TTC in August Looking for a BFP

Hi,
Thought I'd start a thread for those of us looking for a BFP in August. I'm ttc #2. Have a DS of 3.3. I'm current on CD15 - OD day - with a bit of luck. Have been bd'ing like mad over my fertile days and will continue to do so for a few more days yet. Then it will just be the 2ww. Anyone else in situation?

fairysnuff - I know exactly what you mean and I'm only at the end of my first month. I'm desperate for period to just FCING turn up! I'm fed up of the period pains!!!

My friend said about OV tests but I'm now quite upset about my first month and roller coaster of symptoms plus reading about so many EP's etc that I think I will stop ttc as such and just stay off the pill.

Keep reading about how long people can take to have a period after coming off the pill. I conceived straight away last time I came off but sadly MC'd but conceived again straight after the 3 months wait post op. I would mush rather wait than that happen again but the wait is agony. Ds is already 4 and half and dh is 46 and he'd really like to not have to wait too long, same as me. I think for peace of mind, I'll go to the Dr's about my family history of VERY early menopause. IF there's a problem, I want to know now and not after months and months of ttc.

Sorry, how depressing was that post - another symptom that AF is on it's way!

fairysnuff · 20/08/2007 13:39

I am desperately trying to resist my ov testers! I bought cheap of ebay too so am not worried about the cost, but am worried about my mounting obsession with ttc
CD11 and my ov tests say to test from CD9 so did one on Saturday and it was negative.
I said to DH that I would leave off until today to test again but I am trying to resist as not showing any signs of oving.
V hard though!!

of these BFP's!!

looneytune · 20/08/2007 12:03

Upsidedowncake - I know. I blame MN for my obsession, if I hadn't seen the TTC threads I probably would have just got on with it. I'm sorry you feel like leaving ttc full stop but I'm sure that will change in time. I couldn't think about it after my operation, but by the time the 3 months had passed (we decided to wait the longest recommended), I was getting better about it and fell pg straight away. I admit that I didn't enjoy the pregnancy with ds, was worried all the time but he was fine. Hard though {{{ hugs }}}

Upsidedowncake · 20/08/2007 10:29

Well done Munchkinmum. Fab.

Looney. I hate those bl**dy things. In some ways when you already have a dc, it's such a shock when tings don't work out perfectly the second time, isn't it? At the moment, that's putting me off even considering ttc again. (Early days, I know.)

There should be a smiley for fingers crossed, Bellie. How are you feeling now?

looneytune · 20/08/2007 08:57

Well this first month alone has done my head it as never TTC like this before, just came off the pill and got on with it. Anyway, after 6 months of trying, well, you just must be SOOOOO pleased to finally get there. Well done xxx

munchkinmum · 20/08/2007 08:55

6 months. Sounds like a lifetime the way that I've been whinging on.....!

Bit shocked really.

Thanks looneytunes!

Have got to dash off now - get me and ddv dressed.

Will deffo be on tonight to chat
xxxxxxx

looneytune · 20/08/2007 08:53

YIPPEEEEEEEEEEE

CONGRATS!!!

How long were you TTC?

munchkinmum · 20/08/2007 08:48

erm -morning all.

Am a lurker and occassional poster on this thread but not posted for a while as I felt that TTC was really getting on top of me.

AF late and tested this morning - hell's bells. A BFP!

Just wanted Mumsnet to be the first to know as even though I have not posted much it has given me such support lately.

Love to you all
Munch

looneytune · 20/08/2007 08:24

Bellie - oh no, well as you say, it aint over til it's over

I'd like to think the same way but I've got no feeling at all of being pregnant, not had sore boobs for at least a week, al symptoms gone apart from white spots on boobs but that's probably from hormones after coming off the pill. I DO feel like AF is coming, checked my cervix after lesson from TLSM and it's low down and hard which suggests not pg I'm soooo stupid, I've used 7 tests in this first month alone. It's only because they were VERY cheap from ebay and therefore cost doesn't matter. I deffo wouldn't have done that if they were the price of the pee on stick ones you get at the shops!

I actually want my period to arrive, I know it's coming and the sooner the better to get it all out of the way! And next month, I'm going to try and avoid counting days, checking anything, just going to do the business when we want to and TRY and not think about the fact we're ttc.

Bellie · 20/08/2007 08:14

loveangel but now you can focus on the next month is the way that I have to look at it.

LT - you still never know - it ain't over till it's over!

Upsidedown - glad to hear that you are getting support xx

BFN this morning - but still no signs!! loveangel - looks like I am following in your footsteps!

Have a good day all x

looneytune · 20/08/2007 07:50

Loveangel I'll be joining you soon! [winkn]

Bellie - Good Luck

TLSM - agree with upsidedowncake

USDC - hope you are coping ok and the other thread has been good for support. Thinking of you x

looneytune · 20/08/2007 07:47

I'm soooooo stpuid!!! Just wasted ANOTHER test just because I didn't get my period yesterday. FFS, I KNOW it's coming, I can feel it and everything suggests it's coming BUT because when I was on the pill I would always get it on the Sunday, I decided to test Of course you know the result .

Don't let me test any more!! I just need to wait for it to arrive, after all, this is the first month post pill so I should expect a different cycle!!!

at myself!

Upsidedowncake · 19/08/2007 18:53

Hello there

I've been hanging out on the Lcy thread with the other people in my situation - figured it was better to leave this as a conception thread.

But I have been keeping up with everyone's news.

Oooh The Little soldiers mummy - that is really good news! Fab. Your line should get stronger every day as you get more and more hormone! Not that you should spend the money ...

LT - good luck

Love angel - sorry about your AF. all the best for next month.

Scorpio - lovely to see you back

and Bellie - good luck for tomorrow. Got my fingers crossed for you.

LoveAngel · 19/08/2007 18:04

Hi Ladies - just a quick update. Got my AF a whole week late (and after doing 5 pregnancy tests!). Bloody hell...my emotions have been all over the place this week. I can't go through this again next month so just going to relax and maybe take a month or two 'off' thinking about ttc - whatever happens happens, eh? Good luck to all of you and hope to hear lots of good news from you all v soon :-) xxx

Ambi · 19/08/2007 17:45

Hey scorpio - SOOO HAPPY FOR YA! Congrats on your BFP. We started on these TTC threads together, and I've been looking for updates on everyone, and am pleased to say that I hardly recognise any names on the TTC boards (which can only be a good thing).

So does that make you due in March? - My maths is rubbish, nice time of year...

looneytune · 19/08/2007 17:14

TLSM - I'm still waiting for my period but it's got to be coming as it feels like it. Can I just ask about the cervix checking??? (saw yoou mention on other thread) What examples can you give of what things mean? I also saw someone mention checking CM inside? ANYTHING anyone can tell me would be great. I've never checked before but just did and I presume it's what you call hard and low? and it's milky lotion like (sorry tmi). Just fancy knowing what some of you others obviously do!!! Presuming all this confirms it's on it's way? And it hurts more now

looneytune · 19/08/2007 17:11

That's what I thought but didn't want to be the one to say it in case I was wrong BUT........CONGRATULATIONS

Bellie · 19/08/2007 17:03

thelittlesoldiersmummy - they say that a positive is a positive - congratulations

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 19/08/2007 13:40

Right well am conpletely confused thought AF was coming last night have had odd cycles last month 28 the month before 30 am day 29 today anyway went to the loo last night and wiped there was a very small amount of red blood so thought that was that so put a pad in but when I got up this morning there was no more blood went for a wee then checked my cervixs it has gone high and soft and no sign of anymore blood so did a sainsburys test and there was the fainted line ever hold up to the light faint but deff there as my DH could see it so I went to tescos and bought a clearblue and came home and tested and there is a faint positive on that as well again really faint so what does this mean am I or not

Am CD 23 and expecting AF on 25th August. Have a DS of just over 1 and have been TTC for 2 months.

Bellie · 19/08/2007 09:58

Bellie · 18/08/2007 15:05

Have a lovely evening tonight ladylush

ladylush · 18/08/2007 11:04

Scorpio it's lovely to hear from you and I think you are right about it happening because you were relaxed. What CD were you when you tested? According to my ov sticks I'm supposed to test from CD6 - sounds way too early imo. Still spotting from period. Think I'll leave it today and try from tomorrow or next day.

Hi everyone else. Tomorrow is our 7th wedding anniversary but it will be 17 together as we met in 1990 so we had many years together before having children which was great but now I'm having trouble making #2 it seems like some cruel karma.

Anyway, we're off out tonight. My mum is babysitting so we're off to the bar and restaurant
