@MrsEG that sounds right and I have always thought that surely it is better to be fit to welcome a baby to house up in your for 9 months. The only thing that made me think twice is that this lady is a fertility specialist acupuncturist and is SO knowledgable about everything else, so it quite surprised me when she said that, so I thought maybe i should tone it down for a while and see if it helps. 🤷🏼‍♀️

FlapJackered · 05/06/2019 07:00

@purplefig I think I would tend to agree with your acupuncturist over mine. Although mine was so insistent at the time and said it was what she believed is stopping a lot of women getting pregnant...which I think sounds a bit dramatic! I might just go back to the gym but maybe make my routine a little less challenging. It really does help the mental health doesn't it, and the podge! I have had this weird jelly belly since the miscarriage which I really want to try and get rid of (I am otherwise quite slim so it looks like and old mans beer belly 😂)

MrsEG · 05/06/2019 06:59

@FlapJackered @purplefig All opinions seem to differ but I personally think it depends on their knowledge on exercise; my GP and all midwives have really encouraged me to keep doing what I’ve always done. But I have a friend who upon telling her GP she was expecting, he told her to stop running. She’s perfectly healthy and had a low risk pregnancy. He couldn’t give her any reason why other than ‘the NHS says light exercise is okay’ so clearly just didn’t think running fell in to that. DH is a PT with all antenatal quals and as far as he’s concerned you can and should keep up with whatever you have done previously just take the intensity down a bit.

I also however very much think it’s a personal preference thing and when I got my latest BFP I didn’t move for a week in fear I’d shake it loose. And it made no difference! When I saw my GP ages ago about these kind of concerns she told me ‘Trust me, it’s impossible to run a baby loose’!

FlapJackered · 05/06/2019 06:55

@Fivebyfive2 so lovely to hear from you and exciting about the scan! Let us know how it goes!
Pains have mostly gone now thankfully and have been replaced by normal pre af cramps and diarrhoea, fun! No idea what that was about! Temp is lowish too so I am pretty sure af will be turning up a bit early this cycle.

purplefig · 05/06/2019 06:51

@FlapJackered I feel like a right drama queen now 👸🏼!! I did have a suuuuuper restless night tossing and turning and must've woken up 3 or 4 times. It is weird how opinions differ - my acupuncturist okay'd my return to weightlifting and she also said running would be fine. I had put exercise off for months 'just in case' but decided ultimately I need it for my mental health.

purplefig · 05/06/2019 06:48

@MrsEG that's so impressive that it started as a whim and stuck! Yeah I might think about a 3km or something . Totally hear you on the long training runs too - even half training was too much for me 😅. Leftovers were 👌🏼 had homemade mushroom pie (so good!!) and repurposed mash into little potato cakes. Look at that, all carb loaded ready for my 3k 😂. will deffo look out for that tea, sounds amazing. I'm still mad on my chai yogitea but it's better in autumn/winter.

FlapJackered · 05/06/2019 06:45

@purplefig I don't think you're out yet, it doesn't look like it's past where your coverline would be. I am in a similar boat, mine went lowish yesterday and is low again today but not quite all the way low yet. Also I tossed and turned last night.

@MrsEG 😂😂 your husband's response is amazing! I miss proper exercise, ever since the acupuncture lady told me yoga and swimming only 🙄 I have been avoiding the gym. I just don't know what to believe now, half the websites say lots of exercise is good half or them say light exercise only! 🤷🏼‍♀️

MrsEG · 05/06/2019 06:43

@purplefig I’m actually a massive cliche - up until about 6/7 years ago I’d never done any exercise outside of school PE! Gained loads of weight in my early 20s, felt shit and tried to go for a run on a whim one morning and never stopped since. I used to do really long distance (have a marathon under my belt) but the training was exhausting so these days I don’t go longer than 10k. Completely agree about the endorphins - noting in the world like it!! Yep - if you ever spy the Teapigs rhubarb and ginger tea anywhere, do yourself a favour and buy it!!

If you wanted to I always say running is such an easy thing to get back in to after falling off the wagon if you just start small - little 3-4K trots and you’re back in the game before you know it :)

How was your leftovers and chilled out eve?

purplefig · 05/06/2019 06:33

@MrsEG absolutely love your husbands response 😂❤️ I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Xxx

MrsEG · 05/06/2019 06:32

@purplefig We DTD Sunday and Monday so again, might not be in danger but it’s close enough. I’d be amazed - never managed a BFP without at least a week of BDing so I’m hoping I’m worrying for nothing. Had a go at DH this morning given he instigated both times, he’s all ‘But it was your birthday!!’

Ahh hun don’t get disheartened - like you say one rubbish nights sleep can mess up a chart, and still no AF - I will remain hopeful for you!

purplefig · 05/06/2019 06:32

@MrsEG sorry for the double post - just seen your health kick reply. Sounds awesome - my fave bit is the herbal tea order!! I'm like you and need exercise for my mental health. Have you been running long? I've done a couple of halfs, but massively fell off the bandwagon a few years ago. As much as I love lifting, yoga etc. Nothing beats the post run endorphins! Well, expect maybe a fridge full off prepped food in Tupperware 😏

purplefig · 05/06/2019 06:23

@MrsEG ahh sorry to hear that...you DTD a few days ago didn't you? Fingers crossed xxx

purplefig · 05/06/2019 06:21

@Lozzlepop have a fab holiday!

Restless night and took temp an hour early but pretty huge drop, so reckon that's me out. Sad as ever, but sort of nice to have a heads up on AF.

So after my little EWCM panic yesterday I wore my Ava the past two nights which kinda suggests I ovulated yesterday Confused There’s sod all I can do about it now. I’ve just handily given myself another thing to worry about for the next two weeks!

@Leodot Thank you lovely, I’ll be reporting back after the fertility MOT so you can see what you think :) I LOLd at your wedding day story - I was so drunk I slept in my dress!! Woke up fully clothed on top of the bed the next morning...

@ValidUser Triplets! Can you imagine, after all this time trying. It’d like waiting for a bus, you wait an hour for one and then three show up...! How are you feeling today?

@Lozzlepop Have a ball!

@PippaPug have a fabulous wedding when it comes lovely! It’s holiday day “see you” all in a week lol

dahlia123 · 04/06/2019 23:16

Wow another new thread! Thanks for starting @ValidUser

Stats update for the new thread - cycle 6, CD 10.

Congratulations on the wedding @PippaPug! I had so much in my head before mine that I couldn't have thought about TTC, but I'd say just go with what feels right. Are you going on honeymoon straight away?

ValidUser · 04/06/2019 23:12

Ah thanks @Lottiepink! Not sure if you saw that the injections gave me 2 follicles on the side with a tube. Hoping we've caught one. Had a dream the other night DH and I had triplets but I could only remember 2 of their names! I'll know if I'm pregnant next week.

Hoping life settles down nicely for you. X

@MrsEG I’m so sorry that you’ve been through all of that in the past but hopefully you will be able to get some peace of mind from the appointment and some positive news❤️. Your health kick sounds great though, well done!

@pippapug Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I would personally have postponed it as my wedding was a huge party and I enjoyed the chance to have a drink. (My poor husband had to get me out of my dress as I was too drunk to work out how to unlace it. He was also very drunk so I don’t think he felt too hard done by haha). I think just see how you feel closer to the time and don’t put any pressure on yourself.

@plattsy88
Sorry to hear that you got AF. I agree with you that it never feels fair! But like you say, this is a fresh cycle and a fresh chance so hopefully this will be your time!

@Tashdreams Thank you, everyone seems so supportive and nice. Agreed the wait is so frustrating! Also totally agree about the positive thinking. I think I just got myself into a bit of a hole recently as I’ve had some other health problems too and I’m normally quite fit and healthy so it’s just got me down. But I’m going to really try and buck myself up 😊. That’s good to know that you’re finding temping reliable as I’m thinking of trying that as well. Hopefully this will be your cycle!

@ELW85 Thanks for your welcome 😊

MrsEG · 04/06/2019 22:56

@ELW85 Good for you!! When I got my most recent BFP I just didn’t move in fear, and then the first week post-MC I was just too sad to. It’s done me wonders getting back to it, it’s just so good for the brain!

@MrsR16 Wow!! Oh you must be so excited for your 12 week scan now :) Yes MOT is on Thurs, genuinely looking forward to it! Onwards and upwards :)

Has anyone been watching Chernobyl? Just watched the last episode..... unbelievable! Such a great show. You’d swear it was all made up if we didn’t know better!

Lottiepink · 04/06/2019 22:45

@ValidUser been seeing your posts and trying to follow it all, hope you are feeling ok after all you've been through! Hope it all works out for you!

I know work and private life has been full on! Hoping to be able to be more involved now though 😊

MrsR16 · 04/06/2019 22:39

@MrsEG hello you! I'm doing ok! Believe it or not, according to LMP i am 11 weeks tomorrow! Scan due next Wednesday, where I might even be measuring ahead a week, so I've just gotta be patient and wait and see! How are you doing? I've read about your upcoming fertility MOT and am sending you all my best wishes that you actually get an answer! Xx

ValidUser · 04/06/2019 22:39

@Lottiepink we all have our more and less involved weeks. Part of it all.

I'm making baby wish lists on Amazon.

Thank you @ValidUser 😊

Lottiepink · 04/06/2019 22:33

Hi all,

Just marking my place, I'm sorry guys I've not really posted much as I've been really busy and struggled to keep up.. I will try harder 😆 I promise 😊

ELW85 · 04/06/2019 22:19

@MrsEG - good idea to ask about the supplements at your MOT!
I took your advice from a long time ago, and carried exercising as usual...so I’m broken from a circuit class tonight and CrossFit last night, haha!!

@purplefig - happy to help where I can :) and thank you for all of your help and support - you’re always so positive and it’s lovely!

@PippaPug - congratulations!! I’d say go with what you feel comfortable with; if you’ve got a big Honeymoon planned and you conceive, you might be tired.

And welcome to all newcomers!! This is such a supportive group of the strongest, most wonderful ladies and I feel very lucky to have them; I hope we can make you feel that way too :)
