Anyone in the TWW???

Hi everyone,

So as the title says is there anyone in the TWW?
DH and I said we would try for number 2 after summer but whoops we've had a couple of slips. I looked at my ovulation app (which has never failed me before to get pregnant) and both times it was in my fertile days.

So here's the confusion.. I apparently was in my fertile days from 8th-13th June.
13th June being the day of ovulation. We DTD 8th June and 11th June. The last couple of days I have had very bad cramps low down. This can't be implantation yet so was it ovulation pains? My CM was snot like some of it thick but also some of it was slippery too sorry TMI!! am so confused, feeling I've missed the boat.
This TWW is stressful. I've never temped or taken OPK's as it's always been quite easy for me to fall pregnant (I've had a lot of miscarriages Sad)
We are lucky enough to have a DD though.
DH is actually quite excited that we could be pregnant but I just don't know and feeling quite impatient!

Love to hear from you guys and your stories too!

Liv x

Thanks :) I will do

Abi58 · 10/07/2019 22:23

@Yvonne1988 🤞🏻 for you! Make sure you ipdate is when you test 😁
Hope you're one of the lucky ones! ☺️

Yvonne1988 · 10/07/2019 22:12

@abi58 only 4 weeks ago on Friday. Absolutely certain I ovulated 2 weeks ago. Just from signs not testing it. So I know there's a chance it's all cos I stopped the pill, but Im still not sure. Think the only thing I haven't felt yet is nausea .. and even then I haven't finished my cereal in the morning. Hopefully find out on Saturday...

Abi58 · 10/07/2019 22:07

@Treaclepie19 💕 we're here for you

@Yvonne1988 erm I've always had combination but since stopping the pill I went sporty but not oily and more dry, I can't really say if was oily as such but since being pregnant I literally look wet and oiled up on my face I reckon if I put a tissue on it it would come off wet 🙈
When did you stop the pill? Any idea if or when you ovulated? 🤞🏻

Yvonne1988 · 10/07/2019 22:04

@abi58 have you had oily skin before? I'm still waiting to see if it's just coming off pill symptoms or pregnant but today I woke up with quite an oily face. Few little spots on my cheeks. I dont think iv ever had oily skin on my face before.

Treaclepie19 · 10/07/2019 21:36

You're all so lovely. Thank you 💕💕
I'm just trying to keep afloat at the min.

So excited to hear about your scans!!!

Abi58 · 10/07/2019 20:49

@RoRosmama yes they are on amazon it puts pressure on a point in your wrist. Might be worth a go does say it works with morning sickness

It is good :)

Oh wow that's gone quickly! I'm 5+4 🙈 yes it is had to move it as travelling to tell my parents that weekend now just hoping I can see something that early! I'll post a pic on weds 😁

Apart from the nausea I'm really tired which when I'm trying to study after work it's not great 😩 so I'm struggling. Been getting cramps and twinges down there and my skin is so oily and spotty! Also so soooo bloated 🙈

Apart from the nausea how are you?

Also @Treaclepie19 I agree 💕

RoRosmama · 10/07/2019 20:22

@Abi58 sea bands? Is that like travel sickness bands?
Yes I need to get some fresh ginger, used to have them religiously when pregnant with DD.
I am now 6+2! Next week we have our scans 😬😬😬 yours is now the 17th is that right? Mine is 20th. How do you feel apart from all the nausea?

@Treaclepie19 I think you're incredibly strong and I'm sending big love your way xx

@RoRosmama sorry you're feeling rubbish hopefully it settles a bit 💕 have you not been sick either just feeling close to it? 😩
I've got it in waves feel slightly nauseous all of the time but get waves of it being quite bad. The other morning I was sure I was going to be sick same yesterday before lunch but nothing yet. Have you tried sea bands? They don't work for everyone but have helped me so far and are under £7 so might be worth a go? Another thing that helped me was fresh ginger slice and a bit of hunny in hot water (settles me more than the biscuits as not as heavy)
It must be a good sign! How far are you now?
I'm good thanks going to have a shower now I'm home 😩 mortified, could understand if I'd been doing something or it was really hit but it wasn't and t was straight after my shower this morning 😩 and my husband can smell it so its not just me 🙈
It's oh so glamorous! Currently fighting off a migraine feeling headache while feeling nauseous hoping the shower will help

@Treaclepie19 sending you lots of hugs 💕 not long til your holiday

Treaclepie19 · 10/07/2019 17:15

Thanks for asking lovely, we don't go until the start of August but it should be here soon enough.
I'm glad we're having a break this month though because I'm struggling a bit with grief from losing our little boy anyway.

Hope you're all okay Flowers

RoRosmama · 10/07/2019 16:34

Hello everyone!
Urgh well I must say I am feeling absolutely horrendous. Trying to look
After DD when I feel this awful is a real challenge. I have CONSTANT nausea. Nothing helps. To be honest I just want to be sick to see if that helps. I'm drinking peppermint tea and I have ginger biscuits. I didn't feel this bad with Rosa at all. All pregnancies are different as they say. Still I'm hoping this is a good sign that baby is strong!
@Abi58 how have you been? My friend was exactly the same with the BO she would constantly complain that she could smell herself and she sweated buckets, I could never smell her though. Pregnancy does all sorts of weird things to our bodies. It's not glamorous at all is it?!
@Kiza @MrsHufflepuffMS good to hear you guys are relaxing and so happy you're still staying in touch xx
@Treaclepie19 how was your holiday?

Abi58 · 10/07/2019 11:20

@Kiza yeah relaxing is a good. Thing 😁🤞🏻

I know 🙈 I googled it and apparently others have noticed the same so I'm not along but this pregnant malarky isn't very glamorous 😂

Kiza · 10/07/2019 11:17

@MrsHufflepuffMS that makes complete sense and will definitely reduce the stress, I'm also slightly relieved we're having a couple of months off from trying as it can be all consuming.
@Abi58 wow that sounds full on! I've never heard of that before?

Abi58 · 10/07/2019 11:01

@MrsHufflepuffMS no need to apologise. Sounds like a great idea, less stress can really help 😁🤞🏻

Also great that you're enjoying it 😁

My update for the day is that I stink....I never have BO and as soon as I got to work I noticed a smell then realised it was me 🙈😩 I showered this morning and used deodorant and was not sweating so all normal but this smell is probably the worst I've smelt
Hoping no one else can smell me 🙈

MrsHufflepuffMS · 10/07/2019 10:23

Hi all, sorry I've been unresponsive,.
I'm really trying to chill out this month. My obsession last month was out of control, which is ironic because I was trying to control everything, I has the app, the ovulation kit, were were having sex everyday and I was tracking every symptom.
This month I don't even know what my cycle day is and I'm not saving my pee for sticks. We have sex when we want and we've upped the rate a little as ..it just feels right. But I'm not obsessing.
Last week I had read everything there was to read about tips to get pregnant and I've kinda ditched it all. Let's see what happens.

Thanks everyone this is a fab group we've made here.

Keep me updated how the pregancy are going, I am reading them!
@Kiza @RoRosmama @Abi58 @Treaclepie19

Abi58 · 09/07/2019 07:04

@Kiza oh thank you I'll have a look 😁

Must've been normal if she wasn't fazed by it ☺️ sounds great that you slept so well!!

Kiza · 09/07/2019 06:11

@Abi58 a friend mentioned some pregnancy sweets she got from eBay that were boiled ginger sweets...maybe worth having a look.
Yeah in my tummy and foot it was like pulling 🤷🏼‍♀️ so weird, the woman didn't seem fazed so I went with it. Slept like a baby last night though!

Abi58 · 08/07/2019 22:42

@Kiza I've been having sliced ginger in hot water and my vitamins have ginger in. Where do you get the boiled sweets from??
That's really good! Did you enjoy it?
That is odd I wonder whether one side is more sensitive?
What do you mean moving? 🙈

Kiza · 08/07/2019 20:59

Sorry about delayed response, for some reason I didn't get a notification?
@Treaclepie19 any holiday is a good holiday and hopefully the way stays lovely for you there!
@Abi58 Argh the nausea sounds awful, have you tried those ginger boiled sweets or ginger or peppermint tea? Some people say it really helps?
The acupuncture wasn't as bad as I thought, the woman was lovely and has a great sense of humour. Thankfully she didn't twizzle the needles as I must be super sensitive as was getting twinges just by her inserting the needles! Weirdly I felt all the needles on my right side but not my left and 2 of the needles were constantly moving whilst in me.
Have another session on Monday.
@RoRosmama How are you getting on?
@SwimmerGirl40 @MrsHufflepuffMS @LA89
How are you all going this cycle? ☺️

Abi58 · 08/07/2019 07:18

@Kiza oh wow! Good luck for today 😁 glad they won't be twizzling!

@Treaclepie19 that sounds lovely ☺️

@RoRosmama how are you feeling? I woke up this morning and felt like I was about to be sick, held it on not even wretched but i don't think it will be long before I have no choice 🤢

Treaclepie19 · 04/07/2019 14:34

@Kiza nope! Only going to Butlins but I just want to be able to relax and not worry about anything.
I'm really looking forward to it though :)

Kiza · 04/07/2019 12:10

@Abi58 I've had acupuncture about 10 years ago for eczema and it worked so well. The needles going in were painless as they are so thin, however sometimes they 'twizzle' the needles to connect to your meridian points. I wouldn't say that was painful but it was an odd sensation that I didn't like so avoided acupuncture because of it.
I've been reading so much about how acupuncture helps TTC that I contacted someone and she said they don't have to 'twizzle' the needles at all so I'm going ahead with it!
Slightly nervous as I hate needles too but from what I remember you honestly don't feel them going in.

Abi58 · 04/07/2019 11:50

@Kiza thank you 😁
Oh wow that sounds like an amazing holiday! And a break might be what the dr ordered 💕 what sort of acupuncture is it? I've always been curious about it but I'm terrified of needles 🙈

@RoRosmama I've had to change my scan day 😩 that weekend is the only time we can travel to my dad to tell him the news so I've had to move it forward to the 17th but I'll share the pic when it's done just hoping. We can see something 😁 and that its healthy!
How are you feeling today?

Kiza · 04/07/2019 11:43

@Abi58 @RoRosmama great news on both your scans and what a coincidence they're on the same day!
@Treaclepie19 a holiday sounds great, are you going abroad?

We're currently looking for flights to Cape Town for new year so now having a couple of months off from TTC.
Have booked an acupuncture session for Monday in the hope that when we do start TTC again it helps, 10 months of TTC feels so long even though I know people say it isn't compared to the majority.

Abi58 · 03/07/2019 17:39

@RoRosmama yes definitely 😁 I'm so excited already!
Haha yes! ...or both of us 😲
