@ValidUser - 100% who doesn’t love a conundrum?!

@Kiza - I think you’re doing brilliantly! I still have one cup in the morning and then sadly nothing for the rest of the day. And caffeine free Diet Coke tastes no different :)

Good luck with your exercise stuff - we’ve widely debated it here as @MrsEG has mentioned, but she’s been fantastic at keeping our heads straight with it...and she’s a machine for exercising :)

@FlapJackered - sorry to hear that, my dear. Keep your head up, it will happen!

purplefig · 07/06/2019 06:26

Well I didn't pass out.....but I am utterly shocked and 10000000% over the moon!!! Doesn't feel remotely real ladies!! Will post properly later.

@Kiza SO many of us are in the same boat! Adding the worry you might ‘shake the baby loose’ in the TWW doesn’t help either haha, but I’ve done fairly extensive research now and all signs point to keeping really active being a good thing!

Haha I have to like the gym - DH owns one! Woefully I’m hardly the ‘gym wife’ though - there are a few ladies there at the mo getting ready for bikini comps and look like Wonder Woman and I’m snaffling Minstrels in the car before I go inside...

Kiza · 07/06/2019 06:10

@MrsEG I've been terrible the last few months due to TTC and thinking aargh forget about muscle and a flat tummy cos you'll be pregnant soon. However getting down about not falling pregnant has resulted in me eating crap and putting on weight, you know where you can't actually fasten your jeans buttons Cos it digs in so much it hurts 🤦🏼‍♀️😢 so I thought enough!
I hate the gym but am trying, good luck for your spin class - I always thought people who do spin are Gods with their fitness levels! 😆

MrsEG · 07/06/2019 06:02

@Kiza Good for you!! As I’m up I’m actually debating going for the 6:45 spin class near me - you’ve inspired me!

@FlapJackered It was horrible - dreamt I was sat on a chair covered with sticky webs and it was crawling with them 😫
Ahh I’m gutted about the temp drop but as you say, commiserations with plenty of partying this weekend sounds brilliant :)

Kiza · 07/06/2019 05:57

@MrsEG 😆😆😆 that Mumsnet island sounds ace!!!
@FlapJackered @purplefig , I'm still rooting for you till AF shows.
Currently at the gym, so got a bit of time before work to keep up to speed with the chat.

@ELW85 wow I admire your ability to give up caffeine, I only have I filtered cup in the morning (now half and half with decaf) but I still savour very drop!

FlapJackered · 07/06/2019 05:55

@MrsEG I hate a spider dream, they leave you crawling don't they!
Unfortunately I think the temp drop says it all but thanks lovely. I suppose at least I can drink this weekend!

MrsEG · 07/06/2019 05:51

@FlapJackered Ahh cross post - nooo, I’m sorry hun! You’re not out til AF shows though!

MrsEG · 07/06/2019 05:50

@MrsLBear I was told to take Omega 3 rather than cod liver oil as it doesn’t have any vitamin A, but to be honest I think the vitamin A thing is only a major concern once pregnant (saying that my consultant yesterday did tell me to avoid Vit A when I mentioned my supplements, but said that this was due to the risks in pregnancy)

Loving our ‘Mumsnet cats island does countdown’ idea; I wonder who we pitch it to?!

Good luck this morning @purplefig @flapjackered!! I’m absolutely wide awake since 5 today after having horrible nightmares about spiders 😫 So need some good news to cheer me up!!

FlapJackered · 07/06/2019 05:47

Massive temp drop this morning so I am out 😩
At least I have saved a frer....I am in short supply! 😂

MrsLBear · 07/06/2019 05:03

Hey!! Bit late to the show but can I ask why you're taking cod liver oil @starkid? I was told not to take it at all as it contains vitamin A which is a no no for pregnancy?

cupcakesandglitter · 06/06/2019 23:41

@ValidUser yes!!! I'm game 😏

ValidUser · 06/06/2019 23:38

@cupcakesandglitter @MrsEG @ELW85 could we mix in a bit of 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown? I'm in!

cupcakesandglitter · 06/06/2019 23:31

@MrsEG @ELW85 😂😂 I'd be okay with either tbf, we could spend all day sipping on mocktails and having loo breaks to do our OPKs 😩

ELW85 · 06/06/2019 21:43

@LokiCat - I’ve thought about what it would be like if we all knew each other in ‘real’ life - probably like a huge episode of Sex and the City 😂

@LikeTheFruit, @MrsEG @Purplefig - my caffeine withdrawal headaches lasted for about a week and a half but I feel good for it now!!

I hope everyone is having a lovely evening?
Still no positive OPK for me, but definitely building and definitely day 2 of EWCM so DTD is on the cards 😀

LokiCat · 06/06/2019 21:28

@Kiza haha plus what we chat about is definitely more useful than what's on love island 😂
@purplefig and @FlapJackered will be the ones testing tomorrow (🤞🏽🤞🏽) I'm only 6dpo so will most likely get a BFN if I tested.
Hope you have a quieter day at work tomorrow!

@MrsEG Mumsnet Island sounds great! It would be so much easier knowing you all in person to share the highs and woes of TTC! 😊

MrsEG · 06/06/2019 21:12

@LikeTheFruit @purplefig Yep, the withdrawal was so bad it really put me off ever going back! I had a constant headache (that did start to get better), was sluggish and grumpy. Feel absolutely fine now and never feel the need for caffeine to kick start the day or anything like that. Hang in there!

@LokiCat It really does help when you love what you do!! I HATED my past employer but love my current ones :)

@Kiza Haha!! We should all be on ‘Mumsnet Island’ where we’d all just sit around drinking fertility smoothies checking out each other’s OPKs and wondering if our boobs felt sore. Hope work calms down for you a little bit soon!

Kiza · 06/06/2019 20:58

Ahhh ladies I've been MIA all week as work is so busy and whenever I've tried to come on here I've been overwhelmed at the amount of catch up! There's more chat on here in a day than on an episode of love island! 🌴😆

@purplefig @LokiCat just about managed to catch up that you're both poas tomorrow with some promising symptoms- eeeekk exciting!
Heading to bed as knackered but looking forward to a quieter day work wise so can keep up with the MN chat! 👍🏼

LokiCat · 06/06/2019 20:53

@MrsEG yeah I've started making sure I'm busy the TWW so I'm distracted! Luckily we've had urgent cases coming in at work so I've been pretty swamped! Helps that I love what I do!

@LikeTheFruit thanks! I won't be testing till next Saturday, though - just looking forward to seeing others BFPs tomorrow Grin
Ah I hope the headaches pass soon! I'm not a coffee/tea junkie myself, but I do see DHs reactions when he's without his coffee 🙄

@purplefig haha 'FRER virgin' bless you. At least you're one step closer with these FR tests. As MrsEG said, I think I took about 5 tests when I got my BFP just to make sure they weren't faulty! :)

purplefig · 06/06/2019 20:41

@LikeTheFruit thank you! I'll keep you all posted. Really not optimistic (self protection?!?) but need to check as weekend of drinking with pals if not 😂. Sorry to hear about your headaches...was going to say hopefully they go soon but.....@MrsEG two weeks?!?! How did you cope? I'm down to half a cup of coffee ground. Planning to quit next cycle. Not looking forward to it.....

LikeTheFruit · 06/06/2019 20:40

@MrsEG thanks for the encouragement. It's scary how reliant our bodies become to things. I had to have a nap when I got in from work today. Glad your appointment went well, everything crossed for you that you get some answers.

MrsEG · 06/06/2019 20:31

@purplefig You can always get a FRER to back it up if you get your BFP; don’t think I’ve ever done less than 3 to make myself believe haha!

@LikeTheFruit I quit caffeine cold turkey a while ago for various reasons and yes, first two weeks are brutal, they really are. If you can make it through the first few weeks though your body adjusts and I honestly don’t miss it at all - I actually had a can of Diet Coke on Monday as it was just all they had in a cafe and I couldn’t drink it, tasted awful!! Hang in there :)

LikeTheFruit · 06/06/2019 20:29

Just popping in to say I've got a really good feeling for you @LokiCat and @purplefig !! Hope the testing goes well tomorrow.

I'm a massive tea Jenny (5/6 cups a day) and have decided to cut down on caffeine. So only having one caffein tea a day, rest decaf and omg the headaches!! Hope they pass soon.

purplefig · 06/06/2019 20:28

@MrsEG you're a star - thanks! Very gutted this still means I'm a FRER virgin however.

MrsEG · 06/06/2019 20:20

@LokiCat I know what you mean; I use Ava and I feel so nervous when I sync the temperature in the morning! It’s such a reliable way of catching Ov though. Sounds like you’ve plenty to distract yourself with!!

@purplefig panic not! By 13DPO you should get a reliable result on any test; implantation should have happened a few days prior. So I think you’ll be fine :) They are a bit less sensitive than the FRERs but you’re not testing ludicrously early so you’ll still get a result 🤞🏻
