@MrsEG - thank you so much, you’ve been very supportive :)
I’m going back to the docs today to talk more about the blood results (they want to see me) and take it from there.
DH also doesn’t want to do a S.A. but I think he might have to come round to that idea!
How are you feeling?

MrsEG · 20/06/2019 07:08

@ELW85 Your DH sounds like an absolute keeper!! I’m glad you’re feeling better today. Just think, you’re already having your bloods and checks done with your doctor and hopefully they can put your mind at ease or offer some advice re: your LP soon, and I’m so sure you’ll get that BFP :) I’m really rooting for you!!

@MrsH497 Sounds Great! Your GP can do a sperm analysis if you need it; I was told the fact I had gotten pregnant before though meant it wasn’t really necessary. Which DH was secretly delighted about Smile

@Lozzlepop Just crack on with the SMEP!! I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you get that positive soon.

ELW85 · 20/06/2019 06:51

@Lozzlepop - I’ve got circuits later so I’ll join you in being destroyed 😂
Temping is definitely worth it, so I’d go for it! It gives you interesting insights into your body.

@MrsH497 - that sounds really positive! How often are you going to have the sessions?

I woke up today feeling a bit more positive and that surely one more BFN cycle is one step closer to a BFP? Or am I being irrational? Happy to hear arguments of probability for and against!

MrsH497 · 19/06/2019 22:44

Oh she also said she thinks my iron is low so need blood nourishing food, and she will be concentrating on a good uterus lining and healthy eggs.

MrsH497 · 19/06/2019 22:28

@kuksoolkid hey welcome. Yes in my opinion probably bit early to test. Hard as it is just try and hold out until AF is late (great at giving advice crap at listening to my own!)

Well had my first acupuncture session she said it's a case of WHEN I get pregnant not IF which was positive. She did say she would like DH to have sperm analysis to check everything is good on that front. Not sure where we get that done and not sure if we will have it done. The acupuncture itself was relaxing so we will see going back next week for another session.

Definitely need to get back to the gym!! Almost Friday!

Lozzlepop · 19/06/2019 22:15

@ELW85 I was at the gym earlier, instructor is like a drill sergeant so I know I’ll be in pain tomorrow 😂 fingers crossed! Might start temping next month to get a better handle on things

@LikeTheFruit maybe this constant bad weather is affecting our OPKs 😂 guessing (and hoping) that this cycle is just going to be a bit longer than expected 🤞🏻 I’ve been dehydrating myself too- less than ideal in this weather! Fingers crossed for those positives soon

ValidUser · 19/06/2019 22:11

@LikeTheFruit it's the rise in progesterone that increases your temperature, so most likely not.

LikeTheFruit · 19/06/2019 21:55

@Lozzlepop I'm having a negative OPK experience here too CD 29 here and getting darkish negatives with FMU then very very pale negatives later in day after dehydrating myself. We've been DTD every other day anyway so fingers crossed.

Does anyone know if you don't ovulate in a cycle do you still get temp rise?

ELW85 · 19/06/2019 21:46

Thanks @Lozzlepop - I’ll pay for it in the gym tomorrow 😂
You sound like you’ve got all of the bases covered, to be fair! Got everything crossed for you that it clarifies itself soon and you get that BFP!

Lozzlepop · 19/06/2019 21:33

@ELW85 sorry to hear AF got you Hun! Enjoy the junk food!

@LokiCat yes that is a positive! I hope you have the most fantastic time ☺️☺️

The OPK saga continues, CD16 and still no positive 🙈 what’s going on 😂 we have been doing SMEP so hopefully we will have made a good effort if I have somehow missed the surge 🤞🏻

ELW85 · 19/06/2019 19:44

Thank you so much, @LokiCat - I’ll let you know how I get on; hopefully the docs help me out!
But more importantly, have an amazing time!! Xx

@Jessikka - definitely go back and ask them to retest. They need to be accurate or there’s no point!

Well ladies, I’m very lucky - my DH came home and surprised me with a huge bunch of roses and peonies, my fave Ben and Jerry’s and some sourdough. In a carb-coma and feeling loads better!

kuksoolkid · 19/06/2019 19:07

Hello everyone :) newbie here

I've been lurking for a few days and wanted to join the party. I'm 26 and in cycle #1 of TTC - I came off the pill mid April and after much stressing luckily had my first period on May 29th. Me and OH were going to wait longer until we started trying but said what the hell and decided to start trying this month. I have ovulation symptoms quite soon after my period (like 8 days after the date of my first period) so we started DTD every other night from then - but after reading things online have seen that it may have been too early to be ovulating. I can't be 100% as this is the first month of my proper 'cycle' since coming of the pill so I'm mega confused.

I thought I may be pregnant as have had a few symptoms (sore boobs, feeling a bit sick now and then, bloating, heart palpitations??) I took a test today and it was negative. I'm about 7 days away from my expected AF, is it too early to show up on a test? I'm probably kidding myself getting pregnant this quickly right?! The symptoms are probably all in my head...

Congrats to those who have recently got a BFP!

Jessikka · 19/06/2019 18:39

I wondered that - should they be done earlier @ELW85 but he either didn't care or didn't listen.... or as I suspect.... both 🙃

LokiCat · 19/06/2019 18:00

@Lozzlepop @ELW85 it is really confusing but I am glad it's not anovulatory cycle - I have enough to worry about! AF is due the day I'm back at work, so that'll be a fun welcome back 😂
I am so excited to get away, though - thanks ladies! ❤️

@ELW85 so sorry that AF has showed up. Your evening sounds the perfect way to treat yourself!
Its good that something has been identified which may explain the low progesterone. I hope the chat with the docs goes well!
I usually count LP from 1dpo.
Enjoy your treats xx

@MrsEG thanks lovely! I hope your chat goes well in the morning and that she is able to reassure you. Your symptoms sound promising so fingers crossed this one is going in the right direction. Really really hope it works out well for you xx

ELW85 · 19/06/2019 15:55

@purplefig - can’t wait! I hope you’re doing well? So happy for you :) x

@Jessikka - I have 25 day cycles so they did my day 21 bloods at day 18?

purplefig · 19/06/2019 14:42

@ELW85 that sounds perfect! X

Jessikka · 19/06/2019 14:28

Hello Everyone 👋🏻

Only me! just checking in.
Cycle 7 has begun so I'm just chilling and waiting for the time to get going again! Periods have gotten so light I struggle to know when they begin now😂 I can't tell the moment they flip from spotting into flow! Or of the spotting is actually flow ... it's a headf%#k!

I had 21 day bloods done and just had the results that all was "fine". They checked testosterone and progesterone - so I assume I did ovulate? though my cycles are short so I don't know if 21 days was the right day to do anything since I average 25 days 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hope you're all well - I'm still reading but until I have anything worthy to say I won't bore you lol.

Enjoy your evenings ladies!

ELW85 · 19/06/2019 13:58

@purplefig - thank you :) I’ve just text DH and told him I need a blanket and shit food, so that’s on the cards I hope!

ELW85 · 19/06/2019 13:57

Thanks, @MrsEG. Going back to docs next week as they did the bloods in the end, and they wanted to see me to chat through the results.
I’ve found conflicting things online about counting it from the day of Ov (as you can’t still be growing the collocate then, so would be out of the follicular you phase) but some apps count is as the day after.
Either way, I’m going to push the progesterone issue I think xx

purplefig · 19/06/2019 13:56

@MrsEG so glad you've heard back and are getting an appointment fairly soon. I'm keeping everything crossed for you. Sore boobs and vomit must be a good sign though! Your DH sounds hilarious 😂 so glad you two have got each other you sound like a fab team.

@ELW85 sorry to hear that lovely, it never gets any easier. Be kind to yourself today. Can you plan a little treat? I always ate chocolate the day AF showed.

MrsEG · 19/06/2019 13:48

@ELW85 Oh I’m so sorry hun. Have you still got a private fertility MOT booked in? Hopefully they can look in to that, and give you some answers fast. I usually count my LP as the day after Ov. I don’t know if that’s right to be honest, it’s just what I’ve always done xx

ELW85 · 19/06/2019 13:12

And I’m out.
AF has arrived, and now depending on how you look at it, I either Ov earlier than thought, or my LP is 10/11 days which is pretty short.
Does everyone count their LP from the day of O or from the day after?

ELW85 · 19/06/2019 12:29

Thank you so much, @MrsEG!
My temps went back up this morning, so not a clue what’s going on. It could have just been a random fluctuation.
I’m feeling SO crampy though that I keep going to check if AF has arrived; just feels like a matter of time now.
Bloods were all ok apart from prolactin which was a bit borderline (interestingly causes low progesterone, which is my concern) so she wants so see me back after AF. I guess they might retest.

Anyway; fantastic news about your symptoms and consultant chat coming up.
It’ll be great to get some reassurance from her :)
If there was anything in your results so far that caused her concern, I really don’t think she would have left it for the few days she has - I’ll keep absolutely everything crossed for you xx

MrsEG · 19/06/2019 12:06

Hi ladies, so much to catch up on! Sorry if I miss anyone.

@purplefig Yes, DH has been amazing actually. He gave his balls a high-five to congratulate his sperms, as you do. He is just staying so positive which is really helping me keep calm.

@ELW85 Sorry to hear about the temp drop - you are not silly at all to get your hopes up, we do it every month! Please don’t feel that way. Have the test results given any indicator as to whether there is anything the GP can do to help?

@Bettythecat Thank you - wishing you the very very best of luck with your scan.

@MrsH497 Enjoy the accupuncture:)

@DuchessofPemberley Hi lovely I remember you - huge congrats :)

@cupcakesandglitter Haha, Enjoy - bet DH is delighted!!

@LokiCat Really hope you haven’t missed it, I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you.

It’s looking like an appointment will likely be early next week; consultant will chat to me on the phone tomorrow. I’m hoping this means that perhaps there’s nothing particularly troubling in my results that are in so far, but of course it could just mean that she is an incredibly busy consultant with a lot of other patients to see to as well!! So at the moment we are just taking things easy and crossing every finger and toe that everything can stick on for a week until we are seen. Boobs are still sore, I was sick in my mouth this morning and I am so bloated it’s untrue. So trying to take all of these things as a positive. Playing the waiting game now though xx

MrsChicken89 · 19/06/2019 09:41

I'm CD 15 today, I'v been using OPks this month just to re check where my OV day is.
Cd 12 was light Cd 13 was darker but cd14 I couldn't test till about half 10 at night when i usually test when I get home about 6pm, so I think i may have missed the surge. CD13 i was bloated and having stomach ache so I've noted that as ovulation. We managed to DTD on CD 12 & 13 so hopefully in with a good chance this month.
