn quite a bit (particularly the mince) and don’t notice enough of a difference to use meat for things like Spag Bol again.

@Anny27 - yes, DH takes a Wellman conception supplement as well as CoQ10. We haven’t done his SA yet, but he’s just really keen on doing all we can from the outset so was quite up for it!

Lozzlepop · 03/07/2019 11:52

@ELW85 good on you for going after work 💪🏻ooh that sounds lovely, I love a bit of Al Fresco dining! We have been having quite a lot of meat free meals this week, I have only had meat once since Sunday and that was fish, its a veggie option again tonight then more fish tomorrow.

@Anny27 no, I did bring it up once however I don't think he was keen, I was trying to imply not that I thought there was anything wrong with him but that we were trying to do everything we possibly could to get a BFP.

Anny27 · 03/07/2019 11:34

@LokiCat
A few month's ago i used OPKs to see whether the EWCM i get was indicative of when i ovulate and it is so i usually just base it on when i get EWCM

Have any of you made DH take any supplements? Wondering whether to get him zinc supplements
