Anyone in the TWW???

Hi everyone,

So as the title says is there anyone in the TWW?
DH and I said we would try for number 2 after summer but whoops we've had a couple of slips. I looked at my ovulation app (which has never failed me before to get pregnant) and both times it was in my fertile days.

So here's the confusion.. I apparently was in my fertile days from 8th-13th June.
13th June being the day of ovulation. We DTD 8th June and 11th June. The last couple of days I have had very bad cramps low down. This can't be implantation yet so was it ovulation pains? My CM was snot like some of it thick but also some of it was slippery too sorry TMI!! am so confused, feeling I've missed the boat.
This TWW is stressful. I've never temped or taken OPK's as it's always been quite easy for me to fall pregnant (I've had a lot of miscarriages Sad)
We are lucky enough to have a DD though.
DH is actually quite excited that we could be pregnant but I just don't know and feeling quite impatient!

Love to hear from you guys and your stories too!

Liv x

@Abi58 I totally get what you mean, like little flutters down there?!
Urgh I feel dreadful ladies! Tickly cough which is driving me nuts and lots of phlegm when I cough up. Also my nose is so stuffy and blocked almost and when I tip my head back I can just feel it all dripping down my throat (SORRY TMI!)

I can't sleep. Literally am feeling so crap right now 😫

@RoRosmama I like the brain MIA I might use that one 😂
Strange you should say cramps and feeling funny. I've got cramps on and off and had a poorly tummy (without being tmi) also had a weird feeling down there, like she has butterflies 😂 does that make sense? It sounds so weird 😂

@Treaclepie19 the odds are stacked against us before we even begin and that's with perfect timing. Sending lots of hugs your way 💕

@RoRosmama
I’m not teary, just quick tempered and have been since Sunday.

I spent all of my 20s avoiding pregnancy and now I appear to be struggling. So frustrating!

SwimmerGirl40 · 18/06/2019 22:31

@Treaclepie19
I’m sorry you’re feeling teary. Try to do something nice for yourself.

RoRosmama · 18/06/2019 21:46

@Treaclepie19 so horrible that you're feeling so glum and teary 😞 I guess it doesn't matter what we do, nature takes it course right, can be so unfair. It is going to happen for us though. I just know it, if not this cycle then soon.
Are you feeling any symptoms? I am feeling strange down there. On and off cramps, am feeling super frustrated and to be honest I just want to cry. Sounds ridiculous right?

Also feeling teary today. So, so teary :(

Treaclepie19 · 18/06/2019 21:30

I look at it like this, I did everything "right" 3 times and have had a miscarriage, a TFMR and a healthy 3yo.
So whatever I do means nothing.

@MrsHufflepuffMS thank you! 🤞🏻 for all of us!

RoRosmama · 18/06/2019 18:12

@SwimmerGirl40 I too had been away on holiday the week before I found out with DD. I was drinking everyday and may have even had a few naughty cigarettes (don't smoke anymore) not gonna lie totally miss it but glad I've quit! My DD is absolutely fine too. I did go to the doctor in tears though because of the amount of alcohol consumed. He laughed at me and said the amount of people that do this and have healthy babies is higher than if you didn't. Didn't like that he laughed at me but he was right!

@Abi58 I'm sorry you had a difficult month last time. Hopefully this month will be it :)

SwimmerGirl40 · 18/06/2019 18:10

I am doing things properly this time. I’m using Flo to track my cycle, checking my cm and using OPKs, as well as taking a pregnacare multi vitamin. I’m also not drinking during the TWW.

RoRosmama · 18/06/2019 18:09

@MrsHufflepuffMS I'm sorry you're feeling teary 😞 it's a stressful time for sure. The not knowing is the worst part and I totally agree with @SwimmerGirl40 that the fact pre-menstrual and early pregnancy symptoms are similar completely sucks!
With all my miscarriages I "just knew" but saying that with DD I had no idea and then my boobs felt really full and that suddenly put the idea in my head that I could be pregnant. We are all different and it affects our bodies in different ways to others. X

I didn’t have a clue with the last one. Unplanned but welcome. I went away the weekend before my period was due and drank too many cocktails. A week later I realised AF hadn’t turned up. DD is fine though, I read loads on FAS at the time and apparently alcohol is fine in the time between fertilisation and implantation.

Abi58 · 18/06/2019 18:00

@RoRosmama yes we can! 😁😁🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻And @LA89

The bath is ok it's just if it's too hot as you'll be hotter while pregnant it's harder to cool down and super overheating 'could' be harmful - not much research on it though and that last comment was from the nhs website about using hot tubs which are a lot hotter than a bath.

@MrsHufflepuffMS I think sometimes you do know but sometimes you don't and everyone is different. I knew last month when I had an early miscarriage I just turned to my husband one evening and said I feel pregnant, tested in the morning and got a positive. Who knows if I'll have a clue next time 😂 could have been fluke.

Maybe you can feel your hormones which are in a very good way this month? 😁

@SwimmerGirl40 agreed!

MrsHufflepuffMS · 18/06/2019 17:59

@SummerGirl40 Totally agree, I feel really teary today :(

SwimmerGirl40 · 18/06/2019 17:54

So frustrating that early pregnancy and premenstrual symptoms are so similar!

MrsHufflepuffMS · 18/06/2019 17:53

@SwimmerGirl40
I've cut pretty much everything out, but I'm sure that's over kill on my part. In regard to a baths, I avoided them pre ovulation because I was worried about the swimmers getting over heated. But based on a lot of research, I think internally we pretty much stay the same temperature. Only problem would be if you have a bath and your slowly raising the temp and its hotter then you think it is. They say avoid things such as jacuzzi when you are pregnant as you get dehydrated quicker?
That's my take on it but I'm probably over thinking it.
@RoRosmamaI I had a bath today and feel much better for it.

Although after like four days I'm STILL getting this spark twinge down on my lower left. I hate not knowing what it is.

Had a long chat with my Mum today and she's still saying when you know you know. Well I thought I knew BEFORE the ovulation test so my woman intuition is clearly broken 🤣

SwimmerGirl40 · 18/06/2019 17:53

@RoRosmama
Good job I only have a standard bath and not a jacuzzi or spa bath. My Sunday wind down usually involves a bath.

RoRosmama · 18/06/2019 17:50

@AcesHigh666 it's so hard to wait though isn't it? I feel ya! I always buy tests around 9/10dpo and the disappointment is always there waiting for me. I got a positive on a clear blue digital with DD at 12dpo which even I think is super early. With the miscarriages I didn't get BFP's until at least 14dpo. That's in no way me saying that later testing will lead to a miscarriage. It just happened to me x

AcesHigh666 · 18/06/2019 17:46

Thanks girls. Tested again today and bfn. Wish I could just wait until 14dpo lol

RoRosmama · 18/06/2019 17:44

@LA89 yes we can test together! 😊

OP posts:
RoRosmama · 18/06/2019 17:43

@SwimmerGirl40 I've heard jacuzzis aren't good. The bath thing I'm not sure about I think it's just hot water. I don't really know. @AcesHigh666 9dpo is still super early you are definitely still in with a chance! @Abi58 yay!! We can test together 😊

Hi everyone, I didn’t realise having a bath could prevent conception?

I have lost weight whilst TTC as I eat really healthily and don’t drink for two weeks every month..,
