Not testing until July

Anyone want some support in holding off with taking pregnancy tests?

My AF is due Tuesday 25th June but I will hold off on testing for two reasons... To avoid disappointment, and also because I have probably got a job interview the following week so would prefer to focus on that before finding out.

To anyone who joins... When is your AF due? And when will you test?

I will probably test on 1st July if no AF has shown up by then.

Glad you have confirmation and can move on at least @ChikiTIKI. Sorry to hear she arrived still though.
Gosh I feel so lucky to have never experienced a mc. They are truely horrendous. You ladies who have are so strong honestly. You definitely all deserve bfps!!! Xxx

Skyla01 · 27/06/2019 21:51

@ChikiTIKI sorry to hear that but glad it's come on proper. And you've saved yourself a test!

ChikiTIKI · 27/06/2019 21:15

Seems like full blown AF now. Feeling sad but also relieved because I don't think I could manage being pregnant with bleeding.

Hoping for you all to get BFPs over the next week or so! Please keep me posted :) xxxx

Thanks @Twitwooo and @Skyla01

Normally when I get AF, it just starts. I'm not one of these people who get lots of spotting beforehand.

Will just have to see what happens I suppose. Going to relax and watch some tv. And have some ice cream :)

I have heard the same about creamy cm!

@Skyla01 I hope your right x

Twitwooo · 27/06/2019 20:39

Oh @ChikiTIKI sorry to hear you're having a stressful time. Try to stay positive and maybe keep your mind off it until you find out if it's af or not. I totally sympathise - with my mc I had some dark brown discharge before my bfp but it was a bit too late to be implementation bleeding... it did clear quite quickly but I went on to have more episodes like that they gradually got worse. My heart still misses a beat every time I go to the toilet because I don't want to see any colour but white.

I know it isn't in the spirit of this thread but if you really are worried I would consider taking a test to help put your mind at ease? Since you said you are already technically late.

Sending hugs!!

Skyla01 · 27/06/2019 20:37

@ChikiTIKI that's tough. I can understand why you want all or nothing. Hopefully (in a way) you'll get full blown af soon.

I've got some cramps now so maybe my af is on the way too.

@mrssunshinexxx I'm not sure, but have definitely seen ladies talk about having lots of creamy cm before getting bfp. Although I suspect it's not very specific.

ChikiTIKI · 27/06/2019 20:27

I did have a bit of blood but it's not every time I wipe. Enough to be convinced it was AF though.

When I had a MC, I ended up taking a test because I got a brown blob of ewcm/old blood (sorry tmi) and then no period.. So I tested and it was positive. Then after a few days I started getting ewcm that was ever so slightly pink tinged. This went on for several weeks and after I got to 7 weeks I went for a scan and they said the baby had probably died. Then they confirmed this another week later. And then I finally had the MC, but it seemed like I was probably further along than 8 weeks.

So to summarise...! I want either no bleeding and a BFP, or AF. And nothing in between! :(

Is white discharge a good sign or does it not really mean anything?

Skyla01 · 27/06/2019 19:40

@ChikiTIKI sorry to hear AF might be on its way. Maybe mine is too- that might explain my nausea!

No tests for any of us! I've had long cycles since stopping the pill & don't know when I ovulated this month (cd43 today) so doing a test wasn't totally crazy. But your right- if I ovulated late might be too early for a test anyway so bit of a waste of time. But I knew that already before I tested.. still did it though. Doh!

mumof1hants · 27/06/2019 19:35

Oh no @ChikiTIKI sorry to hear that. Has she actually appeared yet?

@Skyla01 how many dpi are you? What kind of test was it? May have been to early.

ChikiTIKI · 27/06/2019 19:19

Looks like AF is arriving..... :( I am gutted! I was SURE this time! Bah!

OP posts:
ChikiTIKI · 27/06/2019 18:52

Don't chuck them out @Skyla01 !!

Can I have one? :)

Sorry it's a bfn... Is it too early to get an accurate result though do you think?xxx

OP posts:
Skyla01 · 27/06/2019 18:11

So I felt sick all afternoon. Decided to do a test. Bfn. I'm an idiot! I regret testing now. Don't do it! And after feeling all smug this morning about not testing :( I only have 2 tests left in my pack. Probably best if I chuck them out and don't replace them!

ChikiTIKI · 27/06/2019 17:38

Hi @Twitwooo !! How are you?? Hope you're doing alright and recovered well from your MC. Good to hear from you again. I hope it's a BFP for you this month :)

I thought I was recovering well from my MC at first, I had a period 2 weeks after finally getting a BFN which was about a month since the MC started, but then my cycles were about 2 weeks long, I had 5 periods in 7 weeks and it nearly broke me! And was so physically and mentally exhausted!! I kept thinking I was about to ovulate and then AF showed up. I convinced myself the MC had left me infertile. Had a couple of 30 day cycles since then though and now on the third one, on CD 32.

How suspicious is everyone that they might be pregnant? I am 8/10 suspicious but my husband is only 5/10 suspicious lol. I feel quite convinced this time but I probably always am. Exciting to not have AF yet though!

Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine! Xxxx

Welcome, @Twitwooo! My tests are safely stashed in my desk drawer Grin

Working from home is a blessing and a curse. It's nice because I've been knackered, so I can take naps. But it also gives me plenty of time alone to convince myself that every twinge means i'm pg! Argh.

Twitwooo · 27/06/2019 09:52

Hello everyone,

I was trying to keep myself off 2ww threads and the like to try and take it easy this time around and be more chill about the prospect of pregnancy following a miscarriage in January. But when I saw @ChikiTIKI s name on this I thought it must be a sign (your messages on the miscarriage thread helped me a lot - thank you once again) so here I am.

Af due July 3rd, don't want to test until then at the very earliest. Just see if af comes or not.

We're technically not trying yet - supposed to wait until August, but I put the blame on my birthday followed by Father's Day 🙊. And the fact that if I am pregnant the due date will be a day off what it was when I was pregnant with my dd! We may have caught ovulation in the nick of time or have just missed it. Fine either way!

In terms of symptom spotting, I really am trying my best not to - there are a few changes I am noticing but generally trying to tell myself it could be anything. I don't actually know what it's like to not have symptoms as I got pregnant on the first cycle with my dd and mc so telling myself it will be a refreshing change to perhaps not get it this time around. Or maybe that's just me being a bit apprehensive...

Wishing everyone great restraint! Lock your tests away!

Skyla01 · 27/06/2019 07:44

Hi ladies, glad we're mostly resisting the urge to test! It really isn't long until Monday, hope everyone has fun weekend plans to distract them! I might join you in testing on Monday, but since I'm having a long irregular cycle just now I have no idea when AF is due so might leave it longer. I prefer to have a wee glimmer of hope rather than a horrible bfn!

mrssunshinexxx · 27/06/2019 07:29

@ChikiTIKI in my head I probably do but in reality probably not I keep thinking I feel like I have butterflies

Been really faint this week too (I am anaemic tho )

I'm trying not to stress because apparently it's pretty rare to get actual symptoms before you test

Want Sunday to hurry up and af not to come I think I'll cry if af comes :(

Bezalelle · 27/06/2019 07:20

Morning all!

How's everyone feeling?

I'm feeling quite nauseous, and have a sort of 'stitch' feeling in my lower belly on the right.

Still planning to test on Monday. The tests are in my desk drawer as we speak...

ChikiTIKI · 27/06/2019 07:04

Sorry you're feeling that way @mumof1hants
Lots of people feel like AF is on her way when they get a BFP. Got my fingers crossed for you xxxx
