Oops - helps if I put the placemarking post on the new thread!

Place marking on another new thread. Not sure what the situation is this month as all a bit strange in the aftermath of friends miscarriage. Af due next week and fully expecting her but also feeling knackered and a bit queasy but generally evenings only and very stressed with work right now - could be anything and am not too hopeful but will see what happens and pick up the ball again in June if needed!

Tashdreams · 04/06/2019 22:00

Just marking my place 😊

CD5, cycle 5?ish trying since sept 2018, MMC in March.

I'm a big believer in temping, I'm finding it quite reliable. Plus the opks seem to be fairly reliable for me so going to keep at it!

@PaintingOwls my AF has been quite similar - over far quicker than I expected, CD5 today and very light spotting.

@Snuggs19 welcome along 😊😊

@Leodot ah the wait is just so frustrating isn't it? This is such a lovely supportive group, we're all striving for the same thing & it's lovely to speak with like minded people who have the same highs and lows. I'm a firm believer in positive thinking 😊

Lozzlepop · 04/06/2019 21:39

@PippaPug we fly out tomorrow morning, actually cannot wait!!!! Hope everyone has a fantastic week- will try and check in Friday and will keep my fingers crossed for some BFPs

MrsEG · 04/06/2019 20:53

@purplefig Wellll, I figure I have a few weeks off given we aren’t trying this month, so I’ve been back at the gym in a big way the past week - mostly spin class, but DH has done me a training programme too. Also running again 3 times a week. That’s the biggest part - I’ve struggled to keep it up with the stress of the losses but I’m so keen to get back to it, and I know it will do me the world of good. Trying to be a ‘good’ veggie again too - I find it too easy to just slip up and eat fish whenever I can’t find something on a menu I want! So really making the effort - food prepped last night my fridge is FULL of Tupperware! Also ordered all my fave herbal teas off Teapigs, and aiming for a few cups and then at least 2 litres ‘regular’ water a day. No booze at all, had plenty the last few days so that’s off the menu too! Also getting back in to my morning smoothies - usually just fruit and water but an extra hit of vits!! And if that wasn’t all enough, making sure I’m in bed by 10 every night - I’ll be a new woman this time next month haha!!

It stems a bit from friends recently telling me that they missed exercise and healthy food when pregnant as the nausea just kept them at home eating crisps. So I wanna make the most of it!!

purplefig · 04/06/2019 20:45

@MrsEG oooo tell me about your health kick!

MrsEG · 04/06/2019 20:35

@PippaPug Oh wow, congrats!! It’s totally your own decision, but oh my word I could not have been sober at my wedding haha! Needed 3 glasses of Prosecco just to get myself down the aisle! It was SUCH a good party too. Like I say, your decision - but if it was me I’d 100% take a month off for your wedding! Enjoy every second of it!

@Plattsy88 I feel like it’s everywhere I turn - 4 ex colleagues and myself all got married last year and they are all now expecting/have announced on Facebook. I try to just stay positive and hopeful that I know one day soon I’ll get to join them! It’s a funny one - you’re so happy for your friends, especially given how ruddy hard the whole TTC business is - but it’s hard not to yearn to be in their position! FX for you for this cycle, I’m back on a real health kick this month too :)

PippaPug · 04/06/2019 20:28

@MrsEG - did you manage to clear your emails out in the end? Or is that for another day! Some days at work are really quiet of the little one I look after has a couple of mega naps and I have no cooking to do, other days are mayhem so I don’t have a chance to check my phone!

Has anyone postponed TTC just for one month for a occasion or event?
I’m only in cycle two just but I’m thinking about pausing this cycle as such as due to get married next month and not sure how I will be feeling, we were going to start TTC after the wedding but I wasn’t impatient, but now I’m thinking maybe just pause for one month, till after the wedding, I’m not sure Confused according to my apps I’m ovulating the night of the wedding so would be just one month I would pause it for, just unsure!

Plattsy88 · 04/06/2019 20:19

@PippaPug thank you

@MrsEG no it doesn't :( , and Facebook seems to be full of pregnancy announcements and baby showers. Being 30 it means a lot of my friends are now having babies and some are even on their second. Doesn't feel fair. Well I'm going to try and feel positive, a new cycle so a fresh start. I'm off to boots tomorrow to get more ovulation sticks in prep. Going to try and be healthier as well. So FX this next cycle is it.

MrsEG · 04/06/2019 20:11

@Plattsy88 Hello, and so sorry about AF! Never ever gets easier does it?! How are you feeling about this next cycle?

@Leodot I have booked a private fertility MOT as I have had 3 recurrent miscarriages now and didn’t want to wait for my NHS appointment, and my GP hasn’t been too helpful. Also found out the gynaecologist who specialises in recurrent loss in my area is the consultant at the private clinic, so made sure I got an appt with her! They do an internal scan and have a good look in there to see if they can see anything concerning. I’m hoping it will just be a one off appt, and the cost was £270 which I didn’t think was bad at all for the peace of mind I’m so desperately craving!!

@PippaPug @Kiza Ha these threads do move SO fast (me being bored back at work today and procrastinating from clearing my inbox means I’ve probably contributed to a gazillion of these posts)! Hope you are both doing okay!

PippaPug · 04/06/2019 19:52

How to do you all remember who is asking what?! I seem to read it all and then forgot who asked what and get myself confused!

@MrsEG - I take just pregnacare and my Fiancé takes well man....think I’m going to buy some Vit C Though to start helping (well it can’t do any harm can it!)

@Plattsy88 - sorry to hear about your period striving, fingers crossed for the next cycle Cake

@Lozzlepop - when do you go away? Bet your looking forward to it!

Kiza · 04/06/2019 19:42

Woah you guys move so fast with your convos! I struggle to even get on my phone during work days so miss so much! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Leodot · 04/06/2019 19:36

Hi @MrsEG and @validuser, thank you for the welcome. 😊

They initially mentioned day 21 blood tests but said they wouldn’t be that helpful as I never know when day 21 is. They also told me to stop stressing and when it had been a year they would look into it. Initially I thought that made sense as I’d read it could take up to a year but when I started reading mumsnet threads I realised that maybe my doctor was just being unhelpful?

What does a private fertility MOT entail? I had wondered about private options but has always been worried about the potential cost.

MrsEG · 04/06/2019 19:32

@Fivebyfive2 Ha bet DH is loving that!! You must just be one of the lucky ones without bad sickness, two of my close friends sailed through pregnancy with no sickness whatsoever! Yep - genuinely didn’t think I could love DH more but he has been so amazing, he even sent flowers to work for my first day back today (I melted).

Fivebyfive2 · 04/06/2019 19:21

@MrsEG, that's fab, so glad you 2 are going strong, it makes all the difference! I've had a few tiny bits of sickness, but nothing bad. It's mostly feeling really tired (have taken to having naps!) and I'm soooo windy! Trying not to over analyse!! Xx

Jessikka · 04/06/2019 19:11

@ValidUser Ha! That's ok - I've been quiet lately ☺️

MrsEG · 04/06/2019 19:09

@purplefig Enjoy those leftovers! I’m doing very similar after my first day back at work, bath currently running!

@Fivebyfive2 I know, it was SO nice to just be ‘us’ again, no PreSeed, Ava, just the two of us! Wish I’d never bloody googled EWCM. I’ve managed to convince myself now though that we’re ‘safe’! Aah how exciting - how have you been feeling, and sickness kicking in yet?

@Leodot Hello and welcome! Will the GP not even look in to the length of your periods?? That sounds crazy. I have a private fertility MOT this week - is that something you could look in to?

ValidUser · 04/06/2019 19:02

@Fivebyfive2 exciting!

@Leodot welcome.

@Jessikka sorry for the lack of tag! 😱

Hello 👋🏻 only me!

Supposedly ovulating today - only managed to DTD 2 nights ago and today! should have got one in last night but I was too tired so if that means this month isn't the month, so be it!

How are you all ☺️

Leodot · 04/06/2019 18:51

Hi everybody,

Please can I join your thread? My husband and I have been ttc number 1 since September 2018 and not having much luck. I have wildly irregular cycles 37-72 days long and my doctors are unwilling to investigate me until September this year (they said I need to give it a full year of trying despite me explaining that I sometimes don’t have a period for 3 months. It’s been like this since I was 14 and I’m now 29!) Just feeling a bit lonely and sad as I don’t have anyone to talk to about this. None of my friends have children yet and none are trying (most of them aren’t in long term relationships) so I haven’t confided in them. Would love to find people in the same boat to talk with. Also, hope I didn’t come across as too miserable, I promise I’m generally a happy person ❤️

Fivebyfive2 · 04/06/2019 18:49

Hi ladies, just marking a place here so I can still come and be nosey!

@Lozzlepop, have a lovely holiday!! Xx

@flapjackered, I hope your pains haven't gotten worse, make sure you look after yourself and get checked out if you're still not feeling right later on xx

@MrsEG, it's natural to over think and worry, but I'm sure you'll be OK with the timing. I also think it's awesome you and dh are happily deed doing even when not trying. It's important to remember it can be just for fun I think!! Xxx

@Validuser, I'll be keeping an eye on how you're doing, got absolutely everything crossed for you!! Xxx

Well ladies... Private scan booked for Saturday afternoon , should be 8 weeks and 6 days!! Mostly excited, but a bit scared too... Will let you know how it goes!!

ValidUser · 04/06/2019 18:33

Welcome @Snuggs19!

purplefig · 04/06/2019 18:29

@MrsEG thaaaanks 😭❤️ I feel way better after reading that. You're totally right, just had a wobble. Some months I have no pre AF cramps and some months I'll have them up to a week before. Always helpful 🙄😂. Hear you on the luminous (expensive!!!) pee too.

@ELW85 oooo that's really positive and interesting and v good news for my LP! Thanks for sharing ☺️

Have a fab night everyone. I'm off to face plant some leftovers and have a super chilled one .

LikeTheFruit · 04/06/2019 18:18

@MrsEG to be fair they were things I'd already wanted and saved for but was reluctant to do "just in case". Maybe June's treat will be a galaxy bar 😊😊
