New TTC Ladies!

Hi ladies!!

I’m new here :) my partner & I have made the very exciting decision to start ttc! I came off my pill about 2 weeks ago now and have been dtd as much as possible. Just wondered if any other ladies are in a similar position and want to buddy up?? It can be so overwhelming thinking about it all and I want to stay as calm as possible :)

Hello ladies! How is everyone doing? I just got back from honeymoon and I did a pregnancy test and it was negative. To be fair I only did it as it’s been a calendar month since I took my last pill, so I have no idea what is going on with my cycle. What I do know is that I had EWCM on 8 and 9 July so if I ovulated just after that it would be too early to test now anyway I think. Hope you are all doing well!

Hey @Sunshine8888 sorry for the delay in responding, tbh I was just knackered and had been having lots of cramps and twinges. I think I would have tested regardless of those things because it had been 4 weeks. As for cycle days I have no clue - sorry I'm not much help xxx

@HoneyBee833 do you mind sharing what if any symptoms you had or did you just test because 4 weeks had passed? The pain in my lower back and abdomen is getting worse today but I think this is also a sign of AF on its way (I didn’t get any cramps when on the pill) I used to get sore boobs though and currently these are fine - it’s a mystery! Do I count from the first day of the withdrawal bleed? If so today I’m CD31

Congratulations @HoneyBee833. That was quick! I don’t think I am pg but then I don’t have much to go by! I’ve been bloated every since I came off the pill which was a bit of a shock as if anything I thought I might lose a bit of water weight! And I have had lower back pain the last two days but that could easily be PMS. Nothing else to suggest pg! OH and I have been trying every 2-3 days for the last month. I don’t really want to take a test so early as I’m scared of getting a bit obsessed 🙈 and don’t have obvious symptoms. It’s such a confusing time!

Hi ladies

Hope you don’t mind me joining. I came off the pill at the beginning of June, had the withdrawal bleed pretty quickly and am now waiting for AF to arrive. I’m very new to this as have been on the pill for 15 years. We are ttc now but no idea what is going on with my body and can’t track anything! I am having weird symptoms but think it’s just the hormone change! How and when do you know to test? I don’t even know if I’m ovulating! I’m still learning the lingo but congrats to those with BFPs recently!

Hi girls! I’m new can I join?? Me and OH have been trying for about 3 months. Thought this month was the one, about 6 days late but AF has arrived today 😢

Hi ladies can I join you all? DH and I started TTC two weeks ago and I've pretty much worn him out in our efforts 😂

Stopped taking the pill late May and have had a break through bleed and one period.
AF is due next week so keeping my fingers crossed and will test a day or so before.

I've struggled with BBT charting as my temps haven't matched ovulation tests etc maybe I'm doing it wrong. Congrats to all you've got a BFP!!

We got our BFP last night, can not believe it!! We only came off the pill the beginning of June so it can happen quickly!!!

No news from me yet. My withdrawal bleed from the pill finished last Thursday. We got married on Friday, had our wedding reception on Saturday, had a post wedding brunch on Sunday and arrived on our Honeymoon yesterday. We are going to DTD as much as possible and I’m looking out for signs of ovulation. I would love a honeymoon baby Grin

My AF is due on July 4th, and I'm planning to test on Monday 1st. Been having major moodswings, and generally just feeling out of sorts.

I am on day 4 of withdrawal bleed. I have had a reaction to a scented sanitary towel and I am just generally not enjoying being female at the moment....!

We go on honeymoon on 1 July for 2 weeks so I am secretly hoping I will ovulate during that time and we will have a honeymoon baby :) :)

I've been having cramps all weekend and thought my period was just around the corner. Still no sign so took a test this afternoon and it was a BFP Shock I'm in shock! Husband and I went straight to the shop and got more, I've done another which was positive again and I'm going to do another in the morning. Shocked and so excited.
How's everyone else getting on?

Hi all!

I'm enjoying reading that everyone is roughly at the same stage!

DH and I have decided to start TTC, I have been ready for years however DH has been very cautious (I was very conscious that I didn't want to force him into it, so I waited for him to ask me!) we've been together for 10 years and married for 7.

I came off the pill on Monday and currently having my break through bleed. I have endometriosis so the doctors advised me to take my pill back to back to ease the pain however I have recently been having monthly breaks to ease my body in gently to monthly periods.

I'm taking Pregna-Plan vitamins, follow the Ovia app and as of next month I will be testing my ovulation. This is all so new and frustrating to only research on my internet and not talk to anyone in real life for advise.

Once question I need to ask ladies, what position is best for conceiving?!

Also, still learning the Mumsnet lingo! Please bare with 💋
