@MrsEG I agree with what @purplefig said, don't beat yourself up about it xxx

purplefig · 04/06/2019 11:30

@MrsEG don't beat yourself up - you've had a lot on your mind lately. Good idea to tell the consultant but as you say, probs not the highest chances of it happening this month anyway.

@orangeloo I have Maca in my morning 'fertility smoothie'. Haven't done much research tbh!

orangeloo · 04/06/2019 11:26

Hi guys, had three days away from thread and missed a good couple hundred posts. Congratulations to any bfp's I may have missed. Hope u are all well.

Has anyone ever used Maca? I'm interested in it to increase progesterone.

MrsEG · 04/06/2019 11:25

@purplefig @cupcakesandglitter Thanks both, gotten myself in to a right tizz this morning over it. We really didn’t want to get preggo this month but I was so sure i’d fallen in to a safe-zone!! I guess I’ll just make sure I tell the consultant on Thursday that me and DH have still been DTD. It’s so unlikely we’d catch anyway without even trying. Feel like a right royal dickhead this morning though!

cupcakesandglitter · 04/06/2019 11:21

@MrsEG Thankyou, I'm gonna wait again until next week, I don't have any FRERs left and I'm saving my digi for when I get a BFP! When I have EWCM I'll usually ovulate on the last day I have it, so if I were in your position I would've ovulated Friday/Saturday but it is different for everyone I believe. Don't worry about it, you have 24 hours after ov anyway to catch the egg xxxx

purplefig · 04/06/2019 11:20

@MrsEG As I understand, EWCM is in the lead-up to ovulation and it typically dries up after ovulation. In taking charge of your fertility they say it's a really good indicator that you're fertile. Sorry that's not what you wanted to hear!!

@cupcakesandglitter sorry about BFN, they never get any easier.

@PaintingOwls yeah that sounds strange...no idea just didn't want to read and run!

MrsEG · 04/06/2019 11:16

@cupcakesandglitter Oh Hun so sorry it was a BFN and you’re feeling I’m limbo about it all. That really sucks and I really feel for you. Maybe give it a few days and see what happens?

MrsEG · 04/06/2019 11:15

@FlapJackered I’ve no idea what the sharp stabbing pains might be but I’m keeping my FX that it is a good sign for you!!!

@Lozzlepop I work so well at home, whenever I need a good admin day I just stay home and get shit done!! No one coming to my desk bothering me all day, it’s bliss!!
Enjoy those cured meats and booze!!

@MrsH497 i’m So sorry to hear that. You know you always have all of us, and I sincerely mean that xx

Ladies I have a question about EWCM. I never usually really get it, and if I do it isn’t much at all. Hence why I’ve used Ava/OPKs, Preseed etc. Anyway last week I had EWCM on Thursday and a big glob of it on Friday. Because I don’t know much about it I assumed that meant I was ovulating those days. Me and DH have DTD Sunday and Monday but I’ve just seen a post saying EWCM is pre Ovulation - is this true?? I’m really panicking now and feel like we’ve been idiots. Really didn’t want to try before our fertility testing. Hopefully I’m panicking for nothing??

cupcakesandglitter · 04/06/2019 11:10

@ValidUser @LokiCat @MrsEG @FlapJackered @ELW85 no idea what DPO I am, I'm CD35 though.. stupidly used my FRER, BFN as expected but more CM this morning. Honestly don't know what's going on, I hate being in limbo 😩

@FlapJackered implantation pains maybe? X

Sorry AF arrived @Lozzlepop xxx

@Meenabeena eid Mubarak x

@MrsH497 I'm sorry, that's shit - but I'm glad you have your real friends there to support you xxx

MrsH497 · 04/06/2019 10:50

Hi ladies hope everyone is doing good. Wish I could work from home then I'd have stuff to keep me occupied while I'm signed off but wouldn't have to go into work!

Definitely found out who are good friends sort of surprised at some who have dropped me.

Think I'll make sure dinner is prepped for when DH gets home.

Xx

Lozzlepop · 04/06/2019 10:37

@MrsEG thats really amazing! Your company clearly have a good ethos when it comes to the work life balance, I actually feel I have been more productive today than I usually am and not having the 1.5 hour commute this morning was just fab!

@FlapJackered hahaha I know, at least she's come today so will hopefully have a few AF free days on holiday, at least I know i can fully indulge in all the cured meats sea food and cocktails!! Good luck for Friday 🤞🏻

PaintingOwls · 04/06/2019 10:19

So after heavy bleeding on Saturday and Sunday, Monday was light as anything and today there's basically nothing there. I have never had such a short period.

I think it's unlikely to be implantation bleeding because I got a BFN at various points, and there was just so much blood and cramping, but SOMETHING is going on. My periods are usually 6 days!

purplefig · 04/06/2019 10:13

@FlapJackered temp drop + sharp stabbing pains - could it be implantation?! Hope we both get to test + get BFPs on Friday Grin

FlapJackered · 04/06/2019 10:08

Help! I have woken up to sharp stabbing pains in my pelvis. It comes and goes when I move, has anyone had this before? It's so painful. Don't have a clue what is going on!
9dpo but temp has dropped almost to coverline and definitely otherwise don't feel pregnant at the moment.

@Lozzlepop 😂 I was going to say just poas and she will turn up! It seems to happen so often on here. Have an amazing holiday! ☀️

@purplefig that chart looks good!!! Keeping fingers crossed it keeps on rising for you!

@Kiza It does hurt just a little bit when they put the needle in but then it's a actually weirdly relaxing! I am a complete wimp too.
Although she did forget one in my ear last time and I went to itch it and it started bleeding everywhere which was a bit alarming!

@MrsEG thanks lovely!
@purplefig yes I am testing on Friday. 😬Although feeling very weird today with sharp cramps and I feel as if I am going to come on. Also temp dropped a bit today so I feel like af might arrive before Friday. Otherwise we can be testing twins on Friday! 👯

MrsEG · 04/06/2019 09:40

@ImMeantToBeWorking FRERs are best (first response early results); typically they give a clear positive a few days before AF is due. You’re right about CB digital, they are much less sensitive and best for AF or later. Good luck!

@purplefig Well I’ve come in to 700 emails... it’s gonna be a very long Tuesday!

@Lozzlepop I work from home a lot, my company are very flexible and focus a lot on the work life balance, which is awesome. I can WFH whenever I need to really. Considering I came from a job that was strictly office based and had us frequently doing 10-12 hour days I didn’t know what to do with myself when I first started here haha! It’s amazing though, and staff retention and overall well-being/happiness is so good here. I wish all companies would take note and follow suit!

Lozzlepop · 04/06/2019 09:32

Thanks ladies you are awesome!

@ELW85 this is the first time I have done it, its relatively new that we are allowed to but a 3 hour commute to work and back for 3 hours 15 mins of work seems silly, I am going to get my nails done at 11:30 so looking forward to that then getting my hair done later so will use this afternoon to tidy and get packed. DP is still waiting for his holiday clothes to arrive lol!

@MrsEG thanks I am hoping for the same! Hope today goes quickly, I was actually glad to get back to some sort of routine like you say! Roll on annual leave!

@purplefig it is sounding promising so far

Having a good giggle to myself about POAS and AF turning up.... how does she know?? 😂

ImMeantToBeWorking · 04/06/2019 09:32

Hello ladies, ye have been busy while I have been offline - I have alot of catching up to do!!

I hope you are all well?

I was just thinking, AF due the 9th, I am a serial tester and I would love to be able to tell DP on my birthday (the 8th) if I am pregnant. And if I am not I will drown my sorrows that evening! So, what are the best early response tests? I have heard digital (like CB) aren't great at early detection. What would you recommend? Is First Response the best? Based in Ireland but I could order online. Thanks

purplefig · 04/06/2019 09:16

@ELW85 Glad you're having a fab day already! And great news that your LP is looking normal. Do you tell DH when you're fertile etc.? Thanks for the well wishes.....I only drank about 1/3 of my coffee this morning as I suddenly remembered this thread Grin.

@Lozzlepop thanks lovely - I really didn't think I was in with a shot this month (not sure why) so it's a bit weird. Have an amazing time!!

@MrsEG thanks lovely! I'll update either way. Unless AF arrives before then Grin. All the best with your return to work, I hope it's not too bad. Let us know how you get on.

Oooo @FlapJackered are you testing on Friday too?

MrsEG · 04/06/2019 09:09

@Lozzlepop I really hope it’s a nice pain-free, short and sweet AF for you! Not much on the agenda today - back in work today post-MC. Looking forward to getting back in to my normal routine but also dreading it a bit! (Luckily I have a weeks annual leave booked for the end of the month though!!)

@purplefig Oh I really really hope those temps stay high for you for the next few days!! Got my fingers crossed for you and @FlapJackered for this Friday, I’ll be checking MN as soon as I wake up!!

@ELW85 A stud horse 😂😂 I know what you mean!! Annoyingly the last two days DH has been all over me, typical on a month we’re not even trying!! I hope he retains this optimism next month!

I think 1000 posts is a full thread so yes will make sure folk are all tagged - I can’t believe how quickly we fill these things haha!!

ELW85 · 04/06/2019 09:02

@Lozzlepop - working from home is awesome!! I hope it flies over for you and you have a wonderful holiday :)
We certainly won’t move on without you and will tag you in the next thread!

Lozzlepop · 04/06/2019 08:51

@LokiCat thanks hun was inevitable it was going to happen today or tomorrow wasn't it lol! Fingers crossed she's kind to me!

@purplefig ooooh I will have everything crossed for you on Friday!

@ELW85 It is a glorious day here too, I have a washing on ready to get hung out before the sun goes- making the most of this working from home its great!!

Ladies I know we are semi close to being full on this thread, when you start a new one can someone please tag me, I very much doubt that I will be on from tomorrow with being away for the week but don't want to miss out ☺️ you guys are all too fab for that!! Its like having the biggest group of friends ever, I love it ❤️

ELW85 · 04/06/2019 08:24

Morning ladies!

It’s a gorgeous day so I’ve woken up full of the joys and positivity :) I hope you all have an amazing day! And couldn’t agree more, @ValidUser - I love this group!

@Purplefig - great news on the temps and the LP!! Got everything crossed for you it keeps going in that direction!

@cupcakesandglitter - that all sounds SO promising!! Good luck for when you test :)

Did a bit of digging yesterday (sometimes over-analysing can be productive apparently) and I found that you actually get a second Estrogen surge about a week after O. This is one of the things in my LP I was worried about, but it looks normal.
So now, I’ve come full circle to just trying to relax about it all (impossible!)

CB is still staying quiet but going to start DTD today as I’m expecting O on Friday. Need to be more strategic this cycle as DH was not enjoying being treated like a stud horse last month 😂

purplefig · 04/06/2019 08:10

@Kiza I didn't find any of it remotely painful, but she did say she has to use smaller needles on some people as they do. I think it all depends on your pain tolerance - but to me it just felt like a little sharp scratch and then it's in. No pain when moving them. (Making it sound like I'm well 'ard 😂)

@MrsEG @LokiCat eeeeek. Could be an implantation dip. I've had verrrrry minor on and off cramps for a few days. Trying to stay grounded and not get carried away....and failing. Problem is, I don't have an expected AF date as this is first month temping so no idea what LP is and period has previously varied 27 - 36 days. Am testing on fri (13dpo) if no AF. Temp taking has suddenly got tense!!

Kiza · 04/06/2019 08:00

@MrsEG keep going with the acupuncture, a few friends of mine did it when TTC after approx a year of no joy and both fell pregnant really quickly. I'd love to do it but hate needles!! 😫 has acupuncture about 10 years ago for eczema and it cleared up so quick but the idea of them needles again and when they 'twizzle' them it kills me!!

@purplefig @FlapJackered how have you both found your acupuncture? Does it hurt when they 'twizzle' them to get the meridian point?

LokiCat · 04/06/2019 07:58

@Lozzlepop yayy! So happy she finally showed up. Hope it isn't too heavy and doesn't get in the way of your relaxing holiday!!

@FlapJackered haha thanks! I just hope it continues!

@purplefig looks promising! From what I was reading it should stay elevated for 14 days after ovulation (with a dip in the middle for implantation) 🤞🏽🤞🏽

@MrsEG thanks! Just hope I can get back at a reasonable time
