TTC in August Looking for a BFP

Hi,
Thought I'd start a thread for those of us looking for a BFP in August. I'm ttc #2. Have a DS of 3.3. I'm current on CD15 - OD day - with a bit of luck. Have been bd'ing like mad over my fertile days and will continue to do so for a few more days yet. Then it will just be the 2ww. Anyone else in situation?

Tigerschick, they're near the geese on Aylestone rd, very close to the tigers ground! Jealous?!!!!!!!

I'm going to do another test tomorrow, DH is off work so we can sit and analyse it together.
The 1st one I did was a digital clearblue, the 2nd a cheapy tesco one. The tesco one's line hasn't actually gone any darker throughout the day (yes I am that sad, kept them both on the side and kept looking at them both through the day!) so maybe it's only a faint line anyway?
I'll keep you posted!

moodymoo · 31/07/2007 18:54

knitter - done any more tests yet?? Can I uncross my fingers and toes yet?? Do i get to use the envious icon yet??
Know what you mean about the jealousy thing, hate seeing other pregnant people but can't help staring at them if I do see them. And I feel as through am being stalked by Myleen Klass - cos she is on every bloody tv programme and in every magazine and paper going at the mo - flaunting her baby bump around - don't think there is anyone left on this planet who doesn't know she is pg!! well got that one off my chest - dh just laughs at me when I spot her on something. Irrational I know but just can't control it.

Now I am definatly giving up my cheapo nastyo opk's - hate them - they tell lies. Suppose you get what you pay for .

Tigerschick - your dogs are really cute - now are they working dogs cos they look rather clean ( dh's sister is married to a farmer and have never seen their dogs looking that clean).
Would love a dog but have a cat who hates me instead - she is a daddys girl. Wouldn't mind but it's me who feeds her .

Am going back to work 2moro after 5 months sick leave and am feeling sick just thinking about it. Hate my boss and am worried she might try and discipline me for being off.

am going now - dh is taking me out for a meal to make up for lack of present. Very much mistaken if he thinks that will cover it - got my own plans for how he is going to make it up to me...

tigerschick · 31/07/2007 18:38

Oooh - are they in Leicester? I live about half way between Leicester and Uppingham. We've been here for just over 2 years. I also lived in Oakham for 2 years from 94-6.
Dead excited - our new season tickets arrived today

KnitterInTheNW · 31/07/2007 18:30

Very cute dogs indeed!

Tigerschick, I'm a fellow Leicester-ite originally! Born & bred, lived there til I was 22, mum & dad & sis all still there.

tigerschick · 31/07/2007 18:16

Oooh! Hope you get confirmation of that bfp very soon

I've added pictures of my dogs to my profile - they are really cute, even if I do say so myself

KnitterInTheNW · 31/07/2007 11:45

I'm painting the hallway grinning like a loon. And scared in case I got it wrong. I've been jealous of every pg woman and ones with newborns I've seen for years, so it's my turn now, surely!

There was also the whole 'what if one of us can't' thing with me & DH, cos neither of us have ever tried before.

Fingers crossed!

And for everone else too. x

LittleSquirt · 31/07/2007 11:30

Congrats Knitter, sooooooo excited for you. And also a little bit [env]. But mainly happy!

Happy b'day MoodyMoo!!! Would be great if you conceived LO on your birthday!!!

moodymoo · 31/07/2007 11:07

Knitter - that's great news - am sure they say that even a faint line is a positive - You should get one of the clearblue digital ones - they tell you a yes or no without any might be's. Definatly worth the money. Will check in later and see if any update.
Tigerschick - thats just what I was thinking - dh will soon regret not getting me anything cos am going to demand loads of bd'ing and he can't say NO - ha ha. Will let him off the hook this time if I get a BFP at the end of this month - that would be the best present he could give me - no pressure or anything.
Have a good day and will try and pop back on later x

Happy birthday moodymoo!

I went upstairs earlier and spooted the test stick on the side and went to throw it away, and noticed a + in the window. Read the instructions properly and realised I probably didn't give it long enough but didn't know if the + had developed before or after the 10 minutes. Been to tesco to get some of their sticks and did one when I got home, and there's definately a faint line. Due AF between today and Friday so still a maybe!!! Retract all those frowny faces for the time being please!

tigerschick · 31/07/2007 10:21

Happy Birthday Moodymoo It's my niece's birthday today too, and my cousin, and JK Rowling, and Harry Potter!! What a busy day!!

at your dh!! At least you can hold it over him and demand sex

moodymoo · 31/07/2007 09:43

Knitter , will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you.

How is everyone else today? The sun is shining and I intend to go out and enjoy it. It's my b'day today and even though I haven't had a single card or present yet - dh forgot!!! - and he isn't joking - am going to enjoy it. Off out for pizza with my friend and her little girl later and then dh has some making up to do so he'd better be taking me somewhere nice tonight. Had loads of texts though - but they are just not the same as a card.

On the plus side I am cd13 so should be getting the big O any time. Don't think dh is in any position to deny me loads of bd at the moment!!

tigerschick · 31/07/2007 08:56

Oh, I'm so sorry knitter.
Fingers crossed that you get a bfp very soon.

KnitterInTheNW · 31/07/2007 07:27

I tested this morning, CD28,before DH went to work and it was a BFN. Will do it again in a few days if F hasn't arrived. sigh

moodymoo · 30/07/2007 22:58

Tigerschick - that is so funny - just what I was picturing!!

Got to confess DH actually gave up alcohol off his own back - can't take the credit for that one. I haven't had alcohol since I got pg last november. Would have been easy to start drinking again when we lost the baby but felt it best not to go down that route. Anyway DH decided that if im not drinking then he isn't either - the goal is that the next aloholic drink we have will be a glass of champagne toasting a new baby.
Dh loves fruit and veg so pile it up high - bit of a green theme going on though to try and keep the folic acid topped up. Everything comes served with broccoli in our house - and mint sauce cos I don't actually like bloody broccoli that much!! wander if it can be juiced cud at least try to mask it with fruit - actually that just sounds yuck.
Going to go now cos dh is looking over my shoulder trying to see what I am saying about him.

libralady · 30/07/2007 22:17

I'm lucky, DH doesn't drink really, or have much coffee, although the problem is he smokes, (as do I a small amount) eats no fruit and hardly any veg, (whereas I like most) and he get's his caffeine kicks from copius amounts of coke..........what can you do? When we were tested 4 years ago, he got the all clear, whereas it was me who had the problem with PCOS.

ladylush · 30/07/2007 20:56

I've asked dh to cut down on his friday all nighters when we are ready to try again, but only in the crucial week iyswim

Bellie · 30/07/2007 20:54

Rofl!!!

DH not abstaining from alcohol yet, although if we go for a couple of more months without a BFP we will definately be at that stage!

His arguement against abstinance is that we were both p*ssed as newts when we conceived dd!

tigerschick · 30/07/2007 20:50

ROFL Can't believe you can actually buy this!!

My dh will just about agree to have sex on demand! Forget taking vitamins and juice ... and if I suggested leaving off the coffee or booze!! Not that he drinks masses of either.

ladylush · 30/07/2007 20:46

giggling away here. Dh takes zinc tablets. I don't ask him to do much else. He doesn't drink much coffee (by the way, I heard that coffee makes the sperm swim faster - which is a good thing but maybe too much affects the quality of the sperm) A cup of coffee pre sex might help though

Bellie · 30/07/2007 20:40

yes it was a repeat on BBC2 last week sometime - sorry to be vague

moodymoo · 30/07/2007 19:20

''Supersperm - coming to an egg near you..''

Tigerschick - ROFL - just needs a cape ...

moodymoo · 30/07/2007 19:16

Was the vic reeves programme a BBC one? I missed it but SIL told me about it - found some info on bbc website about it though.
DH is happy about the prospect of getting more juiced fruit though - so will be going to the shops to stock up 2moro.

tigerschick · 30/07/2007 19:07

super sperm
