11dpo today, seems as if af is coming, crampy and feel very Emotional tonight. DH is completely pissing me off over nothing, i feel like I hate him 🤣🤣 classic af 😂😂

ValidUser · 11/06/2019 20:43

@MrsH497 if we squint hard enough it might make me pregnant...

MrsH497 · 11/06/2019 20:22

@ValidUser I think I can see a really faint little line there x

starkid · 11/06/2019 19:56

@MrsEG - weird time of day to do a test 😂 Maybe see again in the morning?
I'm thinking of testing Thursday morning if no spotting, estimated 11dpo... got it in the loo ready Grin

ValidUser · 11/06/2019 19:29

@MrsEG I'm just a total addict!

@Pinkstars2501 I love you now.

@twinkleyes35 welcome!

@ValidUser WHY are you taking an early test at this time of day!!! Are the FRER CEOs holding a gun to your head?? I can’t see anything on this one yet - but will keep my eyes peeled ready for tomorrow’s :)!

Imjustme2019 · 11/06/2019 19:20

@twinkleyes35 welcome

MrsEG · 11/06/2019 19:19

@Tashdreams @KittieKath Just on that, Ive recently (in the last month) started taking folic acid as Methylfolate; saw a bit of online research and figured I’d switch for a bit and see how I go. Bought mine online from Cytoplan :)

Pinkstars2501 · 11/06/2019 19:17

@ValidUser I actually do think I see a VERY faint line! Although I do have line eyes after convincing myself of the same the other day even though it was too early Grin

Tashdreams · 11/06/2019 19:16

@KittieKath interesting video! It makes me wonder how much of the folic acid we are taking actually goes to benefit us and our future pregnancies. If 50% of the population have this genetic mutation that prevents us transforming the folic acid into folate, I really hope that it works and that it's doing us the benefit that it should!

@MrsEG thank you so much for your experience - like you said, it seems to be going down, just very slowly. I'm happy now I've had AF arrive, so I'll just keep going this cycle as normal. I'm taking it as a positive that our bodies wanted to hang on to the hormones for so long x

ValidUser · 11/06/2019 19:11

@Imjustme2019 this is a chronic thing. Every month I convince myself I see a line. It's more of a running joke with myself at this point. 😂

Imjustme2019 · 11/06/2019 19:06

@Larrydavid sorry you're having a rough time, I felt like that at the weekend. Feeling more positive now, its blooming AF that does it sending our hormones all over the place. I was explaining to my Mum on the Saturday how I could say 'pair of shoes' as that's what I was looking at right then and burst into tears, low and behold the tears started, OVER SHOES!!!

@ValidUser I'm sorry I can't see anything yet, my phone isn't the greatest for closr up stuff unfortunately.

@Kiza smoothie wasn't too bad, I couldn't drink it all though, I think I put too much flaxseed mix in (ground with sunflower and pumpkin seeds). I reckon if I tweak it I'll get it tasting nicer. More blueberries maybe. @purplefig thanks, will be trying it again, helps to hear how yours turned out so I know to try it again.

ValidUser · 11/06/2019 18:50

I'm squinting at something. At the same time, this happens every month. #imaginationpregnancy

Thanks ladies. It wasn't a bad day I only did a few hours to ease me back in. Came in to 401 emails! Absolutely shattered now! X

MrsEG · 11/06/2019 18:31

@LokiCat Thanks me and the dog had a great day! DH is home now too, very worse for wear but so pleased to have him home; a night infront of Black Mirror awaits!

@purplefig Thanks so much lovely; you always know the right thing to say! How are you feeling?

@starkid Keeping everything crossed for you this week.

@ValidUser I can’t see any pics either! But I’m keeping very hopeful for you this week.

@MrsH497 So Glad it’s gone okay and the new role is good! Take it easy this week.

@ELW85 If Sunday is only 8DPO I would definitely wait - it’s highly likely to be negative no matter what. Try and hang on til at least 10, if not 12. Fingers crossed!

@Larrydavid Thank you so much. Sorry you are feeling emotional but it’s completely normal. Do look after yourself this week, let yourself be sad about it - have some ice cream, go on a nice walk, take a long bath! Really indulge in some self care xx

@twinkleyes35 Hello and welcome!

MrsEG · 11/06/2019 18:22

Hi @Tashdreams, I have quite a bit of experience on this one! So, as you say, 5 or under is negative/not pregnant, so you are extremely close. At 7, you wouldn’t even get a positive test. I have had a level of 15 before now (so again, in the grey area) but there was no action - it was just my body taking its time to get rid of all the hormone. If you were really worried, you could try a test in a day or two - but you could just be torturing yourself. With my most recent, I had a HCG level of 7 just like yourself but did go back to the EPU for another to be sure and in 2 days it was down to 2.

I’d say if you’re worried, and can’t get to the GP, either check with a test (to see if it is increasing) or go to your EPU, for blood work.

It’s very very annoying how long HCG hangs around in your system and a big reason why they will always say to wait for one AF before trying again, and that usually means it’s well on its way off.

Good luck, I know it’s super frustrating x

Tashdreams · 11/06/2019 15:32

Hi ladies, looking for some advice really, as you may remember, I had a verrrry long 8week cycle post MMC - AF arrived and lasted 4-5 days as normal, my bbt has dropped and am currently on CD12 with a nice level bbt.

I had a BFN a few days before af arrived.

I had bloods taken on cd6 just to confirm my hormone levels had dropped - it had been booked prior to af arriving - I just got my results today. My HGC has come back as 7.
The gp has marked it as normal / no action.

My concern is that I've done some research and learnt the following:

An hCG level of less than 5 mIU/mL is considered negative for pregnancy, and anything above 25 mIU/mL is considered positive for pregnancy. An hCG level between 6 and 24 mIU/mL is considered a grey area, and you'll likely need to be retested to see if your levels rise to confirm a pregnancy

Has anyone else had raised levels post MMC, should I be concerned? Everything seems to be happening as it should this cycle but I'm so anxious to be trying again, I'm worried the level of 7 is going to have an affect or there's something underlying that I'm unaware of.
I've asked to speak with my gp but can't get a phone consultation til 27/6. Any experiences or advice would be appreciated x

ELW85 · 11/06/2019 14:52

@LokiCat - no hassle at all - I’ll give it a go :)
The appointment is tomorrow. Starting to get nervous, but know it’s for the best!

LokiCat · 11/06/2019 14:51

@ELW85 You can PM users but I don't think it works through the app. Only through the website.
If it's too much of a hassle don't worry about it! I'll see if I can have a look at getting the book maybe.
Did you have your appointment today?

ELW85 · 11/06/2019 13:20

@LokiCat - I’m so sorry, looks like MN is having an age meltdown! I’ll try and post pictures from the book later if I can. Not sure if you can DM people on here so I don’t spam the thread?

@purplefig - I’ve been dipping in and out of it as I need to. It’s great though, and lovely to have advice all in one place rather than trying to validate loads of internet sources!
How are you feeling? I hope pregnancy is treating you well so far :)

LokiCat · 11/06/2019 13:07

I don't know if MN is having issues, but none of the photos previously posted are loading for me anymore either 🤔

ValidUser · 11/06/2019 12:53

Thanks everyone!

I'm lacking in hope enough that I collected my new prescription. But not totally hopeless yet!

LokiCat · 11/06/2019 12:22

@ELW85 thank you! I have attached the chart again, if it shows this time? I did google some examples of positive BBT chart, but other examples would be helpful, please!
I may have a look see at the book. It's good to have something to turn to when you've got different worries.
Yeah, it makes sense waiting. 8dpo is quite early still and it'll probably dishearten you if it's bfn.
Aww I'm sure he'll really appreciate a belated Father's Day cats.

@ValidUser the chart looks promising!

@MrsH497 glad your new role is okay. I hope the rest of the day goes well x

@Larrydavid so sorry you felt like that yesterday. It's normal to have so many emotions about this (especially since you're on AF), please don't feel embarrassed. I hope you have a better day today! Have a little treat to cheer you up tonight/over the weekend?
