Those internet cheapie dip sticks are the devil. I've been using one a day since CD8 (and still get BFN so I think I'm going this month). It's like a ritual and I feel like an absolute nutjob but I can't stop myself! Blush

MrsEG · 31/05/2019 11:39

Whatever works for you @ValidUser, works for you. If that will keep you calm and get you through the wait then go for it!

@Larrydavid Thanks so much for asking about the aspirin - I think it’s fairly clear at this point not to take it unless a consultant tells you to! I have a bottle of it in the cupboard too 🙊 So pleased I found out now rather than later!! Enjoy your trip!

@PinkFizz19 Welcome back :) It is hard - the first due date from my first MC is coming up in 5 weeks and I’m dreading it. I just do my best not to obsess over it. Much, much easier said than done! Fingers crossed for you this cycle 🤞🏻

ValidUser · 31/05/2019 11:22

@rose555 congratulations! ❤️

@PinkFizz19 welcome back. X

So here's my plan. I'm no longer giving FRER my moneys, but I have about 60 very cheap dip tests. Someone on Reddit has been peeing on those every day since her trigger. I'm thinking of doing the same.

I know some people find frequent POAS distressing, but it really makes me feel calmer to know what's happening. And line-spotting gives me hope. And a BFN when AF is coming is less disconcerting to me than a "surprise" period.

@Larrydavid I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back! Our neighbours are supposed to be having a BBQ tomorrow but its rained all week so not sure if that will still be happening! Out for a big family lunch on Sunday which I am looking forward too other than that just trying to get all the housework done before our holidays!

Larrydavid · 31/05/2019 10:53

@Kiza @Bettythecat omg you've saved my memory! So much easier to write messages. I honestly just thought everyone else was super human (I mean, I'm sure you are in your owns way!)

@rose555 huge congratulations- it's so nice to see a BFP - and know that symptoms do sometimes translate into pregnancy! You must be so pleased.

@MrsEG - so glad you got some good advice. My friend also said she wouldn't recommend aspirin - not without a proper consult and good reason. Good luck with the consultant. It's always good to go in armed with information!

@Lozzlepop thank you! I'm really excited - and timing wise it's good as hopefully I won't get obsessed with ttc! What are you up to this weekend?

@Bettythecat Completely agree - I like to research everything - it does make you feel in control! Though I'm trying to be optimistic. Also, please stick around!

@orangeloo Totally with you on the fitness front! Want to be in good shape for it it does happen!

@Lola871 I've only used the cb ones - which were super easy. FMU - five mins later a result.

Oh man, I have so much work to do before my flight this evening but instead I'm having breakfast in a nearby cafe, researching early symptoms.

Lozzlepop · 31/05/2019 10:49

@MrsEG its so yummy isn't it!

Morning @PinkFizz19 👋🏻welcome back, so nice to see you here! Did you find it was worse than pre MC AF? I know what you mean about counting where you would have been weeks wise - it is tough 😞

PinkFizz19 · 31/05/2019 10:39

Morning ladies. Hope everyone is well 😊 Sorry for being AWOL but it's done me good. My first AF was hard, emotionally and physically after the MC but I was then glad to get back on it as soon as she left. I'm currently 4/5dpo and DP is glad of the rest. Just got to wait it out now 😣 I keep counting the weeks where I would have been (13 this week) can't help it and it makes me so sad.

Sending lots of love and pixie dust to everyone and Congrats on any BFPs I've missed 💖

dahlia123 · 31/05/2019 10:16

That's all really interesting stuff @MrsEG, good to have some clear guidance. The fundraiser is a great thing to do too.

Sorry to hear about AF @orangeloo - also on cycle 6 and getting more and more frustrated. Think stepping things up sounds like a good idea.

Stick around @Bettythecat!

Fantastic news @rose555 So happy for you!

Is there a chance you ovulated early @kiza?

Kiza · 31/05/2019 10:10

So I've had a weird symptom that is beginning to drive me slightly crazy.
I ov'd Sunday and ever since Monday have had the tiniest, faintest brown discharge in the morning that disappears midday. At first I thought 'oooh maybe that's implantation bleeding people talk about' as also had a heavy vagina feeling early in the week too.
AF not due till Wednesday next week so either it's some weird discharge that I've never had before or AF is trying to mark her territory 10 days before she's due?! 😫

MrsEG · 31/05/2019 09:57

@Bettythecat The anxiety is awful!! But just remember, the odds are in your favour - it is way more likely that everything will be just fine than not, so I think you are fine to be optimistic and try to enjoy it! I have everything crossed for you :) please do stick around!

@Lozzlepop I tried that Darkmilk stuff - bloody delicious!!

@rose555 Ahhh what wonderful news and such a great line! Congratulations!

Lozzlepop · 31/05/2019 09:44

@rose555 oh I bet you are bursting to tell DH, how are you going to do it?

PaintingOwls · 31/05/2019 09:41

Oh congratulations rose555! Flowers

cupcakesandglitter · 31/05/2019 09:34

@Bettythecat you're not annoying us!!! Stick around XX

Congrats @rose555 xxx

Kiza · 31/05/2019 09:33

@rose555 I understand your feelings of 'is this real? Am I in shock?' It's hard to fully accept it at first but wow congrats for you!
Such a lovely way to start the weekend ☺️

rose555 · 31/05/2019 09:12

Oh @bettythecat I missed your message above, sorry! And thank you! This is cycle 6....

rose555 · 31/05/2019 09:11

@orangeloo @lozzlepop thank you both. I think I am 11dpo according to Ava. I really don’t feel like it’s real, having gone to bed so deflated!! I’m not getting excited yet and will test again tomorrow and Sunday. Haven’t told DH yet as he had already left for work so am just heading off to work myself with a big fat secret to keep. I don’t know if it’s just my mind, but I feel really quite nauseous... maybe it’s the shock!

Bettythecat · 31/05/2019 09:10

@rose555 wohooooo I knew it!! Congratulations! What cycle is this for you? How exciting! Xxx

Lozzlepop · 31/05/2019 09:06

@rose555 amazing news!!! Huge congratulations to you, what a lovely way to start the weekend!!!

orangeloo · 31/05/2019 09:02

@rose555 yaaay congratulations!! Do you know what DPO you are? X

rose555 · 31/05/2019 08:56

Morning everyone. I think I might have a little bit of good news to share after yesterday’s weird feelings. After work I saw some friends in the pub (one told me she was pregnant) and I was SO genuinely happy for her. But by the time I got home I felt completely and utterly exhausted, like I couldn’t keep my eyes open, and I was grouchy to the point that DH called me out on it, and I confessed that I’d had these weird uterus feelings all day and didn’t know whether to be excited or whether the worst AF of all time was about to arrive. I was visibly swollen down there and went to bed feeling really quite flat and sad. By the end of the night I’d convinced myself AF was coming. Anyway, I tested this morning with FMU after another little rise in my temp on Ava. And I saw this....

Morning ladies, wow I have missed a lot last night!

@Bettythecat haha it was a decaf as I have switched from regular coffee as it gives me bad anxiety and lord knows I don't need that! 😂Please stay with us as long as you like!

@Larrydavid oh enjoy New York hun, I was there at Xmas - literally my favourite place in the world!! Fingers crossed AF stays away!

@MrsEG so happy to hear you have managed to get a private appointment that sounds really positive! Also such a lovely idea to celebrate your birthday by doing the fundraiser! Hope you have a lovely weekend with your girls! Also I would totally recommend the new Galaxy Darkmilk 😋

@Kiza I am constantly scrolling backwards and forwards 😂

@Fivebyfive2 hope everything goes well with your booking in appointment stay positive!

@LokiCat awww bless him he sounds like a good un!

@MrsEG glad to hear you got some further info on Aspirin, thanks for sharing!

@Bettythecat looks like an interesting article to read with my morning brew! I never knew you could do this hence why I hardly reply in the evenings as I can never remember what everyones posted!!

What's everyone up to this weekend?

Kiza · 31/05/2019 08:46

@Bettythecat haha the things we do!!

Bettythecat · 31/05/2019 08:39

@Kiza haha that's exactly what I was doing. My dad and brother once caught me doing it on a long road trip- there I was scribbling down all these random user names and comments- I pretended I was on a cat forum and they believed that 😂 says a lot about me.

Also ladies if anyone would like a full pack (maybe one missing) of pregnacare conception and a load of OneStep OPKs please let me know and I will post them to you (free of course). I'm going to think positive and think I won't be needing them.

Kiza · 31/05/2019 08:33

@Bettythecat wow have just tested this out and that's amazing! Still learning how to use this forum!
@Larrydavid @ELW85 did you see Betty's response on how you can type a response to someone, then go to the cross symbol top right and it takes you back to the thread so you can then see who you want to reply to then go back to tor response and it doesn't delete what you've written!
Boy this is going to save me some time, I'd even though of jotting down on a piece of paper people's names and what I'm responding to 🤦🏼‍♀️

Bettythecat · 31/05/2019 08:33

@MrsEG it hasn't yet sunk in properly I don't think. As we know a BFP is only the start of the journey so whilst I am cautiously optimistic the road to my baby actually being here seems like a very long one. Wish I could just fast forward to the 20 week scan and avoid the anxiety of the first few weeks! Symptoms wise, I'm hot, felt very bloated yesterday and think I feel the beginnings of nausea...secretly wishing I get morning sickness as I didn't last time. Thanks for the info about Adia- I'm going to sign up on the way into work.

Also please do tell me to eff off if my lurking is annoying anyone! I won't be offended honest!
