@purplefig yup, gp said to be patient & call her if there's nothing in 2 more weeks. That was last thurs, so 8 more days 😂🙈
As for the name, I agree you can still claim it, 100%! 😄

1990shopefulftm · 22/05/2019 16:14

I've never been particularly patient with AF(apart from it giving me knee pains on day one, it's not been uncomfortable at all since that start of my 20s) but want these next 3 days to go quickly to start BDing. Have a BBQ with DH's work colleagues on sunday to look forward to and at least i can just say i had health issues and that will explain my lack of drinking.

purplefig · 22/05/2019 16:02

@Lozzlepop oh yeah, I'd totally still use the name - we're not really friends anymore and live ages apart. Hence the crazy-making. Urghh.

Lozzlepop · 22/05/2019 16:00

@MrsEG sounds like a pretty epic day 😂

@purplefig Yeah it really does, I would like to go more but can't due to work constraints 😒 Ooooh that's a really good idea!
That's fine you used to work with her so she's not a close friend, I would say that's fair game!

purplefig · 22/05/2019 15:43

@Tashdreams oh I do feel for you - that is a super long cycle. Have you been to see GP about it yet?

@Lozzlepop sounds like a good effort! I think if you can find something you like it really does make all the difference. I'm with on yoga - it's a shame it's so expensive. I always ask for passes for my birthday Grin.

@MrsEG the best kind of lunch. (And what a lovely friend)! I did an epic lifting session this morning, had a super healthy smoothie for breakfast and a salad for lunch.....suddenly ravenous and am consequently making oven chips. Ahh working from home perks (and pits).

In today's edition of TCC-be-crazy-making, I've just seen a woman I used to work with has given birth and she's named her lovely new baby with the name I'd one day like to use. And it made me well up. (Luckily this was not in person). JFC I need to get a grip.

cupcakesandglitter · 22/05/2019 15:08

Thanks for tagging me @ValidUser these threads move too quick!! Hope you're all well xx

MrsEG · 22/05/2019 14:34

@Lozzlepop I went for a long run today for the first time in weeks.... came home to find a friend had sent me a chocolate hamper in the post. Had 4 different kinds of Reese’s for lunch 🤷‍♀️

MrsR16 · 22/05/2019 13:53

Hey ladies! Just marking my place cos I'm a super nosey cow and love seeing how you're all progressing! Xx

Lozzlepop · 22/05/2019 13:30

@purplefig hmmmmm thats a tough one, after I have been I feel great but I don't really like going to classes by myself 😂I used to attempt running but I hate it. I love Yoga and especially hot yoga but its sooooo expensive so I just go to try gym and do HIIT twice a week plus I walk between buildings quite a bit, I figure somethings better than nothing right 😉so probs go-cos-i-know-i-should

Tashdreams · 22/05/2019 13:28

Just marking my place ladies - it's like Groundhog Day here, cd54 & still no af.

35, TTC #1, MMC at 11 weeks in early March. Still waiting to start my 4th cycle.

purplefig · 22/05/2019 13:26

@Lozzlepop hey, a girls gotta eat! Kudos on going to the gym - are you an enthusiastic exerciser or do-it-cos-ya-should kind of person? I was always the latter until I discovered lifting (and yoga....but I like the kind of sloooow yin yoga that could barely be called exercise Grin ).

Lozzlepop · 22/05/2019 13:16

Back from the gym and scoffed down a plate of pasta bake 😂not quite sure of the logic there but hey!

Mrskcam · 22/05/2019 11:43

@dahlia123 I will try, I'm so impatient though

Mrskcam · 22/05/2019 11:42

@purplefig will be a test of my will power 😂

@flossy12 agreed, the anticipation makes it drag 😩 that's a good deal 😂 your OH has great powers of persuasion 😉

dahlia123 · 22/05/2019 11:42

@purplefig The pea thing 😮 I stick peas in most meals if I haven't had enough other veg that day.

Sending love to you and your husband @MrsEG

@MrsH497 glad you have some time. It sounds like that GP isn't as understanding as they should be. Can you see anyone else for future appointments?

Try and hold off @Mrskcam

purplefig · 22/05/2019 11:38

@Mrskcam wait until AF is due if you can.

flossy12 · 22/05/2019 11:36

@Mrskcam wait till Friday 😆 I'm testing Saturday was about to cave this morning but OH made a deal to DTD instead 🤦🏼‍♀️😆

Why does time go so slow in the TWW

Mrskcam · 22/05/2019 11:29

@purplefig not sure whether to test again today or wait until fri when af is due

purplefig · 22/05/2019 11:20

@Mrskcam possibly - but I think it's not a totally reliable method to go by and varies hugely from person to person. I'll keep my fingers crossed it's a good sign for you!

MrsH497 · 22/05/2019 10:58

@MrsEG yeah we were due back to work tomorrow but sergeants have said they don't expect us in. I don't feel ready to deal with other people's shit yet! X

Mrskcam · 22/05/2019 10:56

@purplefig ohhh, so it being this high could possibly be a good thing? fingers crossed

purplefig · 22/05/2019 10:53

@Mrskcam as I understand, it's supposed to be lower and harder (like the tip of your nose) before AF, and leading up to ovulation it's supposed to be higher and softer (like your lips).

Mrskcam · 22/05/2019 10:50

Can someone tell me what your cervix position is supposed to be like about leading up to af, due on in 3 days and my cervix is so high I can't even reach it. I've sorta checked in the past and can't say I've ever had my cervix go so high that I couldn't reach it at all!?

purplefig · 22/05/2019 10:38

(Also, FWIW, those studies were probably done on rats which as we all know doesn't necessarily translate to humans. I didn't mean to scaremonger...I was just genuinely surprised to read it and thought that while we were talking about vits/minerals it was worth mentioning just in case anyone else happened to be a big fan of pea protein!)

purplefig · 22/05/2019 10:35

@ELW85 I know. Barmy. I haven't got time to dig into the research properly myself, but that blog post does a good job of going through it. I'm not sure how high your pea consumption would have to be to have an effect, but as someone who has a daily pea protein smoothie...I'm cutting back!

@Lozzlepop I know the feeling. Really thought the pregnacare was a 2 month supply but realised the other day it's just 1! Joy.
