Sorry that sounded really rude. Totally unintentional.

@FlapJackered read the post - this is caused by a hCG injection. 😂

Ahhhhhhhh @ValidUser !!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! Really, truly SO happy for you! 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤️ I had a feeling it would happen for you soon. I bet your DH is over the moon too! Such a lucky day today! I almost want to poas at 5dpo! 😂

ValidUser · 30/05/2019 21:15

*This is not a real BFP!

Said I'd POAS and see what the trigger did. 😂

@MrsEG I'm so glad you're getting seen. And I also love minstrels.

Kiza · 30/05/2019 21:08

@Larrydavid @ELW85 glad it's not just me, once I've typed a response to one person I've forgotten the usernames of the other people and what each person said- can you imagine if I did get pregnant how awful the baby brain would be?!
Not sure I'd be able to function 🤪

MrsEG · 30/05/2019 20:56

@ELW85 Ha I hope you enjoyed every bite of it! I used to be a dairy milk girl but have turned to the Galaxy side in recent years (cannot say no to a Minstrel!) Yep so pleased - when the woman on the phone said ‘would next Thursday be too soon?’ I could have cried! Only wish I’d known about them sooner really! Just crossing my fingers and toes now that nothing really nasty pops up during the tests but we’ll cross that bridge if and when xx

ELW85 · 30/05/2019 20:51

@LokiCat - aww your surprises sound lovely! I’m really pleased he did something nice for you :)

@MrsEG - that’s a bargain to be fair! And you’ll be making progress straight away, with the speed of the tests, so well worth it :) oh, and your birthday plans sound fantastic!

I should point out that there was so much talk of Galaxy today, I actually went to the shop at work to buy some Blush

MrsEG · 30/05/2019 20:42

@MrsH497 Oh Hun, try not to let it upset you (easier said than done I know) - so pleased to hear you are otherwise feeling better!

@ELW85 I know, I’m so pleased. I’ll have initial tests done on the day and get my results within an hour - I am absolutely over the moon about it. £275 too for the appointment which I didn’t think was too ludicrous at all!

@LokiCat My friends have been unbelievable throughout it all - were all having a party this weekend too as bucket list item to get wasted with all the girls needs to be done ASAP as of COURSE I’ll be preggo very soon ha! Stocked up on vino this evening :) No birthday plans other than me and DH both having the day off so will just spend it together (probably in our PJs eating Galaxy and watching Riverdale)
Your DH is too cute!!!

LokiCat · 30/05/2019 20:29

@Larrydavid oh have an amazing time in New York! I desperately want to go back, loved it there. Fingers crossed AF doesn't show up and you have positive news when you get back!

@MrsEG great news about the consultant! Hopefully this will be the start of getting some answers soon. The fundraiser idea sounds lovely, how great that you were able to raise so much - you have some wonderful friends!
Have you got any plans for your birthday?

@Tashdreams that sounds promising, hopefully AF is starting to show up!

@Fivebyfive2 wow 8 weeks already! I have everything crossed for you that everything will be okay. I hope all goes well at your booking in appt xx

Got home later than usual tonight. DH had dinner ready on the table and a beautiful bouquet of roses 😍 little things like this make me just keep falling in love all over again.

I hope you ladies have a lovely evening xx

ELW85 · 30/05/2019 20:01

@MrsEG - fantastic news about the consultant!! It’s so great to hear success stories, and so hopefully it’s comforting to know that you’re going to see that person after such a poor experience!

MrsEG · 30/05/2019 19:54

@Fivebyfive2 Will definitely keep everyone posted! Good luck on Monday. It’s so hard being pregnant again post-loss - maybe mention any anxiety to the midwife to see if they can prioritise your scan or even give you an early one at the EPU? Anything to keep any madness at bay! I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you though for a super healthy happy 9 months! Let us know how you get on! Gosh 8 weeks already where has that gone!

MrsH497 · 30/05/2019 19:53

@MrsEG I'm doing ok day 2 of no tears which is good. Still off work and waiting for a start date for my new role as I don't want to go back to my old team. The lady who announced her pregnancy just before our MC initially was offering sympathies and now has avoided contact with me and been posting about her perfect "babymoon" holiday just hurt.

So I'm doing better thank you lovely xx

Fivebyfive2 · 30/05/2019 19:50

@MrsEG, that's amazing!! And good on you for the fund raising, you're awesome! Keep us posted and I hope the appointment goes well xx We have our booking apt on Monday when I'll be a little over 8 weeks! As that is time we realised there was a problem last time, I have warned dh I may be a tad, ahem, crazy(?!) next week?! Hopefully all will be OK though! Xxx

MrsEG · 30/05/2019 19:37

@MrsH497 Thanks lovely, how are you feeling? Are you still off work?

@Tashdreams Fingers crossed AF is finally on the way for you!

@Fivebyfive2 thank you lovely. How are you doing, have you had your booking in etc yet?

@Larrydavid Oh That is so so kind of you, thank you! From what I took today, GP was basically saying that because we got pregnant 3 times, there’s nothing they can do - they would only do the standard fertility tests if we were struggling to conceive. As we have miscarried all three, it needs to be a specialist. But if you can drop in to convo and see if she agrees that would be fab!!

So I have a private appointment booked for next week :)
In a weird turn of events, as my birthday is Monday I did one of those Facebook birthday fundraisers for Tommy’s as a way of letting people know about what’s been going on with us (hoped to raise £100; it’s at £600 and counting in just over 2 days)
We’ve had people who we haven’t seen in years message us with similar stories, and one girl (from high school!!) gave me the details of the private clinic and consultant she used. She is currently in her third trimester, after 3 losses. I called tonight and have an appt with the same consultant next week :) it’s my birthday present from me to me!! Will let you all know how it goes xx

Larrydavid · 30/05/2019 19:22

@MrsEG - if you have a question you need an answer to, ping it over, my best mate is a GP and knows lots about fertility and is stuck on a plane with me for 7 hours tomorrow - I can see if I can secretly ask her (without giving away that we're also trying! Secret squirrel style)

@Bettythecat I've not tried temping - I honestly didn't even know where to start looking but will check out your suggestion. I really wanted to be all chilled about ttc but equally need to give it a good go before my periods get super painful again!

I'm heading to New York tomorrow and I think AF due the day I'm back. Hoping it will be a good distraction!

Fivebyfive2 · 30/05/2019 19:18

@MrsEG, really sorry to hear you're having such a rubbish time. Thinking of you xxx It's nice to have lots of nice stuff planned, but also there's nothing wrong with taking time to be sad if that's how you feel! Gp's really are a lottery. I don't blame you for looking into going private. Also, galaxy chocolate is the breakfast of champions 😋

Larrydavid · 30/05/2019 19:17

@Kiza omg I thought this was just me! My memory is so bad, I can only remember two things at once!

ELW85 · 30/05/2019 19:10

@Tashdreams - that’s awesome news!! Fingers crossed but it sounds like AF is at your door :) never thought I’d be happy for someone for that, haha!

@Kiza - it’s hard to keep up to be fair, but I just try and remember. It’d be my luck that there’s a better way to do it that I don’t know about!

Kiza · 30/05/2019 19:07

@Bettythecat just caught up from last night and congratulations, so happy for you and lovely to hear about a BFP in this group.
How do you all keep up with the convos?
Also how do you remember each persons previous comments when typing your response? Is there a way of reading the messages at the same time as typing a response or do I just have a rubbish memory? 😆🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Tashdreams · 30/05/2019 18:55

@Bettythecat congratulations!!! Has the dreaded google helped with the decision on whether to continue with the extra vit c etc?

@purplefig @ELW85 @LokiCat @orangeloo thank you for your support - I don't want to count any chickens, but I've got some spotting today (CD62) we share so much here haha, here's the warning about tmi....
It's dark brown jelly like clotting in the tissue when I go to the loo - not enough to warrant a tampon or pad, my periods have always been very light but not this light. I don't want to get my hopes up, it's certainly not enough to be classed as AF but maybe, just maybe, she's on her way. FX!!

MrsH497 · 30/05/2019 18:00

@MrsEG aw lovely sorry you've had such a pants day! GP's do seem to be a real luck of the draw. Sending virtual hugs

Lola871 · 30/05/2019 17:14

Evening ladies, I'm out for the month. No sign of AF yet but a BFN, and if I ovulated late then I won't have caught it, so just waiting for AF now!

Fingers crossed for a few more BFPs this month though!

rose555 · 30/05/2019 17:13

Just checking in and saw very happy news!!! Congratulations @bettythecat - so happy for you.
Hope everyone else’s weeks are going well. I’m 10DPO and feeling a little different than other cycles - tightness / bloating feeling in my lower abdominal region and sore boobs (but I get those a lot anyway). I basically feel almost like my period is coming, but maybe very slightly different. I’ve also had a cold sore threatening for a few days which has really arrived today. I never get cold sores!
So... am curious to see if this is anything promising or not....
