@PaintingOwls - Oh god we all do that to ourselves :)
I do the reverse psychology thing in my head of: “might as well test, since I know what the answer is” and then get annoyed at myself!!

We can be our own worst enemy sometimes so I’m really pleased we have this group!!

I hope you have a lovely day today :)

PaintingOwls · 29/05/2019 09:19

ELW85

I had a bit of a low day yesterday in that it felt like every post I’d seen in other threads were BFPs...

Oh my God, yesterday I saw maybe half a dozen newborns or pregnancy announcements in various Facebook hobby groups that I am in! Groups that I joined to take my mind off TTC!! What is going on? Perhaps tis the season Hmm

And thank you, I know. I'm so annoyed at myself for testing early, but I think between finding out a friend was expecting last week and yesterday's assault of babies on Facebook I was hoping against hope that I could have some positive news myself, but I think I just made the situation worse! Smile

ELW85 · 29/05/2019 09:11

@PaintingOwls - sorry to hear about your BFN, but you’re still in until AF!! :)

ELW85 · 29/05/2019 09:10

@LokiCat - so sorry to hear you’re feeling like that; I’d find it hard to delete the photos too. It’s great to hear that DH is being so sweet and supportive though!
They’ve definitely got a knack for picking up on these things :)

I had a bit of a low day yesterday in that it felt like every post I’d seen in other threads were BFPs...but today I’ve woken up thinking; that just means that it’s going to be our turn soon, ladies!

Lots of positive vibes to you all today - have a great one :)

PaintingOwls · 29/05/2019 09:05

Morning all.

I caved this morning (10 DPO) and did an IC test, it was a BFN, naturally.

Saw this article on Facebook this morning, trying to see some kind of bright side? I don't know, I'm terrible at being positive, I tend to wallow and assume the worst. I totally understand what you all mean about it feeling like a pipe dream.

granddesigns

Sorry to hear about your friend Sad hoping your appointments go well and FX for the June bus!

Happy Hump Day ladies

Sorry, I was so tired last night so just catching up on last nights posts now, I feel a bit sniffly today 😒which is not ideal before going on holiday!

@MrsH497Im so sorry to hear that its so bad and they need to sort our errors like that, I hope you are ok! I think things seem to vary greatly by district etc @Bettythecat I'm sorry to hear you were made to sit in the general waiting room, we got put in a side room and at all times a conscious effort was made to keep us separate from ladies waiting for (good) scans which I was thankful for- I guess to the staff it's just sometimes thought of as very clinical.

@ValidUser good luck for the scan - thinking lots of follicily thoughts for you!

@MrsEG sounds like an absolutely fantastic day!!

Hi @Jooloo11 sorry to hear AF got you and that you are feeling down the TTC journey is tough and we go through all the emotions, I know exactly where you are coming from it seems like a finish line that just gets further and further away!

Hope everyone has a fab day!

granddesigns · 29/05/2019 08:28

Just checking in on anticipation of checking out this month. We are still here but close friends suffered a miscarriage over the last week which seems to have tarred our ability to track and do all the testing over the fw which somewhat crept up this time. Managed to dtd a few times as knew it was coming but did opk yesterday (negative but a line) and today (no line) so will be something of a miracle if our spontaneous bd'ing caught it! Got our first consultation for fertility mot in 2 weeks so will hopefully know more then and be ready for June cycle!

flossy12 · 29/05/2019 08:28

@Bettythecat I think I'll just hang on till Monday, I have 4 night shifts starting tomorrow so FMU is hard to pinpoint as my sleeping is all messed up, a good week should also give AF time to show 🙅🏼‍♀️ (hoping it doesn't)

Bettythecat · 29/05/2019 08:19

@Jooloo11 @FlapJackered I definitely feel like it's a pipe dream- like something so unattainable and far away from me right now. But neither of you should ever feel you don't deserve it because you do, you deserve everything the world has to offer so try and tell yourself that.

I've woken up today to another high temp. I am 11DPO. Either means I am (a) pregnant (unlikely as got a BFN Monday and don't have any symptoms) or (b) my hormones are back to normal after mc/my progesterone boosters are working. I normally have an 11/12 (sometimes even 10) day LP so the temps being still high today is good for me. Either way I guess it's a good thing right?! @flossy12 I'm also due today or tomorrow. After being so upset by my BFN Monday I'm not going to test until Friday earliest if af stays away. I predict she arrives tomorrow for me. When are you going to test?

LokiCat · 29/05/2019 08:16

Thanks @FlapJackered @ELW85 @Jooloo11 I'll have a look at those!

@Jooloo11 sorry to hear AF arrived. I know what you mean re having a baby. When I watch shows like One Born Every Minute I desperately want that to be me, but I can't actually imagine being pregnant and having a baby myself. I agree it seems so distant and unlikely.
Hopefully we'll get our bfps and make it a reality 😊

@MrsLBear welcome back. Sorry to hear about your mc but glad you're feeling better to start TTC again.

I've been feeling so off last few days. I keep going back and looking at photos I've kept of the BFP I got in March. I can't seem to delete them but I know it's not healthy to keep looking at them!
DH has been unbelievably sweet, eventhough I haven't mentioned how I'm feeling. Just feel so lucky to have him.

Hope you all have a lovely day ❤️

flossy12 · 29/05/2019 08:12

So AF due today but no sign so far! Although had a BFN on an IC yesterday morning so just a waiting game now 🙄

FlapJackered · 29/05/2019 07:29

@Jooloo11 yes yes yes to everything you said below. I think it is totally natural to feel this way especially when you have been trying for a while. Even when I got pregnant I felt this feeling of it not being real and that I didn't deserve it. X

Welcome back @MrsLBear . So glad to hear you're ok and your body is getting back to normal. I have the same with 3 close friends due within 3 weeks of my due date. It's so hard isn't it. I just hope I am pregnant by then or I think I might not cope with it all very well.

@ValidUser 😂😂😂

Jooloo11 · 28/05/2019 23:15

Hello all! I don't post much, but I do keep up to date with reading the thread, so just to mark my place :

Age: 33
Cycle:8, CD1

So AF arrived for me today, so start of cycle 8. Feeling a bit down about it all.

This is going to be hard to describe, but when AF arrives does anyone else feel somehow that having a baby would be such an incredibly amazing thing, but so amazing that I'm not lucky enough to have it happen to me, sort of thing?? Which is ridiculous, I'm a very lucky person, lovely DH, loving family, healthy etc, but somehow every month I can imagine having a BFP (just never do!) but the idea of holding my own baby just seems soooo distant somehow, like I can't imagine it actually happening, like winning the lottery or something.

Re BBT thermometer, this is the one I have. It was the cheapest one with the best reviews on Amazon. Quiet beep. The only thing is that it says it has a backlight but doesn't (maybe I picked the wrong type though) so when it's dark I need my phone screen to see the temp. Other than that it's great.

Marleym28 · 28/05/2019 22:17

Thanks @Bettythecat
I'll keep my fingers crossed but equally take it with a pinch of salt!

Bettythecat · 28/05/2019 21:53

Welcome back @MrsLBear. Glad to hear you took the time you needed and are feeling a bit back to normal.

@Marleym28 Dont want to get your hopes up but I had a noticeable increase in CM when I was pregnant. Having said that though i think it is due to increased progesterone which happens whether or not you are pg... fingers crossed it's a good sign for you!

Marleym28 · 28/05/2019 21:34

Ladies....
question please, got my static smilie CD14 so based on that I'm 6dpo. Today & yesterday I've had A lot more than usual creamy CM (sorry...tmi). I know that it's common anyway at that time but has anyone had it where they're just getting it a lot more than usual?

ELW85 · 28/05/2019 21:33

Evening all!

@Lokicat - I bought a Bongmi thermometer. It’s got a great app with it too :)

@MrsEG - your day sounds fantastic! Good on you for doing loads of bucket list stuff, so well deserved!

@ValidUser - good luck for tomorrow. Let us know how you get on!

MrsLBear · 28/05/2019 21:23

Hi ladies, I've been lurking for a while again since my mmc in February but had so much going on and my body wasn't back to normal yet but I feel like this month it is for the first time since it all happened.

How are you all? Still hanging on to this rollercoaster of a ride?

One of my school friends is due a month after I would of been and found out today she's having a girl. Such a blow but I'm so happy for her.
What doesn't kill us makes us stronger 'n all 💫

MrsH497 · 28/05/2019 20:34

@ValidUser love it made me smile!! X

ValidUser · 28/05/2019 20:26

@MrsH497 sending you hugs. And a story that made me laugh. And some universal wisdom. X

Thank you ladies just feels like a horrid day but it'll get better. X

FlapJackered · 28/05/2019 20:02

@Bettythecat I am so glad you're feeling better today! Fingers crossed af stays away!

@Jessikka I am so jealous you got to see Spice Girls!! Were they amazing?

@XjustagirlX opks sometimes do that to me too, they will get dark but not positive then go light again then a few days later I get the positive.

@MrsEG I love your bucket list, such a good idea!
I had the same with the midwife appointment, I had called to cancel it and left a message but they hadn't received it. It was quite a shock when they called. @MrsH497 I am sorry, it is like another wave of sadness. The sadness will always be there but it does get better with time. ❤️

@ValidUser that sounds like a good plan of action, I love the weird combinations of food we eat while ttc. I will literally try anything at this stage 😂

@LokiCat I use the natural cycles one which is quite good! It does beep but it is not too loud and doesn't have a light, and it saves the reading so you don't have to look at it until you get up.

I think I have ovulated but temps haven't properly gone up yet, they are only just over the cover line. 🤞🏻tomorrow will bring a nice high one!

ValidUser · 28/05/2019 18:52

@MrsEG I'm from Cork too, but living on the Galway/Mayo border! Small world (small island).

@ValidUser Thinking happy thoughts for you! Where in Ireland are you? All of my family are from Cork!

@MrsH497 I know how you feel - with my MMC as I was packing a bag to go in for my D&C the midwife called me asking where I was as I was a no-show for my booking in appt. I had to tell her I was actually about to go for a D&C (which was happening in a different hospital - we have three to choose from in my area, and I for the D&C I just picked the one with the soonest appointment). Like you, she was absolutely wonderful about it but it was such a horrible call to receive. I don’t think the communication through NHS travels particularly quickly at all. Hope you’re feeling better soon xx

Just checking in to see if there were any BFPs to congratulate!!

Got started on our little bucket list today; funfair on the beach! Went on the waltzers, drank daiquiris. Such a wonderful day. Determined to make every day this week just like this one, especially as it’s almost my birthday!
