TTC in August Looking for a BFP

Hi,
Thought I'd start a thread for those of us looking for a BFP in August. I'm ttc #2. Have a DS of 3.3. I'm current on CD15 - OD day - with a bit of luck. Have been bd'ing like mad over my fertile days and will continue to do so for a few more days yet. Then it will just be the 2ww. Anyone else in situation?

This sounds like a lucky thread. Congratulations to ladylush and upsidedowncake! Please send some baby dust my way.

My anniversary was 2 months ago but my first baby was conceived around my anniversary.

ronshar · 07/08/2007 10:55

Yipee to you both Scorpio and upsidedown cake, sending lots of Leo luck your way!!(Its my birthday this week).
If you are due in April you will have a fire sign baby. Watch out for them.

kensgirl · 07/08/2007 10:47

YEY!!!

Congrats to Upsidedowncake too!

I hope these August BFP's are contagious! Particuarly liking Tigers theory about Anniversary antics.....It was ours on Sunday!

scorpio1 · 07/08/2007 10:32

daydreamer1 · 07/08/2007 09:48

Hi, I'd like to join you all if that's ok. I'm TTC no 2 and have 2.5 year old. I'm CD 4. How is everyone getting on?

AussieSim · 07/08/2007 05:15

Congratulations Scorpio and Upsidedowncake. Why pretend I am not though ?

Upsidedowncake · 06/08/2007 21:49

oooh good luck Bellie.

You know when I was at school, about half our form were born in April or May. Not just a popular month for anniversaries, eh?

tigerschick · 06/08/2007 21:22

Ta ladylush

August is a very popular month for getting wed - hence the plethora of anniversaries. I have a stack of 'Happy Anniversary' cards to post over the next few weeks. Any anniversary sex - I mean for more than 'pleasurable' purposes?

ladylush · 06/08/2007 21:17

YAY So delighted for you Scorpio (long time coming) and Upsidedowncake. Don't leave the thread yet, want to savour all the details of your early pregnancy symptoms

Glad you had a lovely holiday Scorpio

Have a great one in the Caribbean Kensgirl

Good luck with the clomid tigerschick

Happy anniversaries to all of us - my 7th is next sunday but it will be 17 years together as we met in 1990.

tigerschick · 06/08/2007 20:45

Oh WOW!!

CONGRATULATIONS Upsidedownsidecake

Bellie · 06/08/2007 20:11

congrats to you both

day 17 here had my smiley face on Saturday on the OPK so now playing the waiting game!

Had my appointment today and am now booked into for a hysteroscopy and cervical cryocautery on 26th Sept (unless I get a BFP before then!!) Hopefully we will start to resolve my problems with bleeding and focus on ttc!!

Upsidedowncake · 06/08/2007 20:01

I think the dates are right. I turned into the horn monster when I ovulated ... dh making remarks about sex slaves and so on.

And then dh was away and then I didn't feel like it as I was so knackered.

I didn't get a bhp with ds1 until cd37. He was induced at 42 weeks and still took three days to come, so maybe I just make very late babies?

I reckon there's a lot of baby dust around this month for everyone else. Good luck.

moodymoo · 06/08/2007 19:50

Congratultaions to you both Am sooo happy for you both.
There's going to be no one left on here at this rate!! Hope there are still some BFP's up for grabs this month.

scorpio1 · 06/08/2007 19:49

ahh! Good luck! 22 days though....are dates right??

Upsidedowncake · 06/08/2007 19:47

Thanks Scorpio. dc2 - ds1 is 21 months.

The bfp took a colossal 22 days after ovulation to show up.

scorpio1 · 06/08/2007 19:33

yay!!

what dc and how long has it taken??

im v nosey! congrats!

Upsidedowncake · 06/08/2007 19:27

Scorpio. That's really great news.

There's obviously something in the Augustan air because ...
.
.
.
.

I just did too!

My symptoms just wouldn't go away. I bought another stash (there is a two for one offer in our Boots!), and had a Clear blue faint line this morning ...

Here's to a happy August for everyone else.

scorpio1 · 06/08/2007 18:55

i am cd32 though....just dp hates early testing! (he not cross though!) just bought another test and its true!

boozle · 06/08/2007 18:47

OMG - C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S Scorpio1, I am so pleased for you!

(But can you just run over that bit again about not testing until the weekend?!)

tigerschick · 06/08/2007 16:52

I was wondering if you had told him yet.

Dd was 35 weeks. That was a bit of a surprise

scorpio1 · 06/08/2007 16:50

wow, that is a big difference! both my dcs were born at 39 weeks

when i had ds2, he was born 17 days before my 20th birthday. that was a quiet one, obv!

dp was like 'ohmygod' and really happy, but wanting to tell his mate so much! he is really shocked and happy

tigerschick · 06/08/2007 16:48

That's a couple of weeks before my birthday
Dd was due on 17th April - but came on 13th March - which just shows how much we should rely on EDDs!

scorpio1 · 06/08/2007 16:38

12 april by dates. i oved on cd19 though, so i think they will put me back a bit when i have a scan at 12 weeks, but its all fine

tigerschick · 06/08/2007 16:36

Ooh - when do you think you will be due?

scorpio1 · 06/08/2007 16:35

yeah yeah, i bet you do!

i will prob go in a few weeks-im an old timer at this now! (at 22!) around here you dont have boking in appt until 10 weeks, so a while to go! if dates correct, im due on my dddf birthday!
