@LokiCat so glad it's not just me - lots of us on the thread! Yeah I think looking so young makes it extra awkz.

@MrsH497 what kind of ov test is that? I only use ICs! Looks positive to me though.

Ladies...I can only tell you...I just ran to the bathroom CONVINCED AF had arrived but it was just a lot of very wet CM. Um, u wot?!

cupcakesandglitter · 06/06/2019 13:59

@LokiCat sorry I missed your message! I don't take antihistamines either so just have to put up with it 😂😂 also, bananas don't help, I've been eating them too 😩

@MrsH497 looks positive to me!! Make sure he's ready 😂😂😂 x

MrsH497 · 06/06/2019 13:17

Husband had best prepare to be jumped when he gets in from work! Lol

ELW85 · 06/06/2019 13:14

@MrsH497 - that looks like a positive one to me!
I must say, I use a combo of the CB and ICs to lower the cost when I need to test twice a day, and the IC ones are actually more sensitive in my view.
Let us know how you get on :)

MrsH497 · 06/06/2019 13:08

@MrsEG probably being hopeful for anything!

@FlapJackered omg prunes!! I don't have prunes but I have dates.... I'll try those!! Never wanted the shits before but hey 😂 bloody hell you're well stocked up 😂😂 that's an impressive amount!!!!

@MrsEG yeeeeees!!! I'm so happy for you, I'm glad things are moving super quick and you'll get your answers soon ❤️

LokiCat · 06/06/2019 12:57

@MrsEG oh I'm so happy for you, the doctor sounds brilliant and very positive about it which I'm sure reassures you a lot!
I hope you get all your answers soon ❤️

@ELW85 glad the flashing smiley has shown up! Fx positive is close!!

@cupcakesandglitter I can't stop sneezing at work and my eyes and nose feel so itchy!! Horrendous!
I usually have bananas when I feel too constipated.

@FlapJackered haha loving your collection! I'll be showing that to DH when I get home, since he made a comment about my collection of 1 FRER box and 1 CB digital 😂😂 I do have atleast 20 ICs though, as they came free with my OPK strips.

@purplefig yes re feeling like a naughty teenager!! It doesn't help that some people still think I'm 18, not 28 🤦🏻‍♀️ so always make sure to look really casual and relaxed when buying some!
Re next steps - I can self refer to my local hospital, but GP wants to know so they can put it on their system as well. As others have said, it does vary by area.

@Bettythecat glad to see that you're doing well. Good luck getting an appointment tomorrow! Your DH sounds so sweet.

@dahlia123 ahh bless your partner to be so involved! DH just tells me to let him know when his bits are needed 😂😂

purplefig · 06/06/2019 12:56

@dahlia123 Hahaha that's so nice he wants to actively be involved with it! I think it helps TTC feel less lonely, along with this group of course Grin . I'm planning to go to a supermarket instead of a chemist, so I can use the self check-out. I am 28 damnit, why am I so ridiculous!!!

@Bettythecat Ahh I see - that's good to know. I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow - let us know.

@MrsEG I'm absolutely chuffed for you. Good to hear her thoughts on the importance of being fit and healthy, bet you felt like the class nerd when you could say you've started your health kick already! I think stress is a big one...interestingly something that exercise can really help with too.

I don't feel particularly optimistic about tomorrows test, probably because it's been 9 months of nothing so I think I'd genuinely faint from shock if another line popped up haha.

dahlia123 · 06/06/2019 12:50

You're doing well holding off @purplefig. That chart looks good! Hopefully the 1 hour won't make too much of a difference. Fingers crossed for you and @FlapJackered tomorrow

That's a great weekend ahead @FlapJackered! That pic looks like the shelf in the chemist 🤣

I'm not as regular during LP @cupcakesandglitter - another pain the arse being a woman

So pleased your consultant was so good @MrsEG. It must feel like such a relief to see someone like that.

Yes I def feel like a teenager @purplefig - terrified of seeing someone I know at the till.

Hi @Mrskcam. Hope you're well.

At the start of fertile week this morning and partner asked for my phone this morning. Asked why and he wanted to check my apps so he could see if it was the right time to DTD. Pleased his mind is on TTC - hadn't realised he was so across dates 😝

Mrskcam · 06/06/2019 12:40

Hi all just marking my place, sorry I've been quiet I have been taking some time to just recollect my thoughts and whatnot. Will be back soon, hope everyone's keeping well x

MrsEG · 06/06/2019 12:32

@Bettythecat Try not to let that worry you at all - my sister didn’t have any sickness til 7 weeks and two friends had absolutely none at all! Enjoy the symptom-free days while you can haha! Good luck with getting booked in :)

@MrsH497 Thanks lovely! I don’t know actually, do you have a pic of the test?

Bettythecat · 06/06/2019 12:27

@purplefig @MrsEG I'm going to call the doctors tomorrow to get an appointment tomorrow hopefully. My DH has been really sweet and has said he will definitely be coming to absolutely everything even though the first appointment nothing really happens! I'm all prepared now about the process after last time so I've got my piss pot to take with me! @purplefig the doctor just refers you to the midwife (at least they do in my areas) as well as takes a few basic details and height and weight etc then you get your appointments for booking and scans. I'm sort of liking not having symptoms but really just want them to start- I was like this last time so really hard to not see it as a bad omen!

MrsH497 · 06/06/2019 12:24

@MrsEG amazing news!! So glad it was a positive appointment! Sounds like a wonderful doctor as well so understanding.

Today is a Disney binge I think might gym later.

Ladies talk to me about CB OPKs the new batch I bought the stupid reader doesn't work grrr but I looked at the stick and 2 very dark lines so ovulating?

MrsEG · 06/06/2019 12:08

Triple post!! Haha @purplefig just saw your post about next steps - it’s different in every area, some GPs will refer you and some are self referral to midwives. Easiest thing to do is just call your GP surgery and ask them what the process is, and then the midwives book you in around 8-10 weeks!

MrsEG · 06/06/2019 12:06

@ValidUser Oooh come on tests get darker!! (And oops sorry missed you off my earlier post!!)

MrsEG · 06/06/2019 12:06

@ELW85 @starkid @Bettythecat @purplefig @FlapJackered Thank you, I am so so pleased. Also re: supps! Unless a doctor has diagnosed any issues, the main stay is the folic acid. Avoid Vitamin A completely.

She also mentioned stress, diet and exercise - she thinks people really overlook how being in the best possible health is such a huge factor in conception and pregnancy. I told her about my health kick and she was very impressed! So if anyone needed that extra nudge to lace up their trainers, there you go :)

I’m just so pleased to know I’ll be under her care from now on. She mentioned stress a lot, and said to try and remain as positive as I can which I am doing much better at; but the knowledge I’ll have so much support and additional scans if pregnant again in itself makes me feel so so much better. She was SO nice and as you say, £800 is nothing if it gives me a baby!

@starkid Ouch sounds painful! Definitely mention it at your scan - hopefully it’s nothing!

@Bettythecat Great to hear all is going well! Do you know when your booking in appointment is yet? It’ll all start to go so quickly now!

starkid · 06/06/2019 11:45

@FlapJackered - yes that's what it sounds like, and I saw it say they're common/generally nothing to worry about which is good. Bloody kills Shock poor you getting them a lot!
Still waiting for a positive opk...

ValidUser · 06/06/2019 11:42

@MrsEG I'm so happy to hear that! X

purplefig · 06/06/2019 11:28

@Bettythecat Glad to hear everything is going well! What's the next 'step' as it were? Do you have to see GP or do you wait for your midwife appointment? It's just dawned on me I'm so caught up with TTC I have no idea what actually happens once you get your BFP! Glad you're feeling symptom free so far....long may the lack of sickness last!

FlapJackered · 06/06/2019 11:25

@MrsEG wooohoo! I am so so glad!!! She sounds amazing! What a relief to know you are in such good hands, I am sure they will get to the bottom of it now and it sounds like you will be well looked after when you get pregnant again. £800 is a small price to pay if it helps get you your baby!

@starkid it sounds like it might be a cyst, but if it is don't panic, I get them a lot and each time they have disappeared. In fact it might be one bursting if it is painful. They are very common.

@Bettythecat so glad to hear everything is going well! X

purplefig · 06/06/2019 11:10

@MrsEG YESSSS!!!! You so so sooo deserve this after everything you've been through. Well, not the double vein blood sucking and the dead arm, but the incredible sounding consultant and a positive plan. Love that she said 'when' not if too, like you said you clearly know you're fertile! And the bi-weekly scans sound so reassuring. Ahh I'm ruddy chuffed for you mate. I know £800 is a lot, but I think it sounds completely worth it tbh. Also just imagine what we've all spent on avas/vitamins/wanky smoothies over the last few months!! This TTC business isn't cheap!

@ELW85 Glad it's not just me! It doesn't help that I look about 12. Ooo let me know what you think of the book. We can geek out together about it!

Bettythecat · 06/06/2019 11:09

@purplefig I'm good thanks lovely. I'm still pretty free of symptoms (5 weeks today) just sore boobs really and some other minor symptoms which are more likely to be in my head 😂. The symptom spotting doesn't stop when you get a BFP! 🙄 did a CB digital test today and it said 3+ so it's actually made my day really. I know exactly what you mean about buying pg tests I feel the same! I hold them down and then shove them in my bag as quick as I can or get DH to buy them 🤦‍♀️

@FlapJackered that is a serious collection!! Really made me laugh!

When I had accupuncture the other day I hadn't shaved my legs and I could feel her rubbing her hand up my stubble! I felt so bad for her. She also has to touch my sweaty post work feet 🥴.

@MrsEG I'm so thrilled to read your post. Must be such a massive relief that someone is able to support you and help. The money is worth every penny to avoid the limbo of waiting. You're an amazing woman to stay so positive. You and your DH will be amazing parents soon I can feel it.

starkid · 06/06/2019 11:08

@MrsEG - so glad your appointment went well and has made you feel so positive you are being looked after from now on Smile

I know I'm starting to sound paranoid/hypochondriac, but my left ovary is still hurting today, so all day yesterday, especially so during sex, and still today? I've put some heat on it to try and help ease the pain. Have looked up that it might be a cyst? At least am having a scan tomorrow so couldn't have been timed better for me to suddenly have more issues than normal Confused

ELW85 · 06/06/2019 10:59

@MrsEG - I’m so, so happy for you that your appointment went so well.
She sounds absolutely amazing and so with the investment!
You sound really positive, and I’m glad it was such a good experience after everything; you really needed and deserved that! X

ELW85 · 06/06/2019 10:56

@Purplefig - thank you so much!! And yes!! I feel like I’m getting judged whenever I get a test, like I have to justify myself “this is PLANNED people, it’s ok!” 😂
Ooh - my book arrived today so we can be book buddies, haha!
