@Lozzlepop I'd read something similar but my gp said no it's a year standard across the board. I'm moving home in the next few weeks so will wait until I go to my new go practise and ask again.

Lozzlepop · 27/05/2019 10:39

@Kiza sorry to hear about your MCs from what I have read online if you are over 35 they should offer help if you have been trying for 6 months so I would push your doctor. Hope you get some answers soon!

Kiza · 27/05/2019 10:37

@Bettythecat @Dollywilde I feel you ladies. In the same boat, I've miscarried twice, I'm 38 and we've been trying since Oct last year. Went to the doctor due to my age and 2mc and she said until we've been trying for a year they won't do any tests.
2 of my close friends already had children in their early 20's and tried for their second children in their early 30's and both struggled. 1 of them went to the gp after a year of trying, had tests and all came back fine she went for acupuncture, changed her diet and then fell pregnant but that was after a hard year of trying for her second.
My other friend has been trying for nearly 2 years and again all their tests have come back fine so gp won't do anything for them as they are both late 20's.

Is so disheartening at times, then exciting, then anxious, it's a roller coaster of emotions for sure!!
Equally I've had some friends who fell pregnant by accident or at the drop of a hat. It's so unpredictable 😞 we just have to do what is right for each of us. I tested this morning 8dpo and bfn, will keep the faith for us all!! 👍🏼👍🏼💜

ELW85 · 27/05/2019 10:23

@Bettythecat - I hear you. And it’s awful when everyone around you is conceiving straight away or without trying when you’re trying so hard.
I’m not sure about the NHS age restrictions etc but I would say if it’s causing you to feel low or anxious, then I’m sure they would help?
Good luck with your tests though! It’s a great idea :)

Bettythecat · 27/05/2019 09:41

@ELW85 I'm not at a year yet and I'm only 30 so the NHS wouldn't do anything for me. I've paid for some blood tests that will be done on Thursday I think if af arrives Wednesday so that might give me some further information. I know it can't be the case that everyone conceived easily but we have a lot of friends (in fact everyone we know who has babies) who conceived the first or second time and in two cases completely by accident. I'm so happy for them but so heartbroken.

Delilah7 · 27/05/2019 09:33

@Lozzlepop that's how I felt. Unfortunately my best friend just went through it and luckily I knew what to say, do and tell her to do to support her. Defo has opened my eyes! Xx

ELW85 · 27/05/2019 09:29

@Dollywilde, @Bettythecat - sorry to hear that ladies :( we’ll get there though!

@Bettythecat - really sorry to hear you’re feeling so low. It isn’t much comfort, but the way that I look at it is that we’re all in a similar boat, so I’m thinking that maybe successfully conceiving quickly isn’t that common?
If it’s on your mind, maybe go to the docs for an MOT? It’s peace of mind at the end of the day, and a step closer to resolving any blockers if they do need to help with anything :)

rose555 · 27/05/2019 09:24

Hi everyone, haven’t been on the group for a while as DH and I are away for our wedding anniversary. Anyway just saw the new thread and wanted to mark my place - 32, cycle 6. Will check in again once we’re home.

Lozzlepop · 27/05/2019 09:23

@Dollywilde @Bettythecat sorry to hear about your BFNs but you aren't out until AF arrives so don't give up hope yet 🤞🏻

Bettythecat · 27/05/2019 09:15

@Dollywilde same. Af due Wednesday/Thursday. Had craving to POAS and it was a BFN of course.

How do you keep going with TTC when it seems so hopeless? We have been actively trying since last October and weren't not trying in August and September before that. I feel like my life is in limbo and it will never happen for us. Starting to feel so low and desperate.

Dollywilde · 27/05/2019 09:12

BFN at cd30/11 or 12dpo Sad

Lozzlepop · 27/05/2019 08:52

@Delilah7 it is such a personal choice I was actually surprised that out of my group of friends it hadn't happened to anyone and in a way I am glad that now one of us has experienced it so can always give advice.

@LokiCat I am jealous you are still in bed, I have been so snoozy all weekend 😴currently trying not to fall asleep at my desk!

LokiCat · 27/05/2019 08:30

Morning ladies! Having a lazy morning in bed currently.

I'm glad many of you felt comfortable to speak up about your miscarriage.
I was pretty open about my miscarriage to. I initially thought I'd keep quiet about it, so only mentioned it to my parents, two close friends and my manager (mostly due to needed time off work but he was amazing about it). I'm so glad I decided to talk about it - i felt so much more emotional when I kept it to myself but the support I received from those around me when I told them was unbelievable and it helped me heal so much faster!

Delilah7 · 27/05/2019 08:10

@Lozzlepop it's just everyone's preference but I wasn't ashamed or didn't want to hide it. Lots of people unfortunately go through it and you never know that until you actually talk about it! Xx

Lozzlepop · 27/05/2019 08:09

@Delilah7 I totally agree I thought I would and up getting depressed and withdrawn if I didn’t speak about it, I’m so glad that I did!

Delilah7 · 27/05/2019 07:26

@LokiCat thank you lovely ❤️

I can weigh in on the miscarriage opening up too. My OH never really understood why I wanted to talk to others about it. But I thought if I didn't it would eat me up inside. It's nothing to be ashamed of it's just if you're comfortable with sharing something like that... it did me the world of good x

Pinksunset1 · 27/05/2019 00:20

(And don’t be silly, so lovely to hear from you!)

Dollywilde · 26/05/2019 23:00

@fivebyfive2 DH is obsessed with the idea of a villa fan child if we get a bfp and they go up tomorrow! Genuinely if it’s two yeses I think he’ll be hungover on Tuesday Grin

Fivebyfive2 · 26/05/2019 22:48

Hi ladies, really hope you don't mind me constantly being on here still, but I love checking in sometimes just have to reply!! Xx

@MrsEG, loving your bucket list idea! Sounds like a fab plan and you and your h are an amazing team xx

@MrsH497, glad the evening with the inlaws went well and that you're feeling thearepised (not a word but hey ho!) Keep doing whatever works for you xx

ELW85, what a lovely message, made me emotional!!

Good luck all those testing tomorrow, I'll be checking in for sure 😀

Had a lovely evening with the sil, we went to see Lucy Worsley talk about Queen Victoria at Birmingham Town Hall (nerds!) it was very interesting. We had some nice chats, apparently my family managed the 'not getting carried away' thing for about a week and are now already planning things such as 'how to ensure child is a villa fan' 'trips to the zoo' and 'spreading presents out between Christmas and the current eta of Jan'... So not OTT at all then?! 😂

Dollywilde · 26/05/2019 22:44

@ELW85 I have had a drink but I really couldn’t agree with you more x

Thanks @lozzlepop! Smile

ELW85 · 26/05/2019 22:35

@MrsH497 - I’m so glad to hear you’ve had a lovely evening!! It’s most certainly deserved and hot tub session sounds wonderful :)

I’m not sure where you’re based, but there’s a fantastic hotel in Yorkshire (Crab and Lobster) with some beautiful private hot tub suites if you’re ever looking for a night away.

MrsH497 · 26/05/2019 22:17

Evening ladies 😘 @ELW85 that is the sweetest msg!

Well had the in laws up had dinner with my parents and a hot tub sesh tonight. It was so what I needed we've talked about the miscarriage and it's been therapeutic.

@cupcakesandglitter Glad your mum is getting there. Hope you're doing ok lovely.

Agree with your sentiments @ELW85 Lucky to know you amazing ladies xx

Lozzlepop · 26/05/2019 22:06

@Dollywilde exactly! I feel there is some sort of stigma or people are embarrassed to talk about it but I think we need to remember that we haven’t done anything wrong! I’m so glad to have had the support of everyone around us ❤️ I have everything crossed for you for a bfp tomorrow lovely 🤞🏻 Otherwise we know you just really dislike Lacoste 😂
