Let’s do this!! TTC #2

Hi all! I’m new here! So excuse me if I’m not using the correct abbreviations 😂

I’ve had my nexplanon implant removed today in order to TTC #2!
I’ve never actively tried for a baby before as DD1 was conceived whilst on the pill! So I’m totally new to all of this and was wondering if anyone wanted to buddy up? I’m told my cycle should normalise straight away but I’ve not been without contraception since 16, I’m now 32 so not sure what my cycle looks like as nexplanon left me with no bleed at all and with the exception of having DD I’ve been on the implant for 6 years!

Any help/support would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you, it was for the best tbh - I love my job now and they were really accommodating for me to come back part time after my DD. I'm going to stick to cheapies too I think, at first at least - as you say the branded ones are so expensive!

Suzanne4989 · 22/07/2019 09:27

@SazCat thank you for replying. So sorry you were made redundant, hopefully you are enjoying your new job.
Yeah pregnancy tests. I bought a few clear blue tests when I was two days late last month and they were all negative. So annoying as I spent a fortune on them. Any way, I bought some cheap ones from ebay period is due on the 8th so a little while yet.

SazCat · 22/07/2019 00:30

Pregnancy tests? I got loads of cheap first response ones from eBay for the first few months of trying, when I was obsessed with POAS! Grin
But then personal circumstances meant I wasn't as invested (made redundant and started new job) so decided not to test until I was overdue my period.
The month I found out I was pregnant I bought a 2 pack from a supermarket (I forget which) then when I got a positive went out and bought a digital weeks indicator one Smile

Suzanne4989 · 21/07/2019 23:37

Hello, can I join as well :) we are currently ttc baby #2 what tests are the best to get? X

SazCat · 21/07/2019 19:47

Just finished my first period since having the implant out Smile So fingers crossed for good news in the next few months!

RoxyDancer · 19/07/2019 20:33

Hi all can I join ye? TTC #2 cycle 2 cd4
Wishing everyone luck Smile

turtletum · 19/07/2019 19:19

Any news? I've just finished af and ready to start again this month. I've bought some opks to help pinpoint ovulation. Any one else starting their next cycle? Baby dust to everyone!

thatlldodotpig · 05/07/2019 14:04

Hi all, can I join?

I'm in first cycle of TTC #2, my DS is 2.4 so feels like a good time.

Picked up some cheapy OPKs and dusted off my basal thermometer. Currently CD9, so I guess the action starts this weekend!

Hope you're all doing well...

crazychemist · 04/07/2019 21:37

Good luck @SazCat! Hopefully you’ll be one of the ones that catch straight away

SazCat · 02/07/2019 19:40

It's out! Grin Doc said I can start trying straight away, said I should get a period in around 2 weeks. But if I don't, to take a pregnancy text as she's known people to catch straight away. Can't see me being that lucky though!

SazCat · 02/07/2019 12:47

It is a hormonal one, Nexplanon. I'm going to ask the doctor if I need to wait for a bleed before TTC. I guess it would make dating easier, but I am keen to start!

crazychemist · 02/07/2019 07:49

Hello there @Bol87, welcome to the thread!

Cd6 here. Nice easy week at work this week, which is good timing at least!

Fingers crossed for @Wrigleys123, @NicoleP95 and @legolife

Good luck for getting your implant removed today @SazCat. Do you have to wait for a withdrawal bleed before you'll know what's going on with your cycle, or is it a non-hormonal one?

Bol87 · 30/06/2019 14:38

Hello!

Trying for number two here too! This is month two of actively trying. Daughter is 25 months.

Last month the OPK’s never went positive & I never had any ovulatory CM, in fact, I barely had any all month Confused .. so I feel like I perhaps didn’t ovulate?

This month, I’d have expected to ovulate on 23rd.. but I’m pretty sure it was late on/around 26/27th. I was on holiday & didn’t have any OPK’s, so more guess work this month!

So now the TWW is a bit confusing. I have very regular periods, 7th of each month. It’d be my first period not on the 7th in over a year and a half! Unless I have a short post ovulation phase perhaps? I’m not one to test early, I wait for my period. But no idea when to expect it this month, sigh!

Good luck all! Star

Hey ladies sorry I've been quiet I've been house sitting for my sister and her dog for the week and just got home today!

@crazychemist I still haven't come on but a pregnancy test showed negative, so I'm not to sure! Still not having period pains either! It's a strange one, I've got the clear blue advanced digital ovulation kit and the conceive plus kit sat in my amazon basket just waiting to come on so I can order it and get ready for this cycle! Hope you're well? X

Wrigleys123 · 30/06/2019 09:51

Surviving two week wait here thanks! About day 26 I think, reckon AF is coming soon as the classic signs are there! It's annoying I can't remember my symptoms from last time I was pregnant, wish I'd taken more notice Grin

crazychemist · 30/06/2019 09:25

Hey @NicoleP95, we didn’t hear back from you - no luck this cycle after all? Sorry if that’s the case Flowers

@legolife and @Wrigleys123, are you surviving the TWW?

(Can you tell I’m vicariously hoping for some good news!?! Wink)

SazCat · 27/06/2019 21:23

Booked in to have my implant removed on Tuesday Smile

Wrigleys123 · 27/06/2019 11:38

Argh sorry to hear that Chemist

crazychemist · 27/06/2019 11:22

AF showed up today. Damn. On to the next cycle.....

crazychemist · 25/06/2019 17:27

Hi there lego. Sorry to hear about your loss. That must be quite scary for you.

Sounds like this thread will be quite active at the beginning of July (fingers crossed!). I’m still feeling horrifically impatient, cd35 and I reckon I’m due to test at the weekend.... I have a day off on Thursday and I know I’ll test then as I just won’t be able to resist! So distracted from everything else in my life.

legolife · 25/06/2019 14:55

@Wrigleys123 oh good luck. It's nerve wracking isn't it Confused

Wrigleys123 · 25/06/2019 13:27

Hi lego, I'm due about that time too. Hopefully this will be your month!

legolife · 25/06/2019 11:44

Hi can I join please?
Periods due to show on the 4th July but My cycles are weird and vary from 25-30 days.
I suffered a blighted ovum in feb and had a d&c so I'm a bit scared that the same will happen again. We've been trying from the offset but nothings happened. We have two daughters aged 5 and 2.7.

NicoleP95 · 25/06/2019 11:30

I've brought two clear blue with week indicators online and they're due to come on Thursday - but I've just brought 4 cheap strips in Poundland and I'm so tempted to do them now but OH wants me to wait! It's just sooo hard!

Wrigleys123 · 25/06/2019 11:22

Hi Crazychemist and Nicole, hopping on here from other thread Grin

Sounds like you are both holding out to test! I'm only cd21 or something, also on holiday next week so hopefully it will take my mind off of testing! So far I have tested the last 2 months and got AF the next day so this time I'm determined not to test at all!
