@Lozzlepop aww lovely so sorry you've had an awful couple of days. I've got absolutely everything crossed for your appointment tomorrow. Lots of love ❤️

LikeTheFruit · 17/07/2019 19:20

@ELW85 Hi lovely. so sorry you're having such a worrying time. I'm pleased the spotting has settled a bit and I'm sending you loads of positive energy and love.

Larrydavid · 17/07/2019 19:18

@Lozzlepop @ELW85 - honestly hope it goes well for you both. We're all here if you need to chat/ vent. But hopefully we'll just all be here to celebrate good news!

I'm off to the country in the morning. Today I've been working and finishing my garden. Have some new furniture and we're sitting outside on it with a beer. Its lovely. Very much looking forward to a couple of days away. I'm going to try and stay relaxed this month as I felt a bit stressed in the last tww. I've worked out I have until December to get pregnant and if it doesn't happen then we'll have to take a little break so I'm not too huge for a wedding dress!

MrsH497 · 17/07/2019 19:17

@ELW85 meh had a migraine today 12dpo still bfn so I'm not hopeful to be honest. No sore boobs which I had last time.

I think that's true when I MC my hpt went negative pretty quickly. So glad it's all looking better. Saw your lines in another thread they look great! X

ELW85 · 17/07/2019 19:03

@Larrydavid - thank you for your lovely post; sorry I missed it earlier, I’m so tired!
How’s your country retreat or are you still in Ibiza?

ELW85 · 17/07/2019 19:02

@MrsH497 - hiya, I’m feeling a bit better, thank you :)
Absolutely knackered but still have my sore boobs, temps were still up this morning, still getting a strong positive on a HPT and the brown bleeding has nearly stopped (hopefully it’ll be gone by tomorrow).
I’m using all of this to stay positive and just tell myself that I’ll consider myself pregnant until I’m told otherwise.

I’d read that if you lose your pregnancy at less than 8 weeks you lose the line on a HPT straight away as it’s the embryo that’s creating the hormones, but after that it can take a while for HCG to leave your system as the placenta takes over, so I’m really, really trying to stay positive and keep my head up.

Sorry for the vent, it’s been a long day.

How are you doing my lovely? Xx

MrsEG · 17/07/2019 18:18

@Lozzlepop I went private and basically got the full suite of blood tests they would have done at the hosp, but much much quicker. She was based at a general IVF/fertility clinic so worth calling one close to you to see if this is something they could offer - i’m sure they would. Hope you’ve managed to relax today, good luck tomorrow I really hope it’s great news x

MrsH497 · 17/07/2019 18:15

@JM0934 thank you lovely we really hope it does think I'm probably out this month.

@Lozzlepop @ELW85 how are you both doing? Xx

Lozzlepop · 17/07/2019 17:34

@MrsEG thank you so much lovely! I’m hoping it doesn’t come to that either but just interesting to know how to get the ball rolling if we did need to go down that route! Did you get your tests done with her private clinic or the nhs one? I’m not sure if we have the same sort of private services up here so will need to check!

@newgirl89 thank you so much, DP is looking after me I’ve been sat on the sofa resting and will try and get an early night, I am really tired actually!

@JM0934 hello and welcome the ladies here will be able to answer any questions you may have about the crazy world of TTC

@Larrydavid thanks for your kind words hun! Just want to get to tomorrow and have an answer one way or the other! Are you looking forward to the country retreat?

Larrydavid · 17/07/2019 15:44

@ELW85 I'm sorry A&E were shit. I hope you get all the reassurance soon ❤️ sending huge internet hugs your way.

@Lozzlepop I'm so sorry you're also having a rubbish time - I hope things get better and your appointment tomorrow gives you reassurance. Really hope it stops and everything is ok 💜 sending huge internet hugs your way too.

@LokiCat holiday was awesome thanks. Have a day of blitzing my work, doing some gardening then off again tomorrow for a few days. A very indulgent week! Totally agree with getting closer to other half! Same here - it's a nice side effect to some of the stress that comes with ttc.

Hello to everyone new! Welcome 🖤

JM0934 · 17/07/2019 15:08

@newgirl89 haha Grin I think we all are!! Good luck to you!!!! Hope you get some good news soon! X

newgirl89 · 17/07/2019 14:56

@JM0934 also ... don't think I'm not totally obsessed too haha x

JM0934 · 17/07/2019 14:41

@MrsH497 I’m sorry to hear about your miscarriage! I hope it happens soon for you!

Thank you for your advice! I have to say, I feel much better already after speaking about it! X

MrsH497 · 17/07/2019 14:38

can someone copy my comments about relaxing and it will happen and hit me over the head with them when inevitably I come on moaning it's a bfn it'll never happen! lol **

MrsH497 · 17/07/2019 14:36

Hi @JM0934 welcome!
We've been trying since November last year got pregnant April and miscarried in May so back to square 1!

Try and relax it does become obsessive no matter how hard you try not to. It will happen x

JM0934 · 17/07/2019 14:30

@newgirl89 I was on the pill for years but came off it last January and have been using condom since then!

I totally understand it’s normally to not get pregnant straight away. One of my friends got pregnant the first month, so I guess there’s a little hope inside me wishing we would be the same but I’m not gonna be too disappointed if we don’t! Like you said, life has to keep going!! X

newgirl89 · 17/07/2019 14:13

@JM0934 what contraception were you using before? If you read back through this and online it is very uncommon to get pregnant in the first 6 months. GPs often don't do further investigations until you have been trying for at least a year.

I know exactly how you feel. But. For now. Try to enjoy Trying. You don't want to have it take over on month one. When it could take longer.

Life has to keep going (keep telling myself that!) don't put anything off because you might a) be pregnant or b) have a baby.

Would be much better to cancel plans than it would to never make them! X

JM0934 · 17/07/2019 14:01

@newgirl89 I'm glad you are in the same position as me! Grin I know what you mean about taking over your life as I'm feeling the same! All I think about now is trying to get pregnant! I even got a bit upset last night because I have a feeling this month won't happen... how silly!!!!!!

Good luck to you!!!

newgirl89 · 17/07/2019 13:51

@Lozzlepop I have got everything crossed for you. Rest this afternoon. Eat what makes you happy. Have a cuddle. Get an early night. We are all here for you x

newgirl89 · 17/07/2019 13:50

@JM0934 welcome to the group. I'm also pretty new here! This is literally our 1st month trying. I am day 15.
So far only using an app to track my cycle. I'm trying to exercise regularly. Eat healthier. Drink less alcohol and caffeine. And of course DTD regularly!
I'm nervous that it will very quickly take over my life as I am a) a bit obsessive b) impatient.
I am hoping to give it 6 months of tracking / learning my cycle / regularly DTD hoping for the best. Then will look at maybe temping / opk sticks.
Maybe I am being silly. But we also want to enjoy the process if we can.
If anyone has better idea than me. Please tell me :) I'm not easily offended.

X

ELW85 · 17/07/2019 13:46

@Lozzlepop - so pleased you’re resting up and your DP is being so supportive :)
The midwife still wants me to see her tomorrow to register the pregnancy and she’s booking us in for an early scan too.
She basically said that I’d know about it if I was miscarrying as it would go from the brown spotting I’ve had to a full period red flow and it would be really painful, so I’m just keeping everything crossed she’s right.

From everything I’ve read, if it’s before 8 weeks, home pregnancy tests will show as negative before bleeding starts or certainly after, so I’m tempted to do one when I get home xx

MrsEG · 17/07/2019 13:04

@Lozzlepop so glad you’re able to get to the EPU. In my experience around 6 weeks they’ll check your HCG levels and probably do an exam, and then if the levels are high enough they scan you the next day. They don’t like scanning are 6 weeks if HCG isnt too high yet as it means you might not see much, so don’t worry if they don’t offer it immediately. It’s still just really early. fingers crossed, you’ll have some real reassurance soon.
My consultant is the head of the recurrent miscarriage clinic at my hospital - where you get referred after three consecutive losses. I googled her like mad and then a friend told me she had a private clinic locally so I booked in there which really sped up the process.
I really hope it won’t come to that for you my love; but if you wanted to know who you’d need, it’s best googling the RCM at your hospital and see if you can find the name of the lead consultant. But I really hope you won’t need it x

JM0934 · 17/07/2019 12:58

Hi Ladies Smile

I'm new here!

Me and my husband have just started trying for our first baby! Thought I would come on here and gain some experience and advice from everyone. (and also just to chat with people who are on the same boat! Grin)

This is only our first TTC and to be honest, I don't even know if I have tracking my ovulation date correctly. Hmm I've been using my FitBit app to track my dates, and got those strips to check for the past few days, but they were never darker than the test line (like they say on the packaging) so we've tried it anyway - I'll wait for a couple of weeks before I do a pregnancy test (I doubt this will happen first time but I am keeping my fingers crossed!!!)

It's hard for us to do it regularly as my husband works away Monday - Friday so I'm worried that it will take us forever to get pregnant. Sad We try to keep an open mind about this as we are both fairly young (I'm 26 and he is coming up 29) but with our friends getting pregnant and having babies, it's making us want it even more! plus it doesn't help that I'm a very impatient person lol!

How long has everyone been trying?

xxxx

Lozzlepop · 17/07/2019 12:57

@LokiCat thank you so much lovely, I am home and on the sofa now just trying to keep my mind off it really at the minute as I know at this stage there’s nothing I can do but hope!

@ELW85 thanks hun! DP is stronger than me and getting me to remain positive as at this stage we don’t know anything which is very true. Thanks so much for your kind words it really means a lot, sending a big hug your way too, did you manage to speak with the midwife?

@MrsEG do you mind me asking how you found your consultant? I was having a nosy on the way home but I’m not really sure what I’m looking for or what my best course of action is should things not progress this time?

@Maisy24 thank you so much lovely ❤️

Hope you are all having a good day!

ELW85 · 17/07/2019 12:39

Thank you so much @Maisy24. Not been the best couple of days but would be lost without you guys x
