Hi ladies, hope you're all well 😊
Used my first CB digital OPK today - still low. Fw starts next week I think!
Quick question, what BBT thermometer do you all use (if you temp)? My one beeps ridiculously loudly and woke DH this morning after his night shift. Never noticed how loud it was until I was trying to shut it off!! 🙈

@MrsH497 so sorry to hear that happened ❤️
I received a letter about my booking appointment a few days after I miscarried, as well, which started with 'congratulations on your pregnancy'..
When I called them to cancel it they were already aware so I imagine it was processed really slowly 🤷🏽‍♀️ I hope you're okay. Chocolate sounds brilliant!

@ValidUser lots of follicular thoughts for you xx

@Lola871 hope she doesn't show! 🤞🏽🤞🏽

ValidUser · 28/05/2019 16:49

Also @Lola871 you have great self control not testing!

@Lola871 think juicy eggs!

Lovely day here in the west of Ireland. Got some gardening done and spending time with my fabulous cats.

@ValidUser thinking follicular thoughts (don't know what they are but I'm doing it anyway 🤣)

@MrsH497 definitely chocolate! That's annoying that the letter came through, I guess it was processed too early and didn't get cancelled, but I know that doesn't help.

Despite thinking AF was on the way today it hasn't yet kicked in. I'm fairly sure it's coming though, and won't officially be late til Friday (based on longest previous cycle). Holding off testing for now after doing an IC on Saturday which was negative.

ValidUser · 28/05/2019 15:55

So before the next scan, I've filled myself with milk and pineapple and salmon. After the trigger I'll move to the Brazil nuts and keep on the salmon.

Think follicular thoughts for me!

@Bettythecat I can't fault the antenatal team she was lovely but it shouldn't have happened. The letter has a date of 13/5 so it's taken 2 weeks to get to me. I saw the gp on 22/5.

Nhs don't seem to always be sympathetic about MC really I have found. So annoyed I'd been doing so much better as well. Chocolate and a cuppa is the answer I feel

Bettythecat · 28/05/2019 15:00

@MrsH497 I know exactly how you feel. When I had my MMC I found it totally bizarre that I was made to sit in the waiting room for literally hours in the women's clinic surrounded by pregnant women and babies. After it had been confirmed to me that there had been no growth I even had to go and sit back out with them all- it seemed crazily insensitive and something they could so easily change by having two waiting rooms.

ValidUser · 28/05/2019 14:52

@MrsH497 that's so annoying and upsetting. X

MrsH497 · 28/05/2019 14:41

@PippaPug I've spoken to him on the phone. We are now even discussing the fact should we get pregnant again we would consider going private. Although the antenatal clinic were lovely.

Phoned mum as well just annoyed as well that the gp should've contacted them so they didn't send the letter

PippaPug · 28/05/2019 14:32

@MrsH497 - oh no lovely, what a shock for you to open that letter when you wasn’t expecting it, are you able to contact your husband, is he able to come home early? Or is there a friend who can come round? Flowers

MrsH497 · 28/05/2019 14:26

@PippaPug not great post came through with the antenatal appointment despite my gp appointment. Spoke to the antenatal clinic who said the gp should've contacted them so once again been let down and in floods of tears

ValidUser · 28/05/2019 14:20

Thanks @Lozzlepop @ImMeantToBeWorking and @Bettythecat!

Welcome @ReluctantRunner.

@MrsH497 I hope you are ok, my DP went back to work a week before I did, I found trying to keep myself busy helped!

PippaPug · 28/05/2019 13:36

@orangeloo - ah strange! I find I either get pregnancy dreams or wedding related dreams - they are worse if I have gone to bed and randomly thought about either of them or seen something related online.

@ Lozzlepop - where are you heading on holiday? Bet you can’t wait

@paintingowls that really made me laugh about your water gun boob Grin

@validUser - thanks for the link, I skimmed it as I was dishing up lunch but I got the gist of it - if it gets any worse I will take something I think, I have a deep heat patch on atm, not sure if it’s helping or not! I have booked a physio apt next week and I can’t wait, I’m struggling to bend and in my job it makes it quite difficult!

@MrsH497 - how are you doing? Flowers

MrsH497 · 28/05/2019 12:57

So DH has gone back to work today first day back after holiday/MC/BH. We are so used to being on the same shifts but he's taken promotion so no longer get the same days off.
Tough day today I think

XjustagirlX · 28/05/2019 12:26

Also the water gun boob sounds amazing!!!

XjustagirlX · 28/05/2019 12:25

So this is my first month of TTC and doing OPKs. The test line was slowly getting darker and darker each day but it was never a positive test. But the past couple of days the test line has disappeared. TTC is so confusing.

ImMeantToBeWorking · 28/05/2019 11:30

@ValidUser thinking of you!! I hope tomorrow goes well for you.

@orangeloo @PaintingOwls I am so glad I am not the only one. Only in my dream AF so heavy I decided to put on a pull up nappy. I have been sleeping so bad recently and I think it is taking it toll on me today and I don't feel great for it!! I would love to skip off work but I am here till 6 and then I go straight to scouts!! I just want to go home to bed!! Sad

Somw of us give us so much when TTC, and then others get pregnant without even trying. It hardly seems fair does it??

Lozzlepop · 28/05/2019 11:01

@ValidUser sounds like a good week indeed! Good luck for your scan tomorrow!

@Bettythecat glad to hear you are feeling more positive today and that the supplements seem to be doing the trick!

@Jessikka aw that sounds great fun!(maybe not the hangover) Theres deffo been a lot of bank holiday fun going on throughout the group

ValidUser · 28/05/2019 10:43

@PippaPug have a look at this. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5165076/

Not advising you, but in your shoes I'd take it.

Morning all 👋🏻

Just popping on to say hi whilst I nurse my hangover! I went to watch Spice Girls last night and couldn't not have a drink... or 5.

Hope you're all well ☺️ AF just finished so onto OPKs and all that jazz over the next few days!

Bettythecat · 28/05/2019 10:34

@PippaPug ibruprofen is not good for implantation so I would hold off on that until af arrives if you possibly can. Not sure about other painkillers although I think paracetamol is fine.

Woken up feeling sooo much better and more positive today. Slept well which always helps. The red wine probably helped too. My temps have stayed up today too which I am taking as a good sign that my supplements might have boosted my progesterone like I was hoping they had 😊. Will expect a drop tomorrow or the day after ahead of at arriving though.

ValidUser · 28/05/2019 10:30

So I'm drinking piles of milk. Apparently there's some evidence it'll speed up my follicle maturation rates. Next scan tomorrow.

Having a lovely week off work. Lots of sex and getting errands (finally) completed!

Lozzlepop · 28/05/2019 10:21

@Hopingforhappiness1 welcome to the group, sorry to hear about you MC, quite a few of us have experienced losses and I'm happy to hear that you are ready to try again, I am also waiting on AF showing up so we can try again 🤞🏻

@ValidUser ahhhhh thats amazing ☺️

@ReluctantRunner welcome 😊

@cupcakesandglitter ooooh Hugh Jackman Hubba Hubba 😂that must have been amazing! Yes I agree it is so tough on both parties and its so good being able to come on here and chat to others about it!

@PaintingOwls hahahah your boob squirting has given me a good giggle this morning!!

@PippaPug I was at work so it was a pretty uneventful day BUT....its a week tomorrow until we go on holiday! I can't wait! I would agree with @orangeloo or maybe try a deep heat rub or something before reaching for the painkillers?

orangeloo · 28/05/2019 09:13

@PippaPug no I definitely try to avoid thinking about babies in general and especially at night haha.

I'm not telling you to take them but if it were me and I was in real pain I would. Baby is not connected to your blood supply until week 5-6 anyway. Hope you feel better soon.
