@Lozzlepop Ha I know!! I don’t get it all the time with AF but sometimes I get like a numbness in my legs right before, and it always always means I have awful painful cramps 🤒 But if I can just get it out of the way before our holiday next week I’ll be delighted!
Yep - DH often works a split day so will start at 6am and not be done til 9pm with a short break in the afternoon, which is a pain when trying. There have been times when I’ve tactfully ‘worked from home’ to make the most of lunch breaks!!

Lozzlepop · 16/06/2019 21:50

@MrsEG tingly legs 😂 that’s a new one! fingers crossed she’s on her way so you can put it behind you and move forward! Yeah mine was much heavier than normal which took me by surprise! I think we should be ok for tomorrow night but as we approach midweek sleep may be favourable 😂

MrsEG · 16/06/2019 21:46

@Lozzlepop CD30, my cycles are usually 26-28 days but post MC have been 5 weeks so anytime now really, I’m just waiting for it! Getting tingly legs tonight now as well which usually means she’s on her way (and that it’ll be a bad one! 😫). Ha it’s SO annoying when work gets in the way of DTD!

@Kiza Enjoy the cuddles - honestly being an auntie is the best!

@Larrydavid I think you've made a good decision! You could always postpone a wedding til after baby arrived too if you get lucky over the next few months :)

@Daisydoodles92 I really like mine, you get an awful lot of information out of it and I just can’t do normal temping as I wake up at a different time pretty much every day as mine and DH have weird schedules. It’s nice to just pop it on and go to sleep and it’s just all there for you in the morning!

@ELW85 8DPO would have been insanely early so I think you’ve made a good choice there. 10 at the earliest for me and I usually wait til 12 to save the squinting and second guessing. Here’s hoping this week moves fast for you!

Lozzlepop · 16/06/2019 21:38

@MrsEG what CD are you just now hun? Sorry to hear DH is having a sad day today, it’s tough for our partners too, I hope he feels better soon! Thanks SMEP has gone well so far but mainly because DP has been off and it’s been the weekend, once the 6am starts resume tomorrow it might not be so easy 😬

@ELW85 it’s been a pretty chilled day, DP was ok but has serious Sunday blues as it’s his first day back after the hol! Glad to her Caroline is making herself at home ☺️

@Larrydavid good luck with SMEP I’m currently CD13 with no positive OPK yet so back to DTD tomorrow and hoping for a positive on Tuesday as I’m not sure we have the stamina 😂 I would say you have made a good decision as you can get married at any time in your life but having a baby is time limited, I would love to get married or even engaged 😂 maybe one day!

Kiza · 16/06/2019 21:34

@Larrydavid @Daisydoodles92 @MrsEG thanks, I'll soak in all the cuddles I can with my nephew.
Hope everyone has a better start to the week ☺️

ELW85 · 16/06/2019 21:34

@Larrydavid - she is and she knows it, haha!
FWIW, I think you’ve made the right decision about putting trying ahead of the wedding.
We waited til we got married and it’s taking longer than we imagined and I’m very aware of my age (34). Everyone is different though, as long as you two are happy, that’s all that matters :)

Larrydavid · 16/06/2019 20:59

Evening all, hope everyone is well. I've spent my weekend surrounded by kids (literally 16 of them, plus two pregnant women!) it was lovely and exhausting in equal measure!

I start opk testing again tomorrow which I'm feeling pretty good about - like I have control of the situation again. We were in a slight predicament about what to do first, wedding or baby but we've decided to really try on the baby front for the next few months then make a decision. I think it's the right one as we originally started trying because we didn't want to leave it too late in case we found out we had issues (or just because it can take ages!) and we're not getting any younger.

@ValidUser Glad you're feeling upbeat! Hope the injections work this month!

@ELW85 Caroline is a babe!

@Lozzlepop I just looked up smep- I'm trying it this month!

@MrsHufflepuffMS I'm probably on my own on this one but I recommend the clear blue opks - fool proof!

@MrsEG Ahh that's crappy about your partner feeling bad around Father's Day. Everyone is prone to bad days I guess, hopefully he'll feel better in a day or two.

@kiza I know what you mean about cuddling other babies. I felt so happy for our friends who were pregnant but definitely wished that I was too.

Daisydoodles92 · 16/06/2019 20:57

Sorry I've taken a while to reply...already done it once lost it and gave up 😂
@MrsH497 sounds like you have had an awful time, I'm not surprised you are feeling down. It's bad enough in the comfort of your own home never mind when you're away. If I was you I probably wouldn't expect AF until at the very least 23rd June. I really get how you are feeling, feels like you cant move on doesn't it. You will be so relieved when it finally comes but for now look after yourself. I hope she comes soon for you x
@MrsEG I'm debating whether to get an Ava, do you recommend? Temping is such a pain isn't it, such a small task but the slightest thing can affect it.
@ValidUser so glad to see you are seeing some positives. Really hate seeing everyone feeling down because it's so relatable. Makes you think about how many women actually go through this torture.
@Kiza I'm sorry such a joyful moment is so bittersweet for you. You will get yours and just think of it this way, that will be your moment and you wont have to share it x

flossy12 · 16/06/2019 20:54

@Kiza @MrsEG thank you ladies ☺️☺️you've put my mind at rest, I'll wait a feee days and do an opk again, going to try get DTD every day or every other day from now until AF due date x

ELW85 · 16/06/2019 20:39

@Lozzlepop - definitely well done on the SMEP!! I hope your Sunday was nice and DP wasn’t too groggy :)
Caroline is certainly making herself right at home!

@MrsEG - I’m sorry to hear DH had a bad day today. Totally understandable, and I’m sure you’ve done an amazing job in supporting each other.
The Asian food was awesome and more tapas style...still completely stuffed!

I held off testing and am at 8DPO, so if AF doesn’t rear her ugly head on Wednesday, I’ll test.
I’m trying not to symptom spot but I’ve noticed that I’ve had heartburn twice in the past couple of days and have really weirdly been waking up with a dry mouth for the past couple of mornings.
Of course, I could just be coming down with something!! It’s the TWW so ALL logic is out of the window 😂

MrsEG · 16/06/2019 20:25

Whoops totally missed a bunch of other posts!!

@Lozzlepop You’re doing fab with the SMEP!!

@ELW85 Asian food sounds amazing - I’ve eaten a LOT this weekend but just now filling up Tupperware healthy lunches for the week! I know as soon as AF hits I’ll be needing a lot of chocolate so if I can at least make sure my meals are healthy I’ll feel a lot better!

@ValidUser Well done with the windfall!! Hope all goes well with the gynaecologist.

@Kiza Fanta Grape is amazing. We do our shopping online at Ocado as I get a discount via Vitality, and they have it on there. I have seen it in a Sainsburys too though! Hope the move has gone well, and congrats on being an Aunty! I know the feeling - my sister has a 1 year old. I bloody adore her and just cannot wait to have my own!

@MrsHufflepuffMS Hello! Take your conception vitamins, and try to just relax through it all. It can take over your life if you let it!!

MrsEG · 16/06/2019 20:19

@flossy12 I’ve heard (from the lovely ladies on this thread!) that you get EWCM a few days before you ovulate so it just means you’re going in to your fertile window, you’ll probably ovulate in a few days :)

Still no AF for me; I’m so convinced she’s coming (cramps, enormous boobs) but nothing yet. Just want her here and over and done with before we go to the Lakes next month!!

Hope everyone had a lovely Sunday. Poor DH got a bit upset earlier with it being Father’s Day, which made me feel awful. Think he’s just having his own bad day. We’ve powered through it with pizza and brownies!

Kiza · 16/06/2019 20:15

@flossy12 yes that's a negative opk, I often get EWCM during my period and most days leading up to ovulation so for me EWCM doesn't pinpoint my day of ovulation but helps me to know I'm in my fertile window so I start dtd.
If your fertile window is due to start tomorrow then I would advise start dtd as of tomorrow and if you can try to dtd every other day until af least a couple of days after a +opk (I only just discovered a +opk is an indication that your due to ovulate 12-36 hours after a +opk).
Hope that helps?

This a bit clearer

flossy12 · 16/06/2019 20:07

The faintest line ever on this OPK would this be negative?

flossy12 · 16/06/2019 19:59

Need some advice girls

Finished my period on the 8th of June, due to be fertile week from the 17th according to flow, today I've had a noticeable amount of EWCM when I've been to the toilet and wiped, could it be that I've ovulated this early? Worried because we DTD yesterday but hadn't done it since the 11th , have I missed it?

Kiza · 16/06/2019 19:32

@MrsHufflepuffMS try not to let the TWW drive you mad! Haha although it has me a couple of times and it was not something I was expecting or had been warned about by any of my friends either 🤦🏼‍♀️ try to keep yourself busy and occupied during this time if possible 😄

MrsHufflepuffMS · 16/06/2019 18:24

Hi all this is my first cycle trying. Any advice?Smile

ELW85 · 16/06/2019 18:07

@ValidUser - you really do have such an awesome attitude and it’s great that you’ve got a wonderful support network in place :)
Pleased to hear you’re doing well!

@purplefig - she’s so cute! She’s a proper little cuddle monster 😂

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday! We’re not long in from the coast - full and sleepy (as Sunday’s should be!)

Kiza · 16/06/2019 15:36

Hi Ladies, been a bit quite last couple of days due to moving house and thank goodness we had a 3 hour break from the rain whilst loading and unloading the van!

@MrsEG that sounds so lovely what your DH did for you, such a sweet gesture too! I've not come across grape Fanta so may have to keep my eye out!

@MrsH497 Sorry to hear you were having a rough day yesterday. My first MC took around 6-7 weeks for AF to come back, it's awful though as you say you just want to start feeling 'normal' again. How are you feeling today?

@ValidUser Ahhh that sucks about your AF being so heavy! How's it today? And yeah great news about the minor windfall ☺️

I'm now at the beginning of my TWW, we tried so hard to stick to SMEP this month but with moving it threw us out a little, oh well fingers crossed!
My sister gave birth to her adorable baby boy last weekend and I'm so ecstatic for her but just know that when I cuddle him next week it'll be a combination of pure love and joy mixed with a tinge of sadness and the wonderings of 'when will I have my own bundle of joy to cuddle'

Fivebyfive2 · 16/06/2019 13:22

@Validuser, I love your positive attitude. Still got everything crossed that you get your bfp soon. Good news about the windfall too! Xxxx

ValidUser · 16/06/2019 11:58

Thanks @MrsEG and @Lozzlepop and @ELW85! (And anyone I've missed.)

I'm feeling positive. I'll keep being healthy and looking after myself. DH is wonderful and I have supportive friends.

The meds aren't too bad. Seeing my gynaecologist soon.

Minor windfall at work (getting course money back), so that'll be good for the IVF fund!

@ELW85 Caroline 😍😍😍 what a cutie!!

ELW85 · 16/06/2019 09:45

Morning all!

Thanks for the film tip, @MrsEG and Caroline’s first night was loud (her and other bunny were thumping in communication) but fine :) she looks pretty chilled this morning!

I hope everyone has a lovely Sunday - we’re going to the beach near us as it’s a glorious day - going to have some nice pan-Asian food :)

Lozzlepop · 16/06/2019 09:00

@ELW85 so glad to see Caroline is home with you, she is just adorable!

@ValidUser sorry that AF is being a little bitch! Onwards and upwards for the next cycle!

@MrsH497 lovely, a bit of pampering always brightens my spirits. Hope you enjoyed the gin!

@MrsEG aww that sounds lovely, what a fantastic hubby you have! ☺️

How was everyone’s Saturday’s? We needed up at the in laws to drop down a Father’s Day present and never left until 10:30 🤦🏽‍♀️ DP has a few wines despite saying he was off the booze but luckily we managed to DTD in the afternoon 😂 so SMEP continues 👌🏻 OPKs still negative but have a feeling I’m due to OV around Tuesday based on pre MC cycles! Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday 😃
